Setzer's Tent
A large grassy plain. Off in the distance, you can see a forest in front, and a large housing complex behind the fighter. He prefers to fight in the shade of night, so that he doesn't overheat in his armor. There is a road that leads from the forest to the complex, and traffic frequents that road, causing occassional obstacles during the fight

Feet crunching on dry grass, Avril looked up at the night sky, eyes glimmering in the moonlight. The chill of night had settled in, and now Avril was all alone in the gloom of late night, faintly lit by the pale glow of the moon.

Or was she?

Avril had always had a keen sense for life besides her own, and right now, she could detect it. She wasn't sure where, or even what it was, but she knew it was there. Her hand touched the hilt of her weapon, Delano, in its rapier form, sheathed at her belt. It was quite well disguised by her clothes, so she didn't want to withdraw it until she had to. She had to have the element of surprise on her side.

Deliberately tensing her back and shoulders to show she knew that her opponent was nearby, she waited for him or her to emerge and confront her. It was time for another battle. Weapon. Check. Magic. Check.

Bloodlust. Check.

Alexander had seen another person appear after his last fight, but he had needed to regroup, so he didn't engage right away. He was still in a little bit of shock after seeing that light emit from his last opponent. Still, he needed to clear his head if he wanted to have a chance to win this next fight.

He walked out from the forest, and felt as ready as he was going to be for this fight. He approached this woman slowly, watching for anything quick that might catch him off gaurd.

So, he was approaching her, was he? Well, that immediately made her want to start this battle with a magical assault, and then immediately shift to a physical assault. Eyes closed and focus centered firmly on her own power, she turned so that she was neither facing this man, nor turning her back to him.

Tapping into a golden strand of energy deep inside her psyche, she felt the small energy drain, which left her feeling dizzy for a brief moment. Her vision blurred as the energy ran down her arms in a pair of thick, glittering veins, before reaching her palms and fusing into a single white sphere which hovered inches above Avril's hand.

The sphere was already beginning to morph into another shape as Avril closed her hands over the object. Particles of white light surged through the air as she seemed to crush the shining ball, and she was holding a single golden dagger, formed of light.

In as fast a movement as she good muster, she hurled the dagger in a straight line through the air, aiming for her new opponent's midriff. She turned her face towards the man even as her magic-forged weapon left her hand, her fair hair flying back in the wind the movement generated as she stared, stony eyed, at her opponent.
