Persona 4 is to be released across the PAL territories of Europe in March 2009 exclusively for the PS2, says Square Enix.
John Yamamoto, President of CEO and Square Enix said, "We are delighted to bring Persona 4 to European and PAL territories. With its unique blend of social stimulation, innovative gameplay and gripping story, Persona 4 is set to bring fans of a variety of genres together."
In Inaba, a small town located in the Japanese countryside there is a string of sudden and inexplicable murders. Players are part of a team of high school detectives with special powers and must try to stop the attacker before it can take another innocent life. Persona 4 forces gamers to balance a dual life; high school student by day, making friends, attending classes and taking up part-time jobs and astute detective by night investigating dungeons, combining personas, making new weapons and taking part in battles.
You must choose friends wisely and forge strong bonds in the game which is detrimental to the success of your quest. You have to poke around the crime scenes and identify the culprit. The art and music of Persona 4 finds roots in Japanese culture making the Persona world unique and chic. In addition to the game disc, the special value-added pack of Persona 4 contains a second disc comprising of the 24-track game soundtrack. The game is an optimized PAL version and will work on 50Hz television sets.
Persona 4 is expected to be released on March 13, 2009 across the PAL territories. The game is developed by Atlus but there is no information about the price as yet.
