Any past or current song that you can't stop listening to because it applies to your life right this moment. Maybe a family member has passed away or a girlfriend is seeking revenge on her cheating boyfriend?

I'll start off. "Ben Hur" - Switchfoot. Combines my affinity for Charlton Heston, the original Chuck Norris, and 90's rock :} The song is pretty straightforward. It's about a dude who waited for a girl, but in the end, even though he thought she was, she wasn't the one. At least thats how I interpreted it.

What about you guys?

When You're Gone by Avril Lavigne.

My great grandma is currently dying of blood cancer and I'm seeking comfort through listening to it. She hasn't died yet, but she's exceeded expectations so far and we've no idea when it'll finally happen. Until then, I guess you can say I'm listening to this in solitude.

Jo De Messina - Heaven was needing a Hero.

My sister died fighting in Afghanistan last month. This song just makes so much sense. It lets me know that she was a hero fighting for freedom and fighting against terrorists to keep the world safe. It makes me feel a little better that heaven was needing a hero like her.

Hello by Lionel Ritchie (I like the Glee version more though -gleek-) : My interpretation of this song is about having a massive 'crush' on someone and desperately wanting to be with them and care for them.
It really relates to me because I currently have an insanely massive 'crush' (it's such a schoolyard word isn't it?) on someone.

This is who I am- Vanessa Amarosi: It's all about learning to be yourself and stop freaking about what other people think. This is something I realised recently with the help of this song.

The only exception- Paramore: The title says it all. It's about that one person being the only exception to make you believe in love which is how I feel about the person I mentioned above.

There are more, they are just the top 3 (in no order).

Yes, I sound like a desperate loser when it comes to love :(

Prison Sex by Tool, its video was banned/stopped airing at first for its meaning on Child abuse and such, I guess it was a sensitive subject, I really hate abuse against children and anything that basically can't fend for itself, So I really hear the songs lyrics out.

The problem is I have like a collection of songs--oh hell, it's actually 'A Clock With No Hands' by The Roots. I've lost friends and watched them slip away from me, so it hits home. Hard. To the point where I can't cry, I can simply sit and think back on the times I shared with these people. It's a simple song, but just as resonant as their other tracks on 'Game Theory'. I think anyone can relate to this . . . we've all watched friends slip away, we've all wanted to be left alone to deal with the hard shit, or to sort shit out. That's a universal feeling that this song addresses beautifully.
