Anime Pokemon 13th movie (do they ever stop)

Well it has been confirmed that a pokemon 13th movie. Check Serebii.net for the details. The movie features Ho-oh and Lugia according to a picture in Corocoro magazine. *sigh* I thought the 12 movie was the last one. How do you think Ash will react when he sees Ho-oh and Lugia again? Btw this is Ho-ohs first movie. Im pretty sure the beasts and birds will be in this.
 
Gosh, Another one? If they make a decent amount of money from them they may aswell make another.

And how he will react? Im hoping he gets pissed off, gets out a shotgun, and shoots Lugia and Ho-oh from the sky.
 
I'm not really surprised, the Pokemon movies, at least the recent ones have been very good so I'm presuming they are popular in Japan. They don't really seem to advertise in the west very well, or the UK at least as half the time I don't even know they made a new one until it's on one of the kids channels >.>

Ho-oh vs. Lugia sounds cool though, I'm surprised they didn't make it earlier.
 
Well Pokemon is bent on ringing out as much money as they can. Whether or not this is bad or good, it's a business. I think that the people at nintendo and game freak are trying to revamp the series to appeal to kids of today. I still remember playing pokemon red as a kid, and I think that In some ways kids of today deserve epic games like pokemon as well.

Also, I thought that Ho-oh was in a movie before, or was it just one of the really early episodes of the cartoon? Because I'm pretty sure Ash saw it flying in the sky when he started his journey.
 
Yes Episode 1 - Go Pokemon he see's it then tell oak he saw the bird in the picture in the pokecentre and hes like bs ash, this sound ok and yes UK dont get advertising for them, im pretty sure since the first movie its been DVD release without advertising lol. i thought they would have covered this ooner too
 
I lost track of all the movies but just like Mercurial, I only know of them when they're on Cartoon Network or something. I've always enjoyed the Pokemon movies but call me a big kid, I've always followed Pokemon and Digimon (I personally think that the Pokemon series should maybe stop though). I wouldn't mind another movie seeing as I love the earlier pokemons I would love to see Lugia again! I probably won't see the movie, I don't follow them anymore, there's just too many XD
 
Wow, I thought Pokemon was...well dead. I haven't seen the show or any of the movies in years. I thought that only the games were still being made. So the fact that there are 13 movies is pretty surprising to me considering I've only heard of like four of them. :confused:
 
i loled at the title. I think the movies are somewhat decent. i mean, they arent "God, shoot me in the head before the intro even finishes" (trust me, i've actually seen movies in theatres that made me think like that). You'd expect REALLY shitty reviews after the first 3 or 4 movies, but the fact that they still get funding at 13 must mean something right? Still, i wont pay to watch it and if they get decent ratings and revenue from this, i dont think they wont stop any time soon.
 
Alright but why the fuck is Lugia in another movie. In my opinion this is complete craziness. But I don't think Lugia and Ho-oh will be fighting. I think Cresselia or how about the Pixies? But the Pixies are part of Arceus's creation so I think Ho-oh and Lugia and all the rest of the legends are not a part of Arceus. I think Groudon and Kyogre were created by natural disasters and Rayquaza stopped them(hence Rayquaza has air lock) So Arceus is the creator of the dragon trio and the 3 pixies. So I think all the other pokemons were Mews before except the human created ones. Notice how Mew has transform and can learn all moves but Arceus can not? We can not believe this right away though we need proof. If a 5th generation does happen then wtf is Arceus for? What I don't get is that pokemon 12 has Arceus and 13 has Ho-oh and Lugia. Perhaps the movie will show how Ho-oh and Lugia were created? Also for sure the beasts and the birds will be in this one. I do think Mesprit will be in the movie. (Ho-oh gives good luc
 
i don't mind all of these pokemon movies, i enjoy watching them. since there's quite a few of them, im not even sure which one ive seen and which ones i haven't seen. but if i see one that it seems like i havne't seen it, ill watch. heck i still watch the series whenever i see it on, which i dont much since im hardly home in the afternoon when it seems like when they show it
 
To be honest i thought they stopped making the movies years ago didn't think there was as many as 12 i still remember the 1st one like it was yesterday =)
 
I think proper UK advertising for the films finished after the 4th movie (the one with Celebi), after that it was straight to DVD releases outside of Japan. I'm quite suprised that the films are still being made and it seems as if there is like 3-4 films for each generation since and including Gen II. I haven't kept up with them but I've recently started catching up with Pokemon episodes so will go through them all aswell before Heart Gold/Soul Silver hit UK shores. I haven't actually heard anything about this 13th movie but seeing as Heart Gold and Soul Silver are the next games I'm not suprised if Lugia and Ho-oh star in them.

Actually, now that I think about it, all the Pokemon movies have some overarching theme like that. I.e. 1st movie is about the sacrifices of war, etc.
 
Wow, I didn't even realise there were more than 4/5 hahaha. Still going eh, bless it :) I swear it's never even on TV over here anymore... except on some crappy cartoon channels.

Lugia's in the movie for the same reason the others are: Advertisement.

Pokemon is currently gearing up for the release of Heart Gold, Soul Silver. Yes, you guessed correctly, Gold and Silver remakes for the DS. Because of that, they need to start advertising Johto, as well as finishing up the legendaries from Sinnoh.

Story wise, I don't think either are actually in the movie. I think Lugia makes a brief cameo early on, at best.'

On a similar note to my above bit, the movies and anime will likely continue as long as the games do. Pokemon's like on the top 10 list of most-watched anime in Japan right now. And the games are still strong sellers.
