Fratley
Dragon Knight
Alexandria Castle (Two weeks before the arrival of Tantalus)

There were many rumors that swept through the streets of Alexandria. Rumors of war, legends of heroes past and present. The rumors of Beatrix, the most powerful of Alexandria's generals, was one that brought Fratley to the castle, hoping for a chance to spar with her, to test his skill. However, a new rumor was whispered among the people, a rumor of Alexandria's first target: Burmecia.

It was hearing these whispers which echoed through the peasantry that made the dragon knight take a drastic change of plans. He waited patiently in the alleyways for night to fall. He needed to know if these rumors held any truth to them, and if he had to, he would take matters into his own hands.

Scaling the castle walls was mere childsplay. They were not nearly as high as the walls in Burmecia which were used as routine training for beginner dragon knights. His powerful legs made quick work of getting the knight to the top.

Then came the hard part. He was not familiar with the castle itself, and getting caught by the guards was not an option. Cautiously, Fratley entered into the castle. His large ears were primed, listening for the sounds of footsteps, his eyes making note of any place he can use to conceal himself.

As he made his way through the hallways, his ears alerted him to the sound of someone running towards his direction. Ducking behind a suit of armor within one of the wall indentions, Fratley waited patiently for whoever it was to come by.

It seemed he was not the only 'intruder' in the castle. What ran past where he was hiding was a young female dressed in a white outfit, trimmed with red and a hood to cover the majority of her head and face. She carried nothing but a rope, and from what he could hear, she was heading out the way he came in. There were no footsteps following after her. Perhaps the girl was spooked? Who could say. She was already long gone by the time he came out of hiding.

All of this snooping was not Fratley's style, but he was skilled at it. One had to be able to catch dragons unaware to have a better chance of winning the battle.

He continued until he came to the hallway overlooking the throne room. Ducking his head down, Fratley kept himself hidden. Down below sat the queen, attended by three others: two strange clowns, one wearing blue and white while the other wore red and white, and a second woman dressed in a general's armored outfit.

"Zorn, Thorn, are you quite sure of the locations of all of the Eidolon jewels?" the overgrown queen asked. "Yes, there is no mistake!" one called out while the other, at the exact same time, said "Mistake, there is none!" The queen's fat face grew wide as she grinned. "Excellent. General Beatrix. You have three weeks to ready the troops. Once we have the gems in our possession, we'll exterminate the entire rat populace. They are quite an unsightly bunch of primitive beasts."

So, the rumors were true. As much as he desired to, he couldn't risk exposing himself. He would have to fight another day. Fratley silently slipped out of the hallway back the way he entered it. However, Beatrix's eyes caught a glimpse of movement from the reflection of a mirror.

"Excuse me your majesty. I fear we might have a rat within our midsts." Beatrix spoke as she glanced up to where Fratley was. The queen folded her fan and slapped it upon the arm rest of her throne. "Then go exterminate it! If word reaches Burmecia or Cleyra, we will lose our element of surprise!"

Fratley ran through the hallways out towards the outside of the roof where he entered. When he exited into the open space of the roof, he was greeted by the sound of metal striking stone. Beatrix stood between him and the ledge of the roof. Rain had recently began pouring just before he got to the roof landing, and thunder ripped through the sky.

Fratley poised his spear and self into a battle stance. "So it is true. Not only does your queen intend to attack my people, but mass genocide to boot! I had heard you were an honorable and powerful hero of this land, but no hero would allow such an act of genocide simply for the sake of a few trinkets!" Fratley spoke as he readied himself to strike, his eyes staring into both of Beatrix's blue eyes.

"I serve my queen, no matter what her commands are. now then, let's see the fabled strength of a dragon knight firsthand. It will be a nice warm-up for when I deal with the rest of your ilk." Beatrix said as she drew her blade, Save the Queen.

The two launched themselves at each other. Blades collided as they came within striking range of each other. Fratley jumped off towards the wall to avoid Beatrix's next swing, then sprang off of the wall towards Beatrix. Beatrix dodges and spun around, swinging her blade at his head. However, the minthril shaft of his spear intercepted her blade.

The noise of swords colliding echoed through the air. The two combatants were equal in strength, speed and skill. Only after several minutes of battle was the first blood drawn. Beatrix struck an opening in Fratley's defense, her blade slicing into his side, but this also left her open, as during her charge forward, Fratley's blade sliced into the right side of her face, cutting into her eye. Beatrix screamed in fury as Fratley moved in for the kill. However, Beatrix quickly dropped her sword and thrusted both hands forward, nailing Fratley with her Shock attack.

The shear force of it was like nothing Fratley had ever felt as the electricity ripped through him and sent him off over the stone edge of the castle rooftop and towards the river below. Fratley tried to maneuver his body to safely take the fall, but an enraged Beatrix blasted another Shock attack down at him, ensuring a painful landing into the water below.

The force of the landing and the painful sting of lightning disoriented the dragon knight. He struggled to reach the surface of the water, gasping for air as he came up around the mercantile district.

Fratley felt every cell in his body aching as blood seeped from his side as he clawed his way onto the stony embankment. Fratley struggled to his feet and began walking down the alleyway, leaning against the wall. He couldn't remember for the life of him how he ended up like this, or where he was. Questions began filling his head until finally unconsciousness took him. Fratley collapsed in front of the old church.

He began hearing voices around him, two voices.

"No way! It's him! But what the heck happened to him?"

"He looks in bad shape, kupo!"

"I know that you dumb slave! Get him inside the church, now! I'll go look for a doctor!"

Fratley could feel his body being dragged in from out of the rain by several moogle hands. He no longer felt the rain pouring down upon him, and he could feel something comfortable under him as he was laid out upon an old plush rub which sat in front of an unlit fireplace.

-------------------------------------------

Puck raced into the tavern. The small Burmecian prince hopped up onto one of the tables before he started waving his arms about. "Hey! Anyone know where there's a doctor? My friend's in a world of hurt!" he yelled, trying to get the attention of the entire bar.

((Puck can be controlled by anyone at this time.))

[OOC: Nice intro post! Quite an entertaining read. Though, I'm curious. This is fiction right? I don't recall Beatrix having lost her eye in a battle against Fratley... Though I'll need to replay the game to confirm that myself... And since you said we could control Puck at this point in time, I take it that he can lead me to Fratley...?]

Venus

Shouting once again echoed through the tavern, and though already a perennial occurrence, Venus couldn't stifle the irritation that soared to prominence in her mind. The female warrior glanced balefully over to the source, and, on realizing it was merely a small, Burmecian rat, she dismissed her irritation, focusing on her beer. She had just returned from a mercenary mission, and wanted nothing more than a break from her work.

... And certainly not some rat tugging at the sashes of her vest.

Immediately putting on an obviously fake assuaging smile, she turned to the rat. Her smile became a disturbingly fake Cheshire Cat grin, before she began speaking."Why, hello, Burmecian... Oh please, tell me, what may I do for you," She responded, with much asperity that should be clear to anyone how displeased she was for her drink to be interrupted.

"If it's a job you intend to hire me for, it's one you can apprise me about LATER!"

Venus turned back to her drink, taking one gulp of it furiously.

"Oh come on! All you have to do is tell me where there's a doctor!"

"Doctor? Hm... Maybe First Aid?"

"That's fine too! Anything! Tell me!"

Venus almost slapped herself. In the end, she couldn't bite down her conscience enough to completely ignore the young Burmecian. But to not ignore the Burmecian came at her own expense, since the suggestion was only said with reference to her own abilities.

She started an internal debate with herself, while the young Burmecian looked on, clearly impatient. He was about to rush off when Venus finally succumbed to his pleas.

"Okay. Take me to your friend."

Luca Dhamon
Synthesist
Alexandria Proper
=============

Ah, Alexandria.

Luca much preferred the quiet placidity of the Queen's seat over the hustle and bustle of the metropolis that was Lindblum. Well, truth be told, he preferred the quietness of his new shop in Treno over both of the larger cities, despite the City of Night's less than stellar reputation as a hotbed of criminal activity. But Alexandria was a beautiful city in its own right, and Luca was happy to have a reason to make his second foray there.

It was a business trip, mostly. He was to discuss an order with a minor nobleman from Treno who was in Alexandria on vacation. Since he was the noble, and Luca was the commoner, it fell on Luca to make the trek. Otherwise the noble would simply find another Synthesist with which to do business. So Luca had packed up his traveling kit, thrown on his trusty leathers, and beat feet down the road to Alexandria.

But all that was to be later in the evening. So Luca decided to pay a visit to one of his closest friends, and his advisor: Doctor Tot, the Royal Tutor to Princess Garnet. The good doctor was instrumental in helping Luca set up (and afford) his own shop in Treno, and as such, Luca visited Tot quite often, whether it be here in Alexandria or in the Doctor's observatory in Treno. It didn't hurt that the shop below Tot's tower often brought Luca a bit of business from time to time.

They had decided to take a late lunch in a small tavern tucked into a broad alleyway off the central plaza in Alexandria. The doctor had mentioned that it was one of his favorite places to dine, and praised the roasted hedgehog pie and gysahl pickle sandwiches. Luca was skeptical. But the food was surprisingly passable (Luca ordered a large garden salad, just to be safe), and the two friends spent the afternoon in amiable conversation, until a small Burmecian burst into the pub.

"Hey! Anyone know where there's a doctor? My friend's in a world of hurt!"

Luca glanced expectantly back at Tot, but the doctor simply stared at the Burmecian through his spectacles, his hand going to his cheek in a familiar gesture. Luca turned back to the Burmecian, who was now engaged in frantic conversation with a young woman. The Burmecian must have been convincing enough to the woman, because she appeared to be ready to follow him out the door.

Luca turned back once more to Tot, a question forming on his countenance. "Why didn't you volunteer to help the kid?"

Without so much as a glance at Luca, Tot replied in a monotone. "Because I know who he is."

"Oh? Who is he, then?"

Tot looked up, smiled, and gave Luca a broad wink. "A common street urchin, nothing more. Shall we order dessert?"

Luca sat back in his chair, crossed his arms slowly over his chest, and set his gaze intently on Doctor Tot.

"Would you like a custard? Perhaps some honeymint tea? I hear the scones are wonderful here, though I've never had the pleasure of trying one myself." Tot waited a few moments for a reply that would never come, then sighed heavily. "You're not going to let this go, are you?"

Luca gave not even the slightest hint of a reaction.

Tot stood up from the table, reached for his coin purse, and left enough gil to cover the tab, plus a generous few extra. "Very well. But remember," Tot fixed a stern gaze at Luca. "I tried to keep you out of this."

Luca raised himself up, and turned to locate the Burmecian and the young woman, aiming to follow them to the small one's injured friend.

OOC : Nice intro indeed! :)

Nameless
Black Mage
Lindblum

A human being wakes up slowly, he feels dizzy at first and remains sleepy for some time. Often it's a rather painful and forceful procedure to get up. But it isn't the same for a black mage. Which makes many wonder if Black Mages are human beings or not. In the end of their usually dreamless nights, they see a spark and within a second, a little energizing shock will rush through their body. After that, the wizard's eyes will pop open, want it or not. There's no sleepiness or dizziness, nothing.

The nameless black figure opened his eyes and looked around, still wearing his robe, shoes and his hat. A bizarre feeling in his knee that he had grown used to, made him grab it just for a second. Back then, pain as pain wasn't known to the newborn lad.

'' I see you are still into your habit of sleeping with clothes!'' What was this weird sound he had been hearing for quite a few days by now, he wondered in his own way. Speech, as the others called it. But he, he didn't know how to speak. Neither did he understand the language fully. Although, it was true that his ''father's'' teachings allowed him to understand simple words like hello, help or anything of that kind. Another thing the young mage had learned was nodding friendly to any kind of comments.

'' Today I got a task for you. Do you know what's a task?'' Asked the very same voice from before. And now, an old dragoon appeared. He was in his late fifties, hair gone gray, face covered with wrinkles. The dragon knight was taller than most of their kind and he was wrapped in royalty clothes. The Burcmerian looked at the black mage for an answer. Obviously, it was a head shake, which meant no.

'' Well, a task is when I order you to do something that usually helps someone. One might call it a mission or even more glorious name for it is a quest. Understood?'' The young being wanted to understand, but of course, some things remained mystery to him.

'' Anyway, always accept a quest or a mission, if it's for good.'' Told the old figure and a friendly smile formed on his face. It seemed as the young black mage had listened to him and from now on probably accepted every quest or mission, only if it was for good tho.

'' Now where was I? Ah yeah, your task [ ...]

Many hours had passed by and our nameless hero was walking down a street, doing something for someone. Why and how, he didn't know. But the only thing he did know was that he was supposed to get a bulky loaf of something others called bread. He had a bag of coins in his hands which he had to give to anyone with bread. A bit too many coins to be honest, but it seemed as the old dragoon didn't think much of money. Unfortunately for the young lad, the bag of coins in his grip drew attention of thieves. And it didn't take long till he, the nameless, was surrounded by a bunch of men with knives, machetes and other kind of weapons. Their speech was too drunken for the black mage to be understood, therefore he didn't know what was happening. Soon, one of the men took his bag of coins. Nameless looked at him and smiled, putting his hands forwards to get a loaf of bread as a return. But instead someone hit him on his head, making him fall unconscious.

OOC: apologies if it's poor, trying to get back in practice still :wacky:

Kirk
Black Knight
Treno, Dr Tot's house

Leaving the corpses of his family to fill the Treno river, Kirk then decided to leave the town. The only people were Nobility and Lowlifes and he wasn't Nobility anymore...

Having no Gate Pass, the normal way was out of the question leaving him stranded. Wandering around he found himself at a tower, as he walked towards the door he found it locked and with barely a degree of effort he managed to knock it off it's hinges with a swift kick.

Walking up the stairs he could hear the frightful squeaks of a little voice above him, continuing to walk with increased speed. Once he reached the top he saw tiny feet quickly scurrying inside a broken sphere, presumably a globe of the planet...

"W-W-What do you want?" the man squeaked out, which was quickly silenced as Kirk unsheathed his sword "I am here to ask if you know of a... Different way out of Treno, i'm sure you know that lying isn't an option..."

The little man, keeping himself hidden, showing only his sillhouette through the sphere, replied "U-U-U-Up the ladder... Now please, leave me alone!" sparing the little man's life he sheathed his sword and climbed the ladder and then climbed down a tunnel into some kind of ruined structure. Before he could shout to the little man his exit was sealed.

"Oh well... Guess i'll just have to fight my way out... I like it"

Fratley
Dragon Knight
Abandoned Church, Alexandria

Fratley's clothes were still wet from the rain, though drier now since the fireplace was lit by the Moogles. The dragon knight was starting to regain consciousness, and the bleeding from his side was starting to subside. His body and clothes bore electrical burns, which seemed to have many points of impact on his body.

Puck led those who followed him into the church. There were a few Moogles scurrying about, boiling some water over the fireplace whiles some others were bringing in some broken old boards to burn.

Doctor Tot walked over and began examining the Burmecian knight. "This gash in his side is cleanly cut. My chief concern are these electrical burns." he spoke before placing his stethoscope over Fratley's heart. "His heart beat is slow, but at least there's no abnormalities in it. Still, your friend here looks like he bit off more than he could chew. These kinds of injuries were most likely caused by an attacker, not a random bolt of lightning." Tot said before he reached into his bag and took out a smelling salt capsule. He broke it and wafted it under Fratley's nose.

Fratley sneezed and coughed a bit before he regained consciousness. His eyes opened and saw several strange faces around him. "Easy there lad. Can you tell us what happened?" Tot asked. Fratley tried to sit himself up, but his body was still weak and stinging from his near death experience. He tried as best as he could to recall the events.

"The only thing I can remember was being underwater and in a lot of pain. I found myself walking down a stone path before everything went black." Fratley spoke. The doctor shook his head a bit.

"Can you tell me your name?" Tot asked. Puck headed over to the doctor. "Oh, I can tel you that. This is..."

"Something I want him to answer." Tot interrupted the young Burmecian prince. "Now then, can you tell me your name?" Tot asked again, looking at Fratley.

Fratley tried as best he could, but only one thing came to mind. "Dragon knight." he spoke.

"Well of course you're a dragon knight, but that's an occupation. You cannot remember your name?" Tot asked. Fratley strained to try and think, but nothing came to mind. "No. It seems I cannot." Fratley replied.

Puck felt and seemed more distraught. He looked Fratley in the eyes before speaking. "Com'on, you at least remember me, right?" Puck asked. Once more, Fratley tried to recall the face, but once again, nothing came to mind. "I'm sorry, but this is the first time I've met you, I believe." Fratley replied.

Puck fell onto his butt in shock. Tot stood up. "It seems this is a rather deep rooted amnesia, and from the looks of it, these electrical burns on his body clear up the picture. Regardless whether the lightning that hit him was natural or magical in nature, it's fried his memory. Think of it as an almost clean slate. His wounds will need tending, physically he should be fine with some treatment and rest. Whether or not the memory loss is temporary or permanent, I cannot say for certain." Tot explained.

"However, I do have one suggestion, if you are willing. I'm staying in town to celebrate Princess Garnet's birthday and see the play 'I Want to be Your Canary'. Afterwards I will need an escort to my lab in Treno. Burmecia is not too far from there. Perhaps a visit to Burmecia might help bring back some memories." Tot suggested to Fratley.

"So you can't remember anyone, huh? Anyone at all? This is gonna get tricky." Puck spoke, tapping his foot on the ground.

Fratley gave a nod to Tot as he remained laying down. Tot looked over to Puck. "Well then, why don't you tell him who he is, little one. He is your friend, after all." Tot suggested.

Puck gave a nod to Tot's words. "If you can't remember, then I'm going to have to remind you, even if you believe there is nothing to remember. You're Sir Fratley, the Iron Tail. One of the two greatest Dragon Knights in all of Burmecia. You left on a quest two years ago to become stronger because Alexandria and Lindbum's military might was increasing greatly. And I hope your memory gets better by the time we reach Burmecia. And by the way, since you can't remember me, I am Puck, prince of Burmecia. But you can just call me Lord Puck." the little Burmecian prince.

Tot's expression changed a bit. "Why are you here then? Your father must be worried sick." Tot spoke as he looked at Puck. Puck merely thumbed over at Fratley.

"I left to find him. He was missing for two years and there were rumors that he had died. His friend left to find him, and I left soon after to help her, though I went in a different direction. not to mention I hated being all cooped up in that castle. I wanted to see the world, and quite frankly I'm glad I did." Puck replied proudly.

Tot shook his head a bit. "Well then, until I'm ready to head to Treno, I suggest that you remain with Fratley here. While I've had an odd suspicion on things going on around Alexandria, I believe things might get a bit dicey here to say the least." Tot replied before he looked to Venus. "I believe you had offered this lad some assistance? If so, I could use some help in tending to this knight's wounds."

Venus had, for the most part, been simply standing by, sort of eavesdropping on the conversation between the injured Dragon Knight, the young Burmecian, and the Doctor. She looked to whoever spoke, and was so immersed in their conversations that when Doctor Tot referred to her, she jolted with a start and hurriedly stepped forward to the Dragon Knight.

"Ah, yes, uh," She mumbled, clumsily producing a small roll of bandages and some potions.

"It might sting a little, but just bear with it. You're a Dragon Knight after all? This shouldn't be a problem."

Taking one deep breath, she quickly poured the potion on the Dragon Knight's wounds. Watching the potion seep in magically into his wounds, she quickly continued to start tying bandages around his body. By the time she was done, Fratley looked pretty much like a mummy with his mummification half-done. That, and also the fact that not all the bandaging was actually done perfectly.

"That's the best I can manage," She remarked sheepishly. "But you should recover well enough from that."

Artis Hawkins
Warrior
Alexandria

"Excuse me. I would like to-"

Before he could finish speaking, Artis was interrupted by a rather large looking fellow. He appeared to not care that someone else was speaking, as he came strolling in. "Hey, lemme on that boat, missy." Without even waiting for an answer, the man walked onto the boat, and the boat started to leave.

"Well, so much for that idea. Looks like I won't be going to the castle after all. I gotta find something else to do, though."

As he started to leave, he thought about how things were in Treno, then shifted his mind back to the present. He needed to do something, so he went to the city gates, where he saw another cargo ship sitting outside unloading. He approached the ship, and offered his services, which they gladly accepted. As he unloaded the last item from the ship, he could hear the ship going through the preparations for takeoff. Quickly, he hopped on before it left, and decided that he would go wherever it took him, and resume his travels from there.

OOC: Apologies for the short post. Still trying to get back into the flow of things.

Alexandra Deville
Rogue
Alexandria, Kingdom of Alexandria, Mist Continent
January 15, 1800 (According to the FFIX Ultimania Guide)

Alexandra looked out into the busy streets of Alexandria from her inn room. She came at a time where everyone is busy getting ready for a play that was going to be performed as a birthday gift for the Princess Garnet, the Heir to the Throne. But she didn't care about that. Rather, she wanted to see the play because it was going to be performed by her friends, the Tantalus Theater Troupe.

She saved up enough money for multiple stays in the inn and genuine tickets to see the play, someone tried to sell her a fake ticket, and to some people, let's just say that he won't be selling anything else again.

Putting on her gear, Alexandra decided she may as well do some roof hopping, wait around a bit till it's time for the play. Her twin daggers sheathed, Alexandra walked out onto the balcony and jumped up, reaching her hand out and catching the rooftop. Lifting herself up and getting onto the roof, she found the best set of open space on the continent, essentially all to herself.

======================

Luca had stood back from the small group, observing and absorbing information as Doctor Tot, and subsequently the young woman administered aid to the injured Burmecian. The others all seemed to have the situation more or less under control, so Luca saw to reason to step in. Besides, he was not a healer by trade. He would probably be more hindrance than help.

He was surprised to learn from the small Burmecian that his injured countryman was none other than the Iron Tail himself, Sir Fratley. He had heard of the prowess of this particular Dragon Knight, and the rumors that he had left Burmecia to increase his skill. But to see him in person was another thing entirely. And to see him injured from, as Doctor Tot said, an attack? Why would a Burmecian be attacked within Alexandria? And what Alexandrian would be strong enough to damn near kill arguably the greatest Dragon Knight in all of Burmecia? The implications were unsettling.

But all that was beyond Luca at the current time. Right now, he was more concerned about the Dragon Knight. Inconspicuous, he was not. "Excuse me, Sir Fratley? If you do decide to stay in Alexandria for that long, what exactly do you intend on doing? You don't exactly... blend in, you know?"

Kirk
Dark Knight
Gargan Roo

Walking through his new location, Kirk tried to discover a way out. Along the sides were seemingly endless tunnels with a branchlike object above it, in the distance he could hear the sound of some kind of creature, a monster perhaps? Or maybe a mechanism for navigating this place? Spotting a lever near him he pulled it, hearing a strange click he continued to investigate, there had to be a way to escape...

Before he could think on that however, a monster appeared. It was long and tube-like, almost like a giant leech, it's appearance didn't matter though as it would be dead soon. Unsheathing his sword he held it behind him as he charged the creature, it wasn't terribly fast thanks to it's large bulk leaving only it's claws as weapons, or at least he thought... As he was about to cut it in two, he saw something charging from it's mouth and barely dodge rolled to the left to avoid it. What erupted seemed to be... It's insides, the size and shape perfectly matched it's entire body.

"well freak, not enough room for two, y'know?" with that he leapt forward, stabbing the monster through it's head while it's insides were still out of it's mouth. As the monster vanished as it died Kirk sheathed his sword and continued on. Up ahead he found a lever, pulling it down he heard the creature from the distance approach, at the speed it was going it was unlikely to stop, timing his jump he leapt onto the carriage hanging below it as he watched to see where he would be transported to.

After what felt like hours he arrived in another similar station, hopefully he hadn't just gone in circles. Heading forward he found himself in some kind of fortress, walking inside he was about to climb the staircase when a wall rose up in front of him, sensing a trap he ran for the way he came only to be trapped like a rat by another wall. Appearing from the shadows two court jesters appeared "You fell for it!" one called out, followed by the other "Fell for it, you did!"

Fratley
Dragon Knight
Abandoned Church, Alexandria

Fratley thought a bit on the question. "Two weeks before the play. I will have to use this time to recover and train myself. If I was indeed attacked as the good doctor has theorized, I will need to be at my best, should the attacker or group emerge once more. Other than that, I will attempt to regain my memories, if at all possible, though for me it is as though life began while gasping for air when I emerged from that river. Other than being called a Dragon Knight, nothing else comes to mind."

Fratley then turned his head to look at young prince Puck. "I will need you to tell me of all that transpired in times past. Perhaps your tales may coax out something from my memories." the dragon knight suggested.

Puck sat himself down beside Fratley, worry filling his face. "I'll tell ya what I can, but somethings I need for you to remember on your own. There are a few very important things that, regardless how many times I tell them, they'll mean nothing if you can't pluck it out of your brain." Puck replied.

Alexandra Deville
Rogue
Alexandria-Rooftops:

Alexandra sped through the rooftops, jumping from building to building. It's times like these that she actually enjoyed her freedom, even in a confined space like Alexandria. It reminded her all too much about Lindblum, the confined spaces and hundreds of people. Besides, running around rooftops, much to the shock and ire of many who witness it, would be good exercise.

Alexandria hopped from building to building, keeping a steady pace. She wanted to jump down on to the water fountain, but she did not want to bring any attention to herself until after the play was over. Instead she went around, coming around an old abandoned church.

Jumping onto it's roof, she couldn't help but overhear some people talking from within. "Now who could be inside a run-down Church, I wonder..." Alexandra thought as she climbed into the bell tower. She climbed down on the rope, trying to avoid alerting the people within the church. She slowly climbed down, trying her very best to not move the bell all too much. Alexandra landed on one of the scaffoldings, finally letting go of the rope, and letting the bell ring. She quickly moved into the shadows, looking closely at the situation.

"A Burmecian Dragon Knight...but what is he doing in the middle of Alexandria? Alexandra wondered, he was bandaged up, which meant that he was wounded in battle recently. Alexandra laid on the scaffold, her upper body leaning on a support beam leading to the ceiling. Here she watched and waited.

A bright light appeared and once again, for the 8th time in his memory, he woke up. It was pitch black, humid and moist yet quite cold if not freezing. But he, the nameless youngster, hadn't learned much about feelings nor pleasure, therefore it didn't feel uncomfortable. Although, it was rather confusing. Had he collapsed due to exhaustion or because of something else? And where was the loaf of bread he was sent for? After all, he had given the coins to the man. Or to be honest, the coins were taken from him. But the youngster didn't know the difference in giving or getting robbed. It was amazing how hard it was for the black mage to understand the basics of life. Sad in a way, but still amazing. Slowly he stood up, letting his bright yellow glowing eyes run around wild in the room he was in. But what room was it?

'' Hey ya there ... first time in the royal prison?'' It was a voice, human voice. The direction of it was hard to guess, but after a while the little one figured it out. His eyes landed on a rather different figure, one with four arms.

'' Phh ... don't find it necessary to answer? Fine with me little one ... just so you know, you dealing with the one and only Alleway Jack here.'' The voice was deep and rough, reminding an old school pirate. The man was leaning against the wall and looking around the dark prison room. But not for long as the little mage had walked towards the man and raised his hand for a shake. Something he had learned from the old Burcmerian.

'' Ahh ... you're a weird one, Mr. Pointy Hat!'' Barked the legendary Jack while handing out one of his four arms and shaking it with the black mage.

'' Mi..mi..mister .... poin .... popopointy hat?'' Mumbled Mr. Pointy Hat with unclear articulation while pointing at Alleway Jack.

'' Nah ya stupid, you are mr. pointy hat ... Now leave meh alone, I got an escape to plan.''

Kirk
Dark Knight
Alexandria Dungeon

As the Blue and Red jesters tried to approach him, Kirk gave them a clear threat as he half removed his sword. As they jumped back he heard footsteps from behind them followed by the jesters' laughing "Very scary, it is, when the general gets mad!"

Looking up the stairs, Kirk saw a woman walking down, wearing armour and holding a sheathed sword across her waist "a general, eh? Well this could be my lucky day!" fully unsheathing his sword the jesters bounced away as the General approached him, hand on sword "don't draw your sword unless you intend to die upon it!" Not taking any heed to her warning Kirk kept his sword ready as the General, with great speed lunged forward, pulling out her sword which Kirk barely managed to block in time "I can see already... You're going to be tons of fun!

Kirk forced the General back and charged forward himself, clashing with her blade as he continued to force her up the spiral staircase, as he began thinking the battle was a waste of his time her blade began to spark with electricity, repelling his strikes effortlessly. As their battle ascended the staircase they eventually found themselves in the royal chambers Beatrix shone an electric light at him, blasting him out of the room and knocking him over the balcony outside. As Kirk was about to charge back up the General stood above him, sword pointed at him "If I ever see you again, you will die... Never set foot in this Kingdom again!"

With that said she send another electric light at him, forcing him into the river below. While his body didn't take much damage he had grown somewhat tired but also felt a strong sense of pleasure, an opponent who could match him, probably even beat him if the situation allowed, such an opponent gave him a strong sense of satisfaction. Reaching the small fishing area outside a ruined church, Kirk surfaced, squeezing out the excess water and adjusting his hat as he began to walk past the church, as he looked through the corner of his eye he saw several warriors within, wondering what was going on he hid himself from view and listened in on what was being said.

Stephen Hownam
The Dragon Slayer
just Outside Lindblum

Two Carve Spiders stood next to each other, unsheathing his his bladed lance, a smirk crept onto the face of Stephen "is this all the monsters this plateau can muster up" his his voice rang out, the bladed lance extending Extending completely , his right hand igniting before he launched a fireball at one of the Carve Spider knocking it back.

Stephen then turned his attention to the spider infront of him, spinning the bladed lance around, almost artistically before swinging it in a horizontal arch cutting the spiders front two legs off before spinning the bladed lance around again and plunging it into the spiders skull, as he spun around he was webbed by the spider pinning his right arm to the floor "damnit" he muttered before his arm burst into flames incinerating the webbing, Stephen then charged forward and grabbed the Second spiders head, his arm then began burning hotter and brighter, killing the spider.

Stephen's arm then extinguished and he strode back over to His bladed lance and pulled it out of the withered corpse of the spider and looked towards the large city "the festival of the hunt tournament is in a couple of weeks, i must prepare harder, but first a drink" Stephen announced to himself as he headed towards the city, his bladed lance returned to it's smallest length and he slid it into it's sheath that was on his left shoulder blade
