Revealed during the Tokyo Game Show trailer Oerba Yun Fang is a l'Cie working with Sanctum who fights with spears and Bahamut by her side.

- Sazh's summon is Brunhild, element is fire (duh).
- The female character in the new trailer is Wolba Yun Fang. She uses a spear.
- Fang's summon is Bahamut, she is a L'Cie who helps Sanctum.
- Fang's voice actress is Mabuki Andou, best known for her role as Balsa in Moribito.

Wow, I was a few minutes too late in making the same thread.

So Ifrit is now Brunhild? Quite obscure, I'd have thought Brunhild would be more fitting as the name of a weapon or something. As for "Oerba" or "Wolba"- that has to be some tribal name or something- or at least some form of title. I can't see Vanille as being any relative to this girl.

I wager that Bahamut turns into some form of airship in Gestalt mode or something. So far:

Lightning- Odin; horse

Snow- Shiva sisters (Nyx and Styria); motorcycle

Vanille- Carbuncle(?); ?

Sazh- Ifrit/Brunhild; race car

Yun Fang- Bahamut; ?

I'm really hoping this girl ends up joining the group at some point. A spear, Bahamut, what a combination :gasp: Want In Mah Parteh!

She could end up as a secret character seeing as how Bahamut is usually an optional summon in some FFs :gasp:

GEEZ... The BAD girl gets bahamut????!!!!! Uncool. But yeah, that'd be cool if she joined the party.

As far as I'm aware, she is to be the 6th and last member of the main playable characters. Don't hold me to that just yet but I'm pretty sure she is from what I've heard.

Why is Oerba Yun Fang also called Wolba Yun Fang? And why are there two characters called Oerba?

Nice to hear that she will be Bahamut's summoner anyway.

I'm a little confused with Sazh's Ifrit not being called Ifrit, but that might just be the name of the car. I think that would make more sense. However it might just be a totally new summon, even if that would be silly as it essentially is Ifrit.

I could see that happening there, she could end up reforming. And with the information they've released on her weapon and summon, it seems even more likely, I mean, why release more battle information on someone you just fight when they haven't even released the full information on all definite playable characters (Hope and Vanille)

Regarding the "Oerba" bit I would say there are two possibilites, the lesser one being that they're family or the most likely one that it's a title rather than a name, such as "Maester" in Final Fantasy X. With the Sazh summon, it's a fire-elemental knight, at least in the trailer it's definitely not Ifrit.

Brunhild or "Brynhildr" is Norse, and a female. That is the closest I can find to what this new summon might be. I don't know much about Norse mythology, at least in regards to this character, but she is pretty much a warrior from what I can tell.

They'll probably change a lot for the game and make it their own like they do with the others, but that might give us some knowledge on why they chose that name for it. However it does look male in this game, but they do that with summons.

If there are limited playable characters in the party- that may mean limited summons- because apparently a L'Cie has one Eidolon each. So if six characters (Lightning, Snow, Sazh, Vanille, Hope(?) and Fang(?), are the six, that may mean only six useable summons.

Feel free to correct me if I'm ill-informed or something.

Oerba Yun Fang? Yeah, she needs to get in my party NOW. I don't mind limited summons if there's a lot we can do with each one.

Ah, so THAT'S her name. Wow, I've never wanted a character to join my party so badly before, but this woman practically screams badass! Really hoping Fang isn't a bad guy (kinda doubt that now). And she has Bahamut! I'm lovin' this new info. Still, she may end up as some kind of mini boss......

Ummmm like totally WTF? Why are there 2 Oerbas and why is it also Wolba? She is playable? When did that happen? She might betray the party at some point in the game. 2 Oerbas just made me think of Twins. But I cant see them a sisters tbh. Bahamut shall be awesome like always! I think the 2 Oerbas are mortal enemies. I could be wrong though.

As far as I'm aware, she is to be the 6th and last member of the main playable characters. Don't hold me to that just yet but I'm pretty sure she is from what I've heard.

:-)

They certainly have us confused with all this. I assume I'll just be waiting until I get the game till I read any more about it. Otherwise I may be trying to dig too much into it.

We will see I guess.

More updates ;))

Hope summons Alexander. :P

I got to know that Oerba Dia Vanille summons Carbuncle but I do not have the pictures yet. Also, not sure if Serah Farron (Lightning's sister who is engaged to Snow) is a playable character or not.

this final fantasy game shall save the gaming realms...for it is doomed at the moment with games like guitar hero and rock bamnd leading the way.....
