Ok, it seems on this forum there's alot of people who can't make heads of the FFVII story, plot, or anything to do with it in general (which is fair, as it is quite complex). If you are one of these people, I suggest going through the following steps to help you in understanding the story more:
1) Play the game. Funnly enough this helps a great deal.....No really it does....
2) Play the game a second time. There will be things you missed out the first time, always is, KNOWONE is an exception.
3) Look on the internet for plot analysis'. Alot may be unoffical, but the better ones tend to have good sources.
4) See 2
5) Play the other games and watch Advent Children AFTER FFVII itself. Remember only the original game was intended to be Canon initially, everything else is recent additions that can and do contridict the events of the original. Its best to take things once at a time, no need to figure out everything thats happened before the events of the game if technicly they havent actually happend yet.
6) See 2. Yes, again....
7) Read the Ultimania. It has info on the characters and plot from SE THEMSELFS! everything you read is supposed to be taken as fact as it explains the points you may not have picked up during the game or anywhere else.
8) Don't take everything others say on here to seirously, remember this place is crawling with incompitant gamers such as yourself who like to base their ideas on hear'say
9) see 2. Just for good measure
10) Keep in mind that no matter how much you want it too, a remake will NOT make it simpler on your petty minds.
If all else fails remember point 2 is always a good one to revise.....
