when you were born how did you get your name?
did your parents name you after someone? was it just the name in the baby name book? was their arguments on deciding? Do you like the name you were given and if not what would you change your name to? did they have 2 name decisions for you, one for each sex?

im named after my great granma and my great great granma and not the model helena christenson (not too sure if thats how you spell it) same first name, similar last name.
My mother wanted to call me Chantelle but my father wanted Helena (pronounced Hel-aina). as for the Louise, i have absolutely no idea! maby it just sounded good?

My mum has this thing about Irish names (don't ask me why) and originally I was going to be called Arnus (lol yes I know hahaha) or Ilish then she thought Serena or Serenity sounded nice but it's still a mystery to this day how I ended up with Sarah Cathleen o_O

I was supposed to be named Joseph Jeremiah, but for some reason, the people switched it to Jeremiah Joseph. I want it switched back though.
As for why, the closest I've gotten to figuring out was because the letter J runs in the family.
Either that or I was named for the Biblical prophet. ^_^

I was originally going to be named Zachariah; however, one day when my mom was waiting in the doctor's office for a check-up she hearda mother call her son "Spencer Clay". My mom liked the name "Spencer" but not "Clay".

So she named me "Spencer Christian". :) And ironically I'm not a Christian. :P

I'm not sure how I got my name but I doubt my mum had one in mind. My middle name Andrew is after my aunt Andrea who was there when I was born. Apparently she wanted me to be named Burt, because she thought I looked like Burt Reynolds but thank god it was never to be the case. ^_^ Anyway, despite being named after her, I have never met her in my life. My mum has 4 sisters and 3 brothers but there was a massive fallout with my aunt Andrea and my grandad but I'm not sure why. I never went to my grandad's funeral (I was young) but I heard that she never went.

I find it kind of funny that my middle name is named after someone who is related to me yet I have never met her. :D

I was born in a clinic in a US marine base over in Japan. Apparently, since I was born there, my parents wanted to give me a name that sounded Japanese...so they called me Mishi.

1) Mishi isn't Japanese...the closest to it is Michi.
2) My name's...ironic, really. My first and middle name is Mishi Jin. The state I live in is Michigan. Hardy har har.
