Yesterday, Square Enix's overseas offices let slip word via Twitter that a PlayStation 3 action RPG that would be released to Japan's PlayStation Network shortly. Sure enough, an action RPG hit PSN today, courtesy of Square Enix.
It looks like the communication wires might have gotten crossed here, though, as the game Square Enix released today is just Trine the Lost Relic. Overseas markets got this game last year, so you can get all the details elsewhere.
Square Enix is charging ¥2,400 for Trine. A demo of the game is also available. To see how Square Enix is pushing the game here, visit the Japanese official site.
Assuming Trine is the game that the Square Enix overseas staff was Tweeting about, there isn't much of note here for those waiting for the next big RPG from the company. However, it is notable that Square Enix is releasing a third party title on PSN. Previously, the company localized Lost Winds and its sequel for the Japanese WiiWare service.
