So, i got a ps3 from my gf for christmas (who i just proposed to yesterday :P)

And found out i can download some old school games etc which i think is pretty rad.

Does anyone know how they choose which games you can get? or if you can request...whether they will bring out all games eventually?

Or! Is it possible to put emulators onto a portable HD and play them off your ps3 IE: snes etc!

I'm pretty sure emu's don't work on the ps3..........

And I'm guessing your an FF fan right?

They have FFVII,FFVII and FFIX on the PS store..............

and also depending on your PS3 model, only some have a backward compatability and can play PS1 ans PS2 games.
 
Emus don't work on the PS3 as far as I'm aware. For the PSN PS1 titles, I think it would be fair to presume that they are chosen from past popularity so if the game had mass popularity back as a PS1 title there's more of a chance it'll be brought to PSN, though if there's enough demand it's probably fair to say they'd consider bring a PS1 title to the PSN store too. In regards to requests, you get game developers now and again who post on twitter etc. asking to tweet what PS1 title you'd like to see on PSN but it's not a common thing.
