Build build build! You have to have some knowledge in this game to actually get anywhere. C-5's R-5's. Build build build! Great game. There is Sim Ant, Sim City, Sim Tower, Sim's.

Plenty of great games out there under the Sim Series.

Anyone into any of these games?

Peace,
Octavius

Okay, no one's posted in this thread, but I guess...

I love Sim City 3000, not so much Sim City 4 because that game seriously was a bit too hard. It was annoying to see pop-up messages about the populace complaining about traffic, when it's clear that there's not really that much traffic on a certain road or street....:tongue1:

Other than that, yeah, I'm into these games, I think of it as an alternative version to strategy games anyway, because they feel so much alike. ^_^

I like Sims. It's like...you're running your own life and everything. It's pretty fun. I have not played in a long while though.

Lol, the SIms 2 thread is at the top of the PC section Hayate.

I cant say Ive played any of the Sim City games.
Ive played the Tycoon series. IMO they look better.

I have only played Simcity the original and 4. Both are pretty cool but obviously 4 is much better. It is difficult but loads of fun to play, I'm not too great at these games but either way they're great. I always run out of money very quickly and it's annoying. There's LOTS of things to look after like electricity, water, traffic and many other things so you have to stay pretty focused. The whole series is really good and unique.

All Sim games are good!

Oh hell yeah! I loved the Tycoon series too. They got better with graphics advances. xD

Also, I didn't like Sim City 4. It was incredibly hard and it was so tough to manage everything. Every 5 minutes there would be another complaint about a road being too congested, a highway being too slow, and a road (that doesn't even LOOK like it's remotely traveled) is pissing off the populace.

It was so annoying that I quit.

agreed, Sim City 4 is the one Sim City game i have, and it's very hard to manage things. then i discovered Transport Tycoon - which i currently play on my Mac and unfortunately SC4 became obsolete...

I've only played Sim City 1 and spent ages on it when I was younger. I tried playing 4 but couldnt get into it like I did with the original. I guess when I was younger my gaming experience wasnt as widespread as it is now.

I played Sim City 3000, but I wasn't like build build build, i was more like destroy destroy. I made so much trouble for the city with disasters :P

I played the original sims and loved it, but I'm missing the cd so I stopped playing it.

Actually, I got a couple of updates from the simtropolis website and other user-made buildings and the experience is just that much better. All that traffic and unemployment crud goes away with just one mod, it's so great, and now I'm back into playing SC4.

Must get is the BAT.

I just picked up SimCity 4, and am still getting the hang of it, but love it all the same. I have long been a fan of Maxis games, and back in the day had SimCity (2000), SimTown, SimAnt, SimTower, etc. Good stuff.

Tycoon games are also fun. I just picked up Railroad Tycoon 3 and can't put it down. Simulation games in general are just addicting...
