Square Enix released a new video of Estpolis, a remake or better put re-imagining of Lufia II as an action RPG. But, Estpolis isn’t just about fighting and dual screen boss battles. The game is loaded with interactive map elements like block puzzles, switches, and platforms to play with.

Estpolis uses a real time battle system where you can only control character. Want to switch? Touch Maxim, Selena, Tia, Guy, Hydekar, or Artea’s portrait on the bottom screen. Each character has their own wave art attack and combo chain.

The game looks great. It looks like a good action-rpg for the DS ^_^

With the puzzle elements, it sounds like it will be fun to play and will keep me entertained. Just hope that those puzzles incorporate the touch screen in a good way or not at all. Bad touch screen controls can break a DS game easily >_< The game looks very promising, though.

Square Enix. Localise this. Or. I will. Be very cross. :mokken:

I think it looks amazing as well for a DS game, especially with the vivid and vibrant FMVs they have managed to put in. The towns look friendly and detailed as well, which is something I expect from a good RPG.

The puzzle and action elements look really appealing. I like the fact there are puzzles to complete, which brings fresh things to a genre mainly about grinding and battling. The boss battles remind me of the Zelda ones to some extent, which excites me a lot after going through the DS Zelda games.

They'd better localise it. Europe still hasn't received Nostalgia or other RPG gems I want to get my hands on.
