What is the point in having diagonal buttons when they are nigh on impossible to get right. If I see incorrect blitz command one more time I think I will scream.

Does anyone else have trouble with these or is it just me >_<

No, I found it easier to roll your thumb around the directional buttons. Just keep your thumb on the pads and when you press the diagonals, don't lift your thumb, roll it over as you go. I hope I explained that good enough for you.

Well whaddaya know, it worked first time trying that :wacky:

Stupid commands, Im sure there will be more to test my patience soon -_-

I remember first trying out those damn diagonal commands, it drove me insane :gasp:, but with a little experimentation I came across that fail-proof system and I never failed a blitz-command since :neomon:

I'd never struggled either. Pressing the two directions at once with your thumb never really seemed like much of a challenge. :wacky:

You'll LOVE Bum's Rush of you struggle with the others.

I think the only time they were difficult was in the PSX version because of those wakky D-Pads the PSX controllers had. If you were playing that version of FFVI, then I could sympathize...maybe...

It is mighty difficult on those D-pads. I was such a n00b, I couldn't get the diagional ones to work. Then I did what WR was doing and it's easy.

Aye Im playing it on my PS2, Im still missing afew times but at least Im not failing as miserably as I did lol

I can't wait to complete this game, I will never look at it again. I hate it -__-

Actually when you need to press a diagonal button, just press either button that would be beside it and it will still work.

I.E. If your required to press upright, just press either up or right. If your required to press downleft, just press down or left. Simple.:neomon:

Blitz

I'm playing the PS1 version of FFVI, as part of the anthology pack. and whenever i try to do sabin's blitzes that include a diagonal direction as part of the input, it doesn't register. anyone else have this problem? or know how i can put in diagonal directions? i really want to be able to use bum rush.

tried the two thumbs thing. didn't really work.

i'm gonna try the roll around the d-pad thing. and someone posted on a different forum that you can press either left or down and it will count as a left-down-diagonal. i'm gonna try that too.

Everyones advice is piss poor. THIS is the way to do it! :P :wacky:

Basicly all you have to do when it's a diagonal is press either one of the two directional buttons. It doesn't matter which one. For example if it requires down-left, all you need to do is press either down or left NOT both together.

Hope this helps. It took me years to finaly find out how to do them meaning quite a few playthroughs of being deprives some pretty niffty Blitz's.

i don't get the problem with Anthalogy, as i have a turbo controller with the diagonal buttons. makes my life easy and allows to me say I WIN

Hahah yeah I had the same problem, those Blitz commands were shit.:mad2:
I could never enter the harder ones that use diagonal buttons. After awhile I thought it would be hopeless to enter them. Aah screw it.

:eek:uttahere:

I never had trouble with them, but then again...I used to play Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat a lot. I am playing VI on an emulator now (my SNES died and the Anthology version is unbearable) and I have to do the Blitz commands with the keyboard arrows, they come up fine.

just curious, why do you think the anthology version is unbearable? is there something wrong with it?

Yeah, for the PSX ports they pretty much just slapped the ROM onto a disk, which, go figure, doesn't work out so great. I think the GBA ports were them trying to kiss & make up for that foible and now the DS remakes (except CT DS is CT catching up to the GBA ones it seems) are them taking us in the back room for a real nostalgic tumble between the sheets...I went too far, didn't I? >_>
