Have anyone even heard of this manga? I'm not sure if there's an anime series to it, but I do know in Japan, they have specially made a live action drama... And that it stars Erika Touda- the same actress in Death Note... But that's not the point.

For me, who intends to major in Psychology when I get into University one day, this manga does a great job at introducing some concepts. Though, it does it in a more realistic fashion- how it can be applied to everyday life (through swindling??!!)... But of course, in relation to the story line...

Like it's name suggests, this is a game of lies. Where one would have to lie to another in order to survive the game. The story is about this particular girl, who is known to be foolishly honest. She was one day plunged into this game by sheer luck- or misfortune- and left with no choice but to play.

However, her honesty proved to be her undoing. She was easily tricked in the first round. Desperate, she turns to a 'genius swindler'- whose name I forgot- who helped her to recover her losses. Since then, the two partnered up, and proceeded on in this 'Liar Game'.

I have yet to read the manga up to it's latest point, but so far, the manga had done well to impress me. I have yet to come across a manga that is this deep in meaning since Monster (Then again, it's likely due to the fact I haven't got much exposure to a variety of Mangas..).

To those like me, who wishes to study Psychology at a later date, this may be a way to introduce that.

Nevertheless, I must ask. Is there even anyone else who have read/watched this series? I mean, I have to admit it doesn't sound that popular, considering I would never have came across it if I hadn't been lucky at that time.

Such a smexy manga, full of suspense, and mindgames

This is one of my favorite mangas and its slowly building up popularity

If I remember correctly the guys name is Akiyama

i know this manga well it has recently been made into a japanese live action drama and i must admit it is pretty amazing. There is two seasons in this live action drama which follows there actions whilst trying to complete the liar game. It does follow a lot of the manga but seriously if you have read all the manga and truely love it then you really need to see this live action drama because it will blow you away!

I read Liar Game ^^. I'm a huge sucker for the mindgames/psychological/philosophical stuff, so I enjoyed Liar Game overall. Some of the rounds in the middle were a little farfetched to me, but the new game with the chairs is looking pretty interesting.

OMFG, this show is awesome. Im only into the start of series 1 and Im getting hooked XD

Kanzaki Nao is an honest college student who receives a hundred million yen one day, along with a card saying she has been chosen to take part in the "Liar Game". The aim of the game is to trick the other players out of their hundred million dollars. At the end, the winner gets the hundred million and the loser is a hundred million yen in debt. The next day, she receives notification that her opponent is her former teacher, Fujisawa Kazuo. She goes to him, seeking help, but ends up getting tricked into handing her money over. Desperate, she approaches the police for help, but they are unable to do anything. However, she is told of a mastermind swindler, Akiyama Shinichi, who is to be released from jail the next day. Desperate, she goes to him for help.

Toda Erika who plays Kanzaki is sooooooo adorable and you cant help but feel sprry for her character. Matsuda Shota as Akiyama is a hot totty and its a nice balance of his seriousness and Toda's quirkyness that makes this show a must see. It has a second series and Im going to try and get them on DVD if possible. The show loves leaving you a cliff hangers and its well written.
