The Heartless and Nobodies have somehow returned. The walls of the worlds are shattered and now the worlds are connected again. Sora has mysteriously disappeared and Kairi has been kidnapped. Chapter 1: Shattered Walls

The young silver-haired and green-eyed Riku watched Sora and Kairi get closer together under the sunset. They were both sat down on the sandy beach holding hands and talking about anything. In the meantime, Riku just sat on a palm tree wondering about all that had happened to them over the course of two years. Some parts were regretful, others he did not regret that he did.

“Something’s out there,” he said to himself. “They might not see or feel it, but I do.”

He lay back on the palm tree and tried to relax a little. A voice inside of him told him that he was just being stupid, but then again he was resentful to voices in his head telling him things. It reminded him of when Ansem controlled him and used him as a puppet against Sora when he was seduced by the power of darkness. And that was all thanks to Maleficent. She had started all of that chaos that eventually led to Xemnas being defeated once and for all.

Riku remembered being able to control the Heartless. He remembered finding Kairi after Destiny Islands was destroyed. He remembered fighting Sora. He remembered when Kingdom Hearts had closed – and he was separated from his friends, but he was still with King Mickey. He remembered being in Castle Oblivion. Unlike Sora who temporarily forgot about being in there, Riku had remembered all those events that had taken place in there. He even remembered the events that had not taken place so long ago …

“Riku,” said Sora, as Riku opened his eyes. “Are you ready to come home with us?”

“Yeah, it’s getting dark,” smiled Kairi.

Riku took a little while to answer Sora’s question. “I’ll meet you guys later,” he said to them both. “I just want to sit here a little longer and watch the ocean peacefully go in and out of the island.”

“Oh well,” shrugged Sora. “You coming, Kairi?”

“Sure, Sora,” she nodded. “We’ll see you later, Riku.”

“I’ll see you soon, Sora, Kairi,” he said, as they both left.

He sat up on the palm tree and knew that something strange was going on. He felt somewhat empty inside. It was as if there was a piece of him missing. He touched his heart and sighed to himself. What if there WAS a piece of him missing after all? He had been feeling like this ever since they had returned. And the letter sent to him, Sora and Kairi had been mysterious enough. Riku knew that this peace would not last forever.

“Must be nothing,” he muttered to himself. He jumped off the palm tree and joined Sora and Kairi to go back home.

----------------------

A man wearing an Organization cloak stood in Twilight Town on top of the clock tower. He crossed his arms and smiled in the darkness of his hood. It was unknown who this person was, but he was clearly after something or someone by coming here to Twilight Town.

“Soon,” he said. “Soon, it will all begin again. In due time, the Heartless and the Nobodies will return to cause chaos. We will rise … once more to avenge our pathetic defeat. Once the plan goes ahead, we’ll all return to get revenge.”

He sent a dark blast into the air in anger and retaliation as to whatever motive he had against whoever had made him and the others fall before. The blast hit the sky and suddenly, the solid walls appeared. These were the walls that separated the worlds. Before anyone knew it, the walls were shattered. The same thing happened to each world. Now the worlds were all connected for one more time.
