I'm a wee bit biased, 'cause I love Garnet as a character, so I voted for 2. I think the white space is used well and somehow doesn't make them look plain, like a lot of other white stuffs. 1 is good too though!

2 is very good but I feel that particular artwork of Garnet is so ubiquitous it doesn't really catch my eye. 1 is very eye catching, has nice composition despite actually being fairly complex, and it's AngelBeats! That was a weird anime, but I liked it

The Garnet set feels a little lacking. I found the first set just to have a better look to it. That isn't to downplay how great the Garnet set is, but I just prefer the other one personally.
