A gruff man looks out onto the port city of Hatties. It was like any typical town in San Salvacion. The usual houses, bars, banks. The same old prisons and watertowers and General Stores.

The only difference was the flag, which fluttered over many of the town's major buildings, the flag of an imperialist power who deals in death and extortion to survive.

Spurring his horse, Eddie moved down into the town, seeking any one who has the same sentiments as he, to begin a revolution against the Imperialist dogs. This is where his story will begin.

One cup, but 2 bottles of wine. That was Raine's recipe for a party. She was at the local saloon, filled with drunks and slander. Some guys thinking they're tough, picking fights with tougher men and getting their asses black and blue. It was time to blow this joint and find a better place. So Raine walked out with her bottle of wine in hand. Taking large swigs at a time, she walked out into the city. She had money and a bit of a buzz, so it was time for some real fun. She walked along the dirt path they called a road and headed for some new place to party.

She spotted a nice little place, but didn't even bother to examine the outsides. She walks in and pulls out one of her golden revolvers and raises it in the air. Everybody shut up the instant they heard the shot of a powerful gun and looked at her. "ALRIGHT LISTEN UP!" She spoke kind of wobbly with her wine bottle in her hand. It was half full, as she drank most of it. Taking a swig, she brought the bottle down to continue what she was saying. "I just got back from a job and I'm lookin for some fun, so lets fire this place up!" Everyone seemed to agree with her. She stood up on a table and began to do some dancing. People started to crowd around her as she quickly became the center off attention. Still holding her wine, she accidentally began to pour it on her clothes, but she ignored it and kept dancing. Looking into the crowd, she tried to spot a good looker in it, and she saw a man in the back of the room at the bar drinking some strong alcohol.

She stepped off the table and walked up to him. "What are you drinking?"

"I dun e'en know. I tol' 'im tah gimme th' sterngest sh't he got."

"I'll take two" She said to the bar tender.

"Yer buyin' me anoder un?"

"No" The bar tender gave her two cups of whatever it was she was drinking and she took them both. "These are for me!" She said with laughter in her voice. Quickly downing the first one, the man looked at her in awe. She had a tolerance stronger than him! Then she slammed the second one. "Whoo that's good stuff. I'll just get to the point, you married?"

"Nah, I go---"

She cut him off, "You completely single?"

"Yah."

"Take me to your place then, you won't regret it." This man got pretty excited at that, he quickly stood up and to show her to his home...

OOC: If it's wrong I'll edit, just sticking to character :hmmm:

The stench of mould and dampness pervaded her nose. The crowd of poorer folks meandered about the dirty streets of Hatties. Amuro stood out with her white clothes and large rifle strapped to her back. Her entire being screamed mercenary and although her attire was much more extravagant and fancy than the usual crowd, Amuro fitted into them.

Amuro was combing her usual information joints. Her men needed work. With the imperialists taking over, work has been scarce if its not for the Imperialist army. Shiva's Retinue prides itself on its nationality and patriotism and would not stoop to helping its enemies. Slowly and naturally, Amuro drifted leftwards on the main street before stepping into a small side alley. It was dark and dim, with the buildings on both sides towreing over the small path and blocking all sunlight bar. Down and out men and women lay slumped on the floor and dirty faced children ran around, oblivious to the troubles their parents are in. Weary and wary eyes glance at her as she walked before recognising her and returning to their slumping. Amuro stopped in front of one of these many cloaked beggars. She flicked a silver coin into his bowl and leaned against the wall next to him.

Y'hear anything? I need work, or i'll be joining you guys here with my men.

Heh...Don't we all? If i did, would i be here? But seriously, i have caught wind of some rumours. Nothing substantial, or even solid. Only a wisp of people loose lipping and possibly drunk slurring. I heard that there are revolutionaries gatheriing in this town. May be a path of work for ya...if its true. Hunt them down yourself though. Now pay up my white angel.

The man flasahed her a toothy grin, a surprising sight for a bum. Amuro let a slight laugh out before flicking another silver into his lap.

Thanks. Thats better than looking for lost cats.

With a hint that there might e major jobs around, Amuro headed back into the big street.

Where
to look for first?

Eddie rode his way to Hatties. It was a large town, though it had the essentials, a general store, a saloon a sheriff's office among other things.

Riding the horse to just outside the saloon, he climbed off his horse and entered the saloon, the saloon was busy to say the least, full of random folk, cowboys, outlaws, imperials, among others.

Walking up to the bar, he took a seat on the bar and said, "Give me the usual."

The bartender gave Eddie a jug of beer, followed by a secret message. "Yo, Eddie, I heard that the Mayor of this city is looking to see the Imps out of his city, so we have his support on this."

"Whatever, all that matters is that these bastards pay for what they did to me and my family."

"All in due time, all in due time."

OOC: Right. Ill go to the bar. Flash the need for a job a bit. Just so you know, i had intended for Shiva's Retinue Company (Amuro's mercenary group) and Ifrit's Flame (Noir's) to be very reputable.

It had been over a whole two hour since she began to hunt for any jobs. Jobs were definitely scarce. No one dared to bear any obvious arms in case some imperial bastards take it upon themselves to relieve them of it. Not Amuro though. Let them try.

Augh... Damn this sucks. Why do i have to be the one that looks for work. I betcha stupid Damasca is sitting in the damn HQ drinking cold beer and eating like a pig.

While she moaned, Amuro caught sight of a bar. Good thing was that she had an open line to the Guild coffers. Since Damasca was the treasurer this was just a slight revenge. She was going to splurge since she was the only one working. Proudly, Amuro swung open the door and strutted right in. Typical in a town such as this, there were a more rough looking crowd than
the norm. It didn't bother her. Her weapons was a deterrent as was her emblem stamped on the back of her jacket (THIS with THIS behind it in ice blue), but her own reputation as a high ranking officer in the Company was the main factor. Her guild was well known and liked enough that people would give due respect, even if its grudgingly from past enemies. Amuro planted herself in a seat near another patron that was already there.

Barkeep. Gimme something expensive. Plus a nice steak sandwhich. And while you're at it, you know any job thats been floating around? Company seems a bit slow with the Imperials around. I'm going have to take up searching for lost kittens soon if this keeps up.

(OOC: Looks like Revilo and Sophia have customers.)

Revilo continued to wash dishes behind the counter as customers poured in and out of the bar. His bar named "Falacore" was suprisingly busy this time of day and he and his sister Sophia did their best to serve the customers. Revilo glanced at the crowd a woman had just enterd and took a seat at the bar.

Revilo gazed at her with his bright green eyes and dull expression. "Sophia!" He called from across the room, " I need a bottle of Lixir Sat."

His sister perked up and rushed to the back of the bar into an unknown room to retrieve the most expensive liquored drink they had. The woman had striking features and seemed very rough like a sort of bounty hunter. Revilo liked the toughness that almost matched his own, but kept his heart locked. For he could never be able to open himself to someone he cant trust.

"What kinda jobs are you seeking around here? A small town like this doesn't get much action. I'm a bounty hunter so I know about most of these things before hand. But as far as I know nothing's happened." Revilo had taken a steack off the grill from behind him and flipped it on a sanwhich which he began to prepare.

"Are you looking for anything in particular?" Revilo asked, his voice dry as the sand that lie outside.

Sophia came back with a tall mug of golden Lixir and placed it before the woman. "Here you go! Enjoy!" She said happily as she pranced off to help the next customers.

Revilo glanced at his hard working sister. He would have to reward her soon for all her hard work. But he didn't have much money left from his last bounty. He could use the money. " If you find any jobs keep me posted." Revilo said as he placed the steaming steak sandwhich in front of the woman. "Believe it or not I could use some pay myself."

OOC: Tipsy and oliver, I will be entering the same bar you're in now

After her brief hour of fun, Raine decided it was time to leave this mans house. Without saying goodbye, she walked out the door. Now her drunkeness had faded away and she was back to normal, probably having sweat most of it out. She wasn't able to remember the bar she was just at, but she walked into another one. This time, she didn't feel like having the same fun, she was going to see if she could pick up a job here.

Not paying any attention to the people in the bar or even the scenery, she shouted aloud in hopes for everyone to hear, "Listen up!" She angled her hips to show her guns and knife. "I need a job, so if you pay me right, I can do a bit of a hunt for anyone that needs it." She was unsure if her voice could be heard through the entire bar, but she needed another job to do.

Of course, a bar like this seemed to be the type to attract the attention of hunters of all sorts. People in it seemed tougher than normal, even the bar tender seemed like the type to know his way around a fight. It was then that she realized that this was a bad choice of a place to ask this question, as everyone here would probably do their own hunts. But for all she knew, someone could also be looking for a partner for a job, so not all hop was lost.

OOC: You don't have to interact, but it would be nice

Siiiigh..... Brilliant. Well, My company is Shiva's Retinue, so if you didnt know before, we specialise in combat. Anything from protection, escort, transportation....bounty hunting, anything dangerous, even fighting in a war.

Amuro looked out in a distant sort of way at the word "war". She had fought in it as part of the Republican side. In other words, the losers. It didnt help that the stupid Ifrit's were always deployed against them.

"Here you go! Enjoy!"

The girl came back with a drink which Amuro thanked before returning to her conversation with the Barkeep.

If you find any jobs keep me posted. Believe it or not I could use some pay myself."

Haha. Yea. Times are tough with the Imps around. Maybe a revolution would pop up from nowhere and save all our asses?

It was a joke. No one had the balls to stand up to the Imperial presence in their country, Not even Shiva. They needed someone to unite the country for any sort of chance. With a dejected smile, she tilted her drink in a sort of mock toast at the Barkeep and drained her cup.

Haa.....nice stuff. Another if you will....

"Listen up! I need a job, so if you pay me right, I can do a bit of a hunt for anyone that needs it."

A woman entered the bar and drew Amuro's attention from the Barkeep and her drink. She could not help but give a depressed smile before she spun on her chair to face the woman. Amuro had sat herself in the middle of the bar, so she now faced directly at the woman, her own revolvers under her arm showing as well as her rifle, which was resting on the seat of the chair and leaning on her shoulder, came into view.

Sorry sister, but i think you struck out. Barkeep and me here seemed to be in need of jobs, though at least he is employed with an income.

Amuro now had a better view of the woman. She was older than herself, much older and the way she carried herself, Amuro could tell she was confident. Same as her, but different. One point did make her smile was that they were dressed in a somewhat similar fashion. A jacket and shirt that is rather revealing.

So im afraid the answer is no.

Revilo had been fixing up another cup for the woman at the bar when another came bursting in like a lunatic. His bar was old. He could not have her busting things up...

"Listen up! I need a job, so if you pay me right, I can do a bit of a hunt for anyone that needs it."

The first thing that came into his mind were prostitution services, but the Revilo remembered the "hunt" part of this woman's speech. Revilo frowned at yet another person looking for a job in a jobless town. He did not like the way she had suddenly disturbed the peace of his bar, nor the needy plea for employment. He did not like the distasteful golden ensemble she had put together. Nonetheless this was bussiness so he had to address her but before he could, the woman he served beat him to it.

Sorry sister, but i think you struck out. Barkeep and me here seemed to be in need of jobs, though at least he is employed with an income. So im afraid the answer is no.

Revilo was taken aback at how he was throw so easily into the conversation. Yes he did have a job but he doubted she would know how easily the profits went to Sophia's education and managing the Bar. Nonetheless he adressed the woman. "This isn't a place for advertising ma'am." He said as politely as he could put it. "You can come to ask for info but disturbing the environment in Falacore with needless shouting isn't necessary."

Revilo went back to serving the first woman her drink and went to look for Sophia who was now serving a group of teenage boys about the same age. Revilo didn't want her flirting and getting into trouble. He had to look after her. "Sophia, new customer." Revilo said aloud so that Sophia looked away.

"Sit down." Revilo told the woman dressed in golded colour. "Have a steak. Or else you can leave."

Sophia went up to the woman and introduced herself. "Hi! Welcome to the Falacore! I'm Sophia!" She said with a big grin. "There are some seats left at the barstools. I'll get you a drink for starters. What would you like?"

Raine got a response from here shouting, but not what she was looking for. A woman much younger than her had spoken to her, with a very similar manner of dress.

So she was right about her fault, this wasn't the best place to look for a job. But at least she tried. Before she could say anything to this woman the bar tender spoke to her. He didn't seem to pleased with what she had done.

"Sorry if I seemed a bit intrusive." She took a seat next to the woman that addressed her. "Just lookin to make a bit of cash, but I'm sure you know this story." Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out some paper money. "Give me the most expensive wine you got, I'm not up for some steak." She chuckled a little bit, she was sub-consciously mocking him and didn't even realize it. "My name is Raine."

After finishing his drink, Eddie said aloud, "I've got a job for you guys." He turned looking at the mercenaries interested. "Meet me at sun down by the watertower." Eddie payed for his drink then left.

Getting on his horse, he headed off towards the watertower, on the edge of town. It would be the last place anyone would look for people to gather. He now have to wait a few moments though, giving him time to clean and load his weapons. It would be time for a revolution to happen under the Imperial's nose.

OOC: A ridiculously short one. Im kinda stuck on what to write.

"My name is Raine."

Raine, huh? Names Amuro. Shiva's Retinue Mercenary Company. If you want an expensive drink, i guess i could buy you one. Pour her another cup for me girl.

It seemed only right to buy a fellow hunter a drink. After all, they both seem to be in a similar situation. She was about to drink to her lack of employment yet again when someone to the side called to them.

"I've got a job for you guys. Meet me at sun down by the watertower."

Amuro froze for a second, the cup halfway to her lips. The man quickly scuttled out of the bar, which piqued her curiosity. From the way he had said it, it seemed like a rather big job. It was perfect. The whole Company may end up working again.

Well....seems like i was wrong. Sun down was it? What is the time now?

(OOC: Revilo can sound very moody sometimes but he doesn't mean to...)

"My name is Raine."

Raine, huh? Names Amuro. Shiva's Retinue Mercenary Company. If you want an expensive drink, i guess i could buy you one. Pour her another cup for me girl.

"He name's Sophia." Revilo grunted as he got the drink himself and poured a cup nhimself. "And I'm Revilo, Revilo Green. And I think it's about time to close up shop. Sundown's coming..."

He began emptying the dirty glasses from the bar counter and placing them in the dishawasher. "Since it sounds like a mission big enough for the three of us, you two can sit here."

Revilo went to the back and took off his black apron. He grabbed his leather jacket and slipped off his shoes and into his shotgun boots. He grabbed Saksore's sheath and strapped it onto his back and headdd out of the door.

"And just where do you think you're going?" Sophia asked

"I've got a job..." said Revilo. "You stay here and close the place early okay? Don't let any strangers in."

Sophia moaned out of dissappointment. "I want to go too! I can help!" She said. "You're not the only one with magi-"

"Just do it." Revilo barked as he looked straight into her eyes with a steely gray stare.

"Okay..." She said defeated as she trudged towards the front of the bar to close up.

Revilo felt bad that he shouted, but he only wanted her to be safe. He would give anything for her to be safe and out of danger. Not using magic. Magic- the root of their troubles. He walked out towards the front of the bar waiting for the two women to respond.

The sun slowly started to come down, and Eddie was nearly ready to begin the operation. He now waited for the mercenaries and his contact to arrive under the water tower.

He checked his guns, a revolver, a repeating rifle and a shotgun to make sure they are in working order. He checked his ammo, his water canister, his whiskey. Eddie was now fully prepared to undertake his mission against the Imperial forces of Maximilliano I.

OOC: Sorry for the delay, lack of inspiration.

No way Raine could turn down a free drink, so when the one named Amuro offered her to pay for a drink, Raine let her buy it. "Thanks, I appreciate it." She had a bit of a smile on her face when she spoke. Then to top it off she heard a man say something about a job offer and to meet him at sundown by the water tower. She didn't know this place too well, but she would just stick with the other two that should know where it is.

The bartender was closing up and Raine was invited to stay for the job. That was good, but she couldn't help but hope these people would have some fun to offer. She paid no attention to him after that, as he was not talking to her. Turning to Amuro, she spoke to her in a friendly manner, "So what's this 'Shiva's Retenue Mervenary Company'?"

"So what's this 'Shiva's Retenue Mervenary Company'?"

Amuro was sitting back in her chair, waiting for the Barkeep to get ready. The job offered seemed to require a bit more manpower than just her or Raine, so waiting for him would seem more smart. If its a job that requires more people, then its danger increases. Sure the pay for each goes down, but Amuro did not have the luxury to put her head on the block for a small job. She still had to look after the others in the Company. This brought Amuro back to Raine's question.

I'm surprised. Here i thought we were renown enough for most people to have heard of us. Well, it is what it said it is. Shiva's Retinue is a Mercenary Company. We are hired guns, mostly doing the more dangerous requests. Right now, we are hitting a lull in jobs. We picked the wrong side in the war to support and it seems like the Imps didnt take too kindly to it. Now the stupid Ifrit's are taking every job since they were on the Imp's side.

(She doesn't have to wait for him, he's been at the front of the bar :P)

"I used to do the same thing for a living." Revilo spoke upon hearing the company mentioned.

He stood at the door still waiting for the women. "It's almost sundown, we should get going. Sophia's closing shop soon. You can stay or go, it's up to you."

Without so much as a glance Revilo left, not out of disrespect but of focus. He wanted to get this job finished early so that he could get back to the bar.

Arriving at the ewater tower Revilo met the strange man and stood in silence. He didn't feel like talking. Only waiting and hoping for a nice price to get paid.

"It's almost sundown, we should get going. Sophia's closing shop soon. You can stay or go, it's up to you."

Mr Sunshine for you...

Amuro rolled her eyes as the serious man walked by. She should be equally serious, but there wasn't much point for it during this time. Shrugging her shoulder at Raine, Amuro emptied her own glass before handing it to Sophia. Before walking a step, Amuro made sure her guns were ready and the strap on Integra was tight and ready. Satisfied, Amuro made her way after the man. He walked briskly as evident that Amuro almost lost him the moment she stepped out of the bar.

The water tower stuck up as an indicator and it wasn't long before Amuro caught up to Revilo. Her steps slowed until she stopped next to him, managing to see the man that had offered them a job.

Heya. The other woman will be here shortly. You got a job right?

OOC Running out of RP juice :gasp:

After hearing all about the company she had asked about, she scoffed a bit. Waiting for the other two to exchange words, she then spoke to the both of them, "Then I guess in times like these they won't want more workers then, eh? Oh well, I can do just fine on my own." She grabbed her revolver and twirled it around in her fingers. It wasn't loaded so she wasn't the least worried about accidentally firing a shot. During her little show off moment, she stood in the process and twirled it back into the hilt.

She too was heading for the water tower like the man asked to. But first, she paused to load up her guns. She wasn't sure of what was ahead, so she loaded all six shots in each gun. She hilted them back up and continued to walk. When she got there, she saw the other two there already. They obviously beat her because she had to load her guns. Either way, her knife was easy access.

"Well, here we are"

Heya. The other woman will be here shortly. You got a job right?

Eddie looked up at the clean-cut female mercenary. "Yeah, I've gotta job for ya." Standing up and flicking his revolver so it snaps back into ready position.

"From what I've heard, those damned Imps have cut off our supplies to this city, they've destroyed all by Imperial-escorted supplies into the city. What they've been trying to do is win the hearts and minds of these people here."

Eddie put a hand in his pocket and pulled out a map of the city. "The city is seperated from the rest of the country by the Hatties Ravine, a series of chasms that would take weeks to traverse to the other side unless you cross the bridges, in which it takes a day."

Eddie looked out into the sunset sky then turned to face those who arrived.

"We have a carriage carrying supplies and ammo for when the Republican army begins the liberation of the port. They want me to hire mercenaries to help and ensure the convoy gets to the destination safely."
