Who here like Ozzy? I know its kind of weird for someone my age to be into it... maybe.

But I have all the original Black Sabbath albums (the ones with Ozzy I mean) and All of Ozzy's solo stuff. (Missing a few live ones)

Anyway, I don't have the 2002 remasters of any of his stuff because they sound horrible with the drums and bass replaced. Stupid Ozzy... very very stupid. So 1995 Remaster FTW.

Anyway, I like all his albums. Ozzmosis took time to get used to for me but I ended up liking it. And Black Rain I like right away and is probably his best in a long time in my opinion. What do you think his new album will be like without Zakk Wylde? I'm excited for the change... but scared too. What if Gus G stinks?

Zakk Wylde has been on every album since 1988 and it will be strange. But change is good... if its a good change.

So anyway, discuss Ozzy and your favorite songs (or Original Black Sabbath songs you like here) and you can also discuss your least favorite albums or songs... or even if you don't like Ozzy or Black Sabbath... go ahead and post why if you want. ^^

Not much to say on the subject exept, yeah love ozzy and the old black sabbath work. Can't wait till friday so i can whack on Brutal Legend and see what the ozzy character looks like :P

I'm a huge fan of Black Sabbath (everything they've ever done, not just with Ozzy), but I've never really been able to get into his solo material. The 2 first albums are great, but after that there's not much that I like. Sure there's good stuff on most of the albums, but it just seems to be outweighed by material that's positively mediocre.

Yeah I respect your opinion.

I didn't mind Heaven and hell. But I prefer Dio's solo work over what he did with Black Sabbath. Because for me Black Sabbath didn't sound like Black Sabbath. I dunno, something about that voice =D

If I had to pick favorite Ozzy albums by order it would be

Blizzard of Ozz

Diary of a Madman

No Rest For the Wicked (first album with Zakk Wylde)

No More Tears

Black Rain

Even though I like every single album... those are the ones that stood out for me... and I like Down to Earth more and more every time I hear it. Facing Hell, You know, Dreamer, Junkie and No Place for Angels are great tracks off that album.

But for Black Rain... its like all the tracks are my favorite... I can't pick any favorites off that album... its strange! I'm usually good at doing that.

Dio is my favourite singer not only in Black Sabbath, but of all time actually. He's done some decent solo albums, but his best work was definitely done with Black Sabbath and Rainbow. Holy Diver is really the only one of his solo albums which I think measures up against his albums with Sabbath and Rainbow quality-wise.

Anyway I digress. This thread was about Ozzy Osbourne. Not Ronnie James Dio

Ozzy is great. There is nothing wrong with loving ozzy at 15, especially since I did it when I was that age. I think my favorite ozzy would be Diary of a Madman.

I'm not a big fan of Ozzy's voice, I find it lacking a lot of power and emotion that I can hear in a lot of other singer's voices and I don't really like the sound of his voice in general. I think a lot of Black Sabbath songs would have sounded better with another singer, although I got to admit Paranoid and Iron Man are awesome, even with Ozzy's voice.

Also, his live-show really sucked , maybe that influences my view on the man.

Out of all the Black Sabbath singers that came after Ozzy, I always thought that Ian Gillan (also of Deep Purple fame) was the only who really did the Ozzy era material any justice.

I like Ozzy. I'm younger than you, so I don't think it's weird for you like like him. I'm not a HUGE ozzy fan though. I like most of Blizzard of Ozz, as well as Paranoid from his Black Sabbath days, but I don't know a lot of other songs from him.

I used to not like Ozzy's voice either but it grew on me and I kind of see it as unique. I used to not like Dio's voice either but it grew on me. I think the reason I like Ozzy's voice so much is nobody can really sound like him.

Also I agree, Ian Gillian is good but for me it kind of gave Black Sabbath too much of a bluesy feel. I know Black Sabbath was inspired by blues and that is good, but it was more his vocal style. He has a great voice, it just didn't fit with Black Sabbath for me.

Also, I agree, Diary of a Madman is an awesome song! I listened to it today while I was working on a math paper!
