Problem with Bloodwing

I am lvl 80+ with all 3 of my playing characters and have beaten every other clan hunt in the game obtaining almost all secret weapons along the way but for some reason when I talk to danturos wife or whatever she says something about her patient but I am not given the option to help by collecting shells on the beach and all of that stuff. I had no problem with any other part of the game and I was wondering if anyone might be able to help out here.

i have no idea why that wont work, but if you have already sold your great serpent skin loot then i dont think that you can even get the key

you can still get the key without the great serpent's skin, you just won't get the best bonus from it (a golden amulet, which you can buy at mt. bur-omisace by the time you can finish the quest)

did you get the flower from Dantro to deliver to her? that's what sparks the quest
