Because everything that happens on Twitter is news nowadays, it’s come to our attention that Square Enix is working a new unannounced game – one that is said to “shock” and “stoke” when it’s revealed.

“Oh and working on stuff for an unannounced game,” Square Enix PR Sonia Im wrote in a recent Twitter update. “Think people are going to be shocked and stoked :) You’ll never guess what it is.”

Since I’ll never guess what it is, I won’t try and instead will just go back to sleep. You guys can take all the cracks you want, though – in the comments.

Final Fantasy XV? Not sure if that's officially been announced yet. Or it could be one of the long string of Kingdom Hearts titles they've said that are coming up. Kingdom Hearts III perhaps?

they either announce shite or leave you hanging about stuff that long that they just kill it
 
It'll depend on who she means by "working on new stuff", if she means Square Enix in general I could probably imagine there's a big game, if it's her personally it'll be next to nothing. It's probably going to be the Valkyrie Profile or 4 Heroes of Light. It'll only be bigger depending on who is making the announcement of said game.

No, seriously, I think that it may be a totally new franchise, maybe. I hope that it's really new, and not just shite talk again. Maybe they are working on a new game for the franchises they aquired?
 
shocked and stoked are pretty strong words to use. It certainly takes more than a new Valkyrie Profile or a FF VII remake to shock me, that's for sure. Hell, I might get stoked if they announced a new Chrono game, but I certainly wouldn't be shocked.

Now if Square announced that they bought the rights to RapeLay and were working on a sequel, THAT would shock me :mrgreen:
 
Ok ill wait like I did with the little surprise. This one seems that its gonna be really really big so I guess ill follow :gasp: What could it be. Probably Final Fantasy XV, Dissidia II or Kingdom hearts III or even VP IV. Or even the VII remake. Lets just wait and see! Better not dissapoint us
 
Pfft....SE, don't you think I've learned from your little games now? I don't want to be cynical especially as the title sounds so exciting, but SE's idea of "shock" and "stoke" is probably crap to the rest of us. The previous times that SE have promised surprises - turned out to be rubbish (Peace Walker figures, ahem). And as it's coming from their PR Sonia, I'm definitely not holding my hopes up.

I do however, wish that it is indeed Valkyrie Profile (3?). However, isn't it Tri-Ace who make the VP games and not Square Enix? :hmmm:

I think KH III Will never be made, although I think it might be part two of the last remnant. I quite enjoyed that SE game :P
 
I'll just cross my fingers and hope it's a Xenogears remake/completion. :monster:

At this point, I'm pretty sure the eventual announcement will be a letdown though.

@ Dean Winchester: I wouldn't be so sure. I mean, after all these years? >.> Possibilities being a bunch of the things mentioned earlier in this thread, I myself would love a Dissidia 2/II, that is probably my favourite PSP game, and imagine if one was made for PS3. :jess:
 
Well they've been taunting people with it for who knows how long, dissidia didn't really sell well if i remember right. If could be something else, so i'm not really sure but when they do announce what it is i already know i'm not going to be surprised. :hmph:
 
Oh jeez, I don't bother with anything vague Sonia says anymore. Last thing she said made everyone think it was a demo for FFXIII, but it was just some stupid event for selective locations to play the demo >_>

I bet the shocking game is either something SE Japan has already announced, or it'll be a silly iPhone game I won't even be able to play >_>
 
I'm gonna go ahead and call this as a FF V or VI remake. Before VII is remade, they need to remake the other two (considering they've remade all others consecutively).

She said we would never see it coming. I think we all see a remaking coming... Eventually. :ffs:
 
The bit about how we'll "never guess" what it is intrigues me. It probably rules out any FF remake as well as the next installments (i.e. Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts III etc.).

Knowing SE's track record of lame, underwhelming announcements, I can see this being some kind of niche Nintendo 3DS title or something.

Nah, I don't think it's VII. It'd be cool if it was some action-packed game like the Call of Duty series, that'd be fooking sick!
