Have anyone even heard of this manga? I'm not sure if there's an anime series to it, but I do know in Japan, they have specially made a live action drama... And that it stars Erika Touda- the same actress in Death Note... But that's not the point.
For me, who intends to major in Psychology when I get into University one day, this manga does a great job at introducing some concepts. Though, it does it in a more realistic fashion- how it can be applied to everyday life (through swindling??!!)... But of course, in relation to the story line...
Like it's name suggests, this is a game of lies. Where one would have to lie to another in order to survive the game. The story is about this particular girl, who is known to be foolishly honest. She was one day plunged into this game by sheer luck- or misfortune- and left with no choice but to play.
However, her honesty proved to be her undoing. She was easily tricked in the first round. Desperate, she turns to a 'genius swindler'- whose name I forgot- who helped her to recover her losses. Since then, the two partnered up, and proceeded on in this 'Liar Game'.
I have yet to read the manga up to it's latest point, but so far, the manga had done well to impress me. I have yet to come across a manga that is this deep in meaning since Monster (Then again, it's likely due to the fact I haven't got much exposure to a variety of Mangas..).
To those like me, who wishes to study Psychology at a later date, this may be a way to introduce that.
Nevertheless, I must ask. Is there even anyone else who have read/watched this series? I mean, I have to admit it doesn't sound that popular, considering I would never have came across it if I hadn't been lucky at that time.
