I think calling people n00bs is a little disrespectful IMO. Most of the time, they are just confused and no one is helping them. Quite sad really.
 
I agree, Ace Strife. I myself, was once a noob, although I always had a habit of typing properly. But still, I had the mindset of a noob.

Don't we all start out as noobs in some way or another. But with a guidance we grow. And it's up to each and everyone of us to help them find the light. :angel:... .. alright yeah that was corndy.

They learn after they're banned numerous times. That's how I learned. :monster:
 
there's a difference between n00bs and Newbs.

n00bs are annoying. they dont follow rules because they don't read them. They are informed many times on what to do or handle a situation, but they ignore this beneficial info. In the end, they become parasites and suck away the energy of whatever media they are part of.

A Newb however is simply a new person that is willing to learn and will even work on it. They are helpful to the colony. They in term evolve from Newb to Non-newbs. If they evolve high enough, they can become n00b-killers.

When a newb makes a mistake and someone corrects them, they take the advice and use it.

When a n00b makes a mistake and someone corrects them, they completely ignore them.

In that case, I just find n00bs annoying.

I like newbs. I hate n00bs with a passion. I always try my damn hardest to be a newb when i join a forum. I've only been on this forum for a month, and even though my status says full member, i still consider myself a newb.
 
Same here, I think the best time to drop that 'newb' status is after you've been on forums or what have you else for at least a year or so.
