Media.Vision, the developers of Wild ARMs and more recently The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road, are partnering with Square Enix to for a new RPG.

The unnamed game will launch on the iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad store later this year. Details about the project are scarce since the semi-announcement comes from a Media Vision hiring spree. Anyone looking for a mobile phone programming or planner job in Tokyo?

Media.Vision and Square Enix first worked together on Heavy Metal Thunder for the PlayStation 2. Just from the concept art above, I don’t think we’re going to see robot wrestlers in this collaborative effort.

Interesting :hmmm: Am RPG for the iPhone eh? It's too bad that there isn't much detail about the game though... I would probably be more into it if I had a somewhat of an idea XD. But, I'll check into it :monster:

I'm playing a PSP game of Wild Arms, and so far I like what I'm playing, so combining with Square-Enix seems like an epic package.

But alas, another iPhone game I can't play Dx

I think iPhone would probably the best format, less cost more profit etc.
Plus, I don't have a clue who Media.Vision are and I don't think they have much of reputation if any :hmmm:

Unfortunately I have neither an iPod Touch or an iPhone. I certainly won't be getting an iPad (I wanted it to be called iAyeCapn :wacky:) in the foreseeable future because I can't seem to find much real use for it. The iPhone is certainly becoming a huge gaming force now. First Song Summoner, then FFI and FFII and now this from Square Enix.

I'm still interested to see what this new RPG is going to be and how well it will do in the Apple's machines. However, I too have never heard of Media.Vision (which does not need a dot in the middle of the name), but I can't imagine they've made many good, notable games if I've never heard of them before. :hmmm:
