just talk about MCR. their music, members, future, etc. just don't flame about how this is an "emo" band. you don't like 'em, don't post.

Their sound isn't bad if you're into it.

Generally people will either love them or hate them. I'm in between.

it's a pretty bad band

generic sound. the singer is a tool. pretty much a mainstream sell out band that doesn't care about their fans at all.

Dunno what to think about them, honestly. They're not bad, but they fell to meme-status incredibly fast after Black Parade came out (See; WHEN I WAS... threads on 4chan).

And there's something about their image that makes me want to walk up to Gerard Way and punch him in the face.

Still, I can't outright say that I hate their songs. Black Parade did make for a rather epic end credits sequence in AMV Hell IV.

EDIT: That's perhaps the other sad thing here. They've got a decent number of albums out and all anyone remembers is Black Parade :p

EDIT AGAIN: Nanana was rather fun. Nice to see them doing something with an energetic beat and bright colors.

Well their new album "Danger Days: The True Lives of the Killjoys" is a great album. The title really brought me in, and the album as a whole really delivered. I personally love "SING", that song is just great. The whole album is just great, and no matter what people say about them selling out or someshit, I know I love em', and that's all that matters. :mokken:

I can't really comment on the new album; all I can really say is I've heard some of their new stuff on AMTV and AMTV2 and they sound a lot different than before.

Don't really know if that is a good or bad thing yet.

I have the new album too and I think it's really good, S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W being an instant play fest. :lew:
It's a different approach to their usual stuff, but it's a nice change, I really like it. I do agree that this band has a very strong love/hate relationship thrown at it by a lot of people, but I just like the songs that they do. Simple as really.

Yeah, that's for sure, they do sound different from before, and trust me, I wasn't sure if it was good or bad(as you said), but I can surely tell ya that it is indeed a good change:ryan:.

Yes, that is one good song. The fact that the entire album, and like their others, is a conceptual album. The theme of this one is actually quite interesting :hmmm:. I just love the "Jet-Boy And the Kobra Kid/Traffic Report" segmant/short song thing. It's quite interesting, and also quite amusing :lew:.

On a side-note, I recently got their first album "I brought you Bullets, You Brought me your Love", and I have to say, that's a great album. :ryan:.

Well, I'll go give the album a listen to and get back to you with my verdict. :3
