I mean its a game... So yay lets talk about a childrens card game! Thats a joke. Lets discuss MTG wether its the card game, console games, anything!

Anyways ive played MTG since middle-school and have currently 5 decks fully constructed and am working on a R/B vampire deck which will run me around 100 dollars on completion. I mostly play Legacy but the new deck is going to be modern.

Current Decks:
Legacy Black Kill Deck (Full of kill spell cards and creature effects that just obliterate any creature played)
Legacy White Soldier Deck
Legacy Blue Discard Deck
Black Pauper Deck (Nothing but common cards, its fun to play with these with your friends)
Legacy Red Devour Deck

So do you enjoy the game or am I alone here?

I always wanted to get into it back in middleschool when my friends were getting into it, but i just never understood it. Even when it was released as a pc game, i would lose the tutorial. just never clicked for me.

I used to play Magic with my (now ex) girlfriend back in 2006 or 2007. I still have my old cards, and have often thought about getting back into it..... thing is, buying cards cost money (which I don't have much of) and also I don't have the time to do it.... but often i think about how much fun we had in that old card shop we used to hang out at.

I've been wanting to get into it for a long time. I do for a bit, but none of my friends can stay into anything. It isn't helped by the fact that card games pretty much...well, need two people. :sad3:

But I absolutely love it. I really wish I could play it a lot more. Maybe some day.

I'm currently building up a black/blue zombie deck. What I really need is Coat of Arms to buff them up, and Rooftop Storm to make them flying. I also need at least one more Cellar Door, some of the better zombie cards (I've got random pick, as is right now) and Endless Ranks Of the Dead. Right now it's a mix between Zombie cards and tokens, but eventually I plan to have a zombie deck dedicated to each.

The problem I have with MTG's Standard Format is that it is so effing expensive it's not even funny. You need to have a good job or lots of spare cash to competitively play this game most of the time. I have taken to playing EDH (Elder Dragon Highlander) which is a format in Magic where you have a commander (1 legendary creature) and a 99 card deck with only one copy of any card of your commanders colors (excluding basic land). It's a lot less expensive and it's a lot of fun ^^.

Levitation can help you there to make them flying, though it is a blue spell. Another mass swarm for zombie tokens is Army of the damned and it has flashback so you can use it twice.
I have a mash of a couple decks myself atm. If you don't want to run the blue land and use some artifacts Manalith's might be a choice.

One is a multi colored elesh-norn and knight exmplare deck. Also used Hero of bladeholds, in short it's a knight deck. Another is a white deck I run that is soldier swarm, most of the cards bring out soldier tokens and run emerya lands 3 to help bring back creatures that die. Also have a blu mill/sphinx deck enough said on the mill part I think. Last one I made is an Avatar deck and it can really mess with people if I get the right creatures out on the field. Having a 4/4 unblockable and a 6/6 with trample followed by an 8/8 that forces everything to attack if able and gives them double strike is a bit of a douche move :sad3:.

Levitation only works for one round, doesn't it? Or one creature? Rooftop Storm does it for ALL of them, permanently. Most good.

No it an enchantment that give flying to all your creatures. Or if you want to waste a bit more mana for an artifact that gives all your stuff flying, haste, trample, vigilance, first strike, and pro red and black. Can always go the Akroma's Memorial route.

I use to play MTG all the time when I first got my hands on them, back when I was 10. This was my card game with a few of my other friends, while everyone else had Pokemon cards, we had MTG. Then we slowly just completely stopped playing the game way later in life... like when I turned 18. I ended up giving my cards to my little cousin, he goes to competitions and everything, he is crazy good.

I always wanted to try to get the Duels of the Planewalker games, but I never want to play by myself :sad3:.
