The theme this week is Final Fantasy. Please remember, that while posting isn't necessary in order to count your vote, it is encouraged.

Also, please remember that you CANNOT vote for your own entry, and you will be disqualified from this SOTW, and the next two SOTWs if you do so.

I went for #1 this week.

Clean, simple, and I love the effects. Main character from the latest Final Fantasy definitely depicts the Final Fantasy theme well.

A small concern I have is the text. Maybe some transparency would make it look less slapped on.
 
I love #3!

It's so vibrant and stands out brilliantly!

The colours are gorgeous and I love the sketchy bits around her!

Wonderful work on the blending and lighting!

The text is well positioned and I love the fonts and colours used on the text!

Simply gorgeous work!

#3 and #4 are both very good and I had a very tough time deciding between the two.
Great color combos on both of those entries and they both have great art work. I went with #3 though. It seems like it is telling a story o.o
 
They're all excellent efforts and they all look beautiful. But I'll go for #1.

The lighting is just beautifully done and it does seem to symbolise the coming of hope really well - which is a really nice effect. I like the half borders as ever - in does finish off the final thing well.
 
I'm going with #1

I liked how there's a side that's brighhter and the other is a little darker. Balances it out a bit.

The border is a nice touch to the siggy as well.

Lightning looks great against the background as well and overall, represent's the theme (duh xD)

I like the text too :hmmm:

This is a tough call, but I'm going to go with #3 on this one.

I really like the coloring of it, and it all looks very crisp. The positioning of the figure was done well, as was the position of the text--it flows with the composition rather than sticking out too much. The gentle colors on the text also help keep it part of the image without being too gentle and unreadable.

Very nice work!
 
I chose #5 simply because I like Fang and I like abstract looking signatures. The effects are nice but I would have liked it a bit more if Fang was cleaner.
 
It was between 1 and 4 for me. The both have nice focal points and lovely effects that move your eye nicely across the piece, but I ended up going with #4. The text just made the signature stand out to me.
 
I voted number 5. Lots going on, but they managed to keep it clean. Great work.
 
two members of my main party in FFXIII are here!. anyway.. #1 and #5 both look great.. but.. i think i'm gonna go for #1 because i like its simplicity and the effects specially the lighting effect..

I voted for 1.

I don't think it pushes an boundaries and is pretty much the usual sort of tag that you see. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, it's just the IMO, it's not anything new.

That doesn't stop it looking good though.

Easily the best one IMO. I like the stocks used, especially the subtle one of the wing. The text is also great. I like how XIII is behind the main text.


I also like 10 and how it used a pen tool line to create the letter C.

It was a really close call between 1 and 4. But in the end I picked the Cloud banner, 4.

The render used with that stock is AMAZING. Simply amazing. The blue sparks and the flare wrapping around his body is just the perfect touch, it even looks like lifestream. The placement of the font is...bloody brilliant. I love the softness of the cursive clashing with the bold font that says FFVII. It's just so eye catching and so captivating.

It's the perfect size too. Oh, and the lighting is great.

Yea, so that's why I pick this one to win. Sucks it only has two votes.
