It has to be said that they were awesome. Dispite the size of the playable area they made the world seem huge.

I really loved the cutscenes. I like all FF cutscenes really but this is the first game in which I actually watched the cutscenes. I liked what they did with the music too, where they added a chior thing to it. I think that they improved it a lot. It chilled me sometimes lol.

Sorry if there's already a thread for this but I didn't see one.

Yes, the cutscenes were very well done in this game, especially since they were used correctly and were to the point. No unnecessary dialogue or actions. Their timing was also well done. But above all, one of the things that made the cutscenes in this game so delightful to watch was the excellent voice acting and the very much improved dialogue. I've said it many times but I'll say it again, the dialogue in games is as crucial as it is in movies, since very story driven RPGs or movies tend to rely on it moreso than others who are more oriented towards the action or gameplay. Without good dialogue you can't have a thrilling story. And FFXII's style of dialogue is quite refined, almost like watching a play. The great visuals are the icing on the cake. All the situations in the cutscenes of this game were, for the most part, interesting stuff to watch. People hate it when there's a lot of cutscenes and dialogue in games, but I think FFXII had the right amount of both. But like I said, it's not about quantity, it's about quality. As for the music, I thought it complimented the mood of the situations quite nicely.

I thought the music was much more subtle than previous FF games, which, for the most part, I liked. The only times it was disappointing was during game play, when there wasn't any at all and it made the game much too boring.

The cut scenes were incredible, especially with the voice acting. What I hate most about FFX, what keeps me from being able to enjoy it, is the hideous voice acting. But, in FFXII, I look forward to the cut scenes just to hear them. It's weird, but I feel like it made it that much better.

I loved the subtlety of the music, especially the track in the FMV with Bahamut. Of course though, Archadia's theme is also pretty awesome. Dun-dun-dundundundun...

The music and cut scenes in Final Fantasy XII are awesome I like the music of the judjes and the esper fight however I have not finished playing XII yet.

The Esper music was really cool! It was great entertainment when I was fighting Adrammelech.
I think that the music for The Undying fight was like a better version of the Archades music. Dun-dun-dundundundunDUN!

Yeah the music in XII was great and the cutscenes were well made as well. I liked most of the bosses intros.

The music was great for the most part. But "kiss me godbye" (last song) was a disappointement... I always look forward to the end song, but this one was not very good... Really enjoyed the cutsceens though!! xD Agree with Franice! the voices where great!! So much better that FFX!

More cutscenes could have been made into FMV's, such as
Reddas dying
and
Drace's death

Either way, I loved the cutscenes as they were.

i liked the music in this game it was great the cutscenes were really detailed even though vann looked more and more feminine every time they showed him imo but the did a great job nonetheless

I thought Vaan's character was based off a female model or something...

Yep, I think basically all the Final Fantasys on the PS2 had achieved quite detailed, high-quality, cutscenes. The music was also great too, as did the rest of the series.

Nothing really disappointed, all in all.

The cutscene close to the end of the game when the bahamut and the other airships of the empire where attacking the rebels and their flagships was pretty intense. Probably the best cutscene in my opinon cause it basically was starwars with a final fantasy spin.

best music in the game is most likely the boss battle music. For some reason it pumps me up to keep going and fighting espically on bosses that have over a million hp like the hell wyrm and omega MKXII
