okay i once read that after you get the key to the sector 7 in midgar(found in bone village) if you go back to the church that there was a ghost of Aeris there... i have'nt had time to look really but what about you guys?
 
I think there are some arguments that it's a glitch, but yeah, I've seen Aerith's "ghost".
 
Yes I remember seeing Aerith's "ghost" later on. I don't remember the details...but I think she was watering the flowers with two children, I think...unless I'm mistaken. (That was over seven years ago, you see).
 
I do recall seeing something myself, but it was just a quick flicker of a 'ghost' tending to the flowers then it was gone, can't really remember much myself
 
That's all it is, you see Aerith watering the flowers, and when you approach her, she vanishes.

It's been the basis of many "revive Aerith" rumours ><
 
Yeah, I've heard it was some short of glitch. It really surprised me when I first saw it! Made my heart ache a little, too. :sad2: I had Cloud run down the aisle and she disappeared. Ugh. I love Aerith too much. XD
 
Yea you see Aerith's "Ghost" but she vanishes when you approach her, I was like "WTF?" and ah maybe there's something I have to do here and I spent over 15 minutes running around and checking things, and then I thought maybe there's nothing after all. -__-

Same here, same here.

But then my hope of her revival disappered as quickly as it came.

I also hoped there was some rare and amazing materia around there.

I kept coming back to the church after that. -__-
 
yea u can see her ghost water the flowers in disk 3 but it's not really interesting

That made me lol :monster:

I wonder why it was a glitch though, I just assumed it was Clouds memory or seeing her spirit or....something, it never crossed my mind that it was a glitch. That kinda ruins it :gasp:
 
I personally don't think it's a glitch - I don't really see how that kind of glitch would occur. Besides, in AC, the fact that the children had a connection to Aeris was related to her vestigial spirit left in the church; so either her ghost was intentional, or the designers decided to creatively capitalize on a glitch.
 
Yup you can see her at the end of disk three at the church but only for a few seconds then she disappears. =/ (It's a glitch.)Made me think there was hope to revive her. T_T I hope if they remake it though they try doing that again even though it was a glitch I mean that would be kinda cool.
 
Aeris's ghost is not a glitch, it was programmed in the game, you can tell because if you talk to the kids where she dissapears at they say "where'd flower lady go,"
 
that could also be because she got taken away from the church by the turks and that the childran are looking for her

I don't think its a glitch, I've seen it and yeah it looks like a glitch but I never even thought of it like that before.

I heard a rumor about being able to revive Aerith but I read a statement from Square that it was false, I kinda felt disappionted but now I think what's the point she isn't that useful anyway in terms of battle.
 
I've only heard bits and pieces of this rumor but I've never gone back and acted on trying to find out if it was true or not. i've heard people whom I know say they tried it on the PS1 version of the game and it hasn't worked, while PC users have gotten it. I played the console version on the PS1, but like I said, I haven't been back to the church since...beginning of the game?
 
Aparently you can find the white materia in the church aswell, although I never found it

You can get back into Midgar near the end of the game by finding the key in Bone Village,then you can enter the way you left Midgar after saving Aerith. although I don't think you can do much while you're there other than go in the church.

And finding the white Materia? It was lost in the forgotten city so I don't think you can find it in the church in the slums.
