Wow second place isint bad 0.o
Anyways im mostly here to suggest another theme, probably Anime?
 
Umm, I've just been thinking now. I reckon it'd be better if you were to allow the members to vote who they think has the best entry. They do it like that on this other forum I'm on and it's much better.
 
realy agree with you paddy

i think that you should make the theme based Monsters like dragons, beasts, imps>_< ect. or... kingdom hearts

i ain't got the best or brightest ideas you know !

Yeah we do that on ACF. Thing is I find that either way can be biased. In a poll vote people could go for who they know.. and not on graphical context of a members work.

I'd say go for a poll vote but don't let spamming(And will not be tolerated) of saying " so and so GMV" and thats its. They must state why in terms of the persons graphic skills in there work.

( BRIEF EXAMPLE: Too much light in the corner, not appealing, colours are brillant brings out the mood and so on)

Simple, anyone wanting to participate should pm their entries to you, and you put them into a thread, as a poll, and just not say who's it who's.

Good idea, but our usernames will be on them or else we could be accused of plagarism, but good idea, i like it, but i still includes voting.
 
Just don't put your username on it, and add your own little trademark thing to show that it's your's. Something that isn't completely obvious. That's what I often do.
 
How about character themes, for example:

Next week: Sephiroth Theme
Week after: Squall Theme

Or even a Title Theme, for example:
Next week: VIII
Week after: X

Or a villians theme, for example:
Next week: Kefka
Week after: Kuja
 
Ah just to remind you Becki but I do remember some bizzare and un-original themes such as:

Cosplay
Fanart
Real life
Deserts( yes as in the food)
Photo manipulation
Elements
And if you want to cause no one has ever done it Vehices ( Street racing esp :P)

It's really hard to limit it to one character, anime and final fantasy may consist of hundreds of characters!
 
Hmm I do find that having a set character is a bit problematic; most people end up using the same render and therefore the sigs look very similar. Besides, a set render can always be a theme. Riku, since you're not a Graphics maker, you could choose the set render if you like - although this will come later so I'll IM you. -_~

As for other themes, well done guys for coming up with so many. Y'all really creative x]. What I might so is set up a poll, with themes, and let you decide which one you'd like. Sound fun?

Yes, the way it's judged will be changed. We'll go for a poll where members can vote. Please read the following.

++ Entries must be PMed to me. I can then set up a poll.
++ Do not have your username on it. This may be difficult to detect plagiarism, so I ask that you have some sort of symbol on your sig. Besides, if you rip others work, that's just lame, and you're the one that wont benefit from it, so what's the point? Not having your username on it will prevent favourtism, and besides I think it'll be fun to try it this way.
++ Reasons MUST be given for casting your vote. If you just vote in the poll without a post, the vote will not be counted. You can't like something without reason. If posts are along the lines of: 'I pick entry 3 because it's good' then again it will not be counted. It may be a pain to explain why but this is a forum, where your opinions DO matter, so put them fourth.

Well, that's following all your suggestions. Comments? =D
 
Yesh Mate!! Great one =D Though adding a funny symbol will be hard I think. Well You'll know if it is mine cause you end up seeing the .psd of " how it was made"

And the poll with themes. Good idea but I wonder where i've heard it before :P
