Is anyone here, as much of a die-hard fan as I am? :)

Just...there are so many great things to say about this game.
The skill system is absolutely amazing, and fun. ^_^

Probably not as much of a die hard fan... but I did like Star Ocean 2. Except one of my disks is bad and keeps crashing in the bonus dungeon :(

I'd say Star Ocean 2 is better than Star Ocean 3. Granted the graphics aren't on the same level, but how much does that really matter?

I have to say that I enjoyed playing SO2 much better than SO3. "The Second Story" was a lot longer, it had a much better story line, and it was WAY more interactive that "Till the End of Time".

As a matter of fact, the third SO has a lot of glitches in it, one of which made me delete my entire game and start from the beginning. I was near the end of the game when I decided to enter an optional underground dungeon. I forgot what it's called, but there are a lot of Will-O-Wisps and water around. You are supposed to defeat a giant monster and the water will drain...

...Not ME! I defeated a Will-O-Wisp, and it teleported me UNDER THE WATER!!! I was able to fight the Spirit Trio, but I was stuck under the water with no chance of escape.

I have not played it for a while since, because I want to wait a while so I have a somewhat-fresh feel for the game when I finally DO decide to play it again...

I agree, SO2 was far better than SO3. The graphics had nothing to do with it. In fact I liked SO2's graphics more. It's hard to catch the fantasy of something when you're oogling over the graphics.

I liked SO3, it was fun when I had nothing else to do, but it's not comparable to the second one.

I wish I could have played the first Star Ocean, but apparently it only came out in japan. =[

I know, I was looking all over for that one... One day it will be mine... :sneaky: Muahahahahahaha.... Wuahahahahahaha.... Ahahahahahaha.... *ahem*

LOL I heard that it's super hard though!!!!
AGggggggggg I would kill to have that game!!! I would KILL!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder where to get such a thing. ^_^

Omg yes but for now i will have to settle with the EVAR spectacular SO2.
Omg I cant describe how great this game is. ^_^

Gotta love Star Ocean Second Story, though Rena was pretty much a lame character. I didn't like her in the game to be very honest. Dias on the other hand was quite awesome.

I just loved the battle system and the gameplay overall. The many twists and plots made the whole game interesting to replay it over again and again.

Another game I really liked. Item creation was great and the game was huge. I tried to finished the bonus dungeon, but sadly the game is rather glitchy and it freezes almost every time after I defeat certain enemies...

I know, this game froze a lot on me as well. =\
But I loved the different skills, and cooking was super fun. ^_^

I agree, Rena was lame, but I always played as Claude. ^_^

Hmmmmm... :dry:Are you referring to Star Ocean The Second Story, or Star Ocean Till the end of time, because I found the latter to be quite glitchy, while the first ran just fine.

The second story was brilliant. It's almost unrivaled. <3

You're right, Till the end of time wasn't nearly as great.

Star ocean 3

To be honest with you guys im a fan of the 3rd one i never played the second one. post a reply with some kool stuff about the second one cause i might buy it. :D :D

I have to agree with this...TTEOT didn't give me the feeling that Second Story gave me. It was mainly the story of TTEOT that turned me off, since it made no sense at some point. Things went too fast and I didn't really liked the role of The Creator. Seriously that was so lame...

Second Story had an awesome story, still with its twists and turns, a zillion different endings and it kept you at the end of your seat.

BTW Same here Rhea...I mainly played with Claude. I played with Rena once to just check it out and to play with Dias :P

i have only played SO:TTEOT and i liked it a lot. so if the second one is better like you say, i am definitely going to have to check into it with out question. thanks for the thread, i love finding new games to get. ^_^

does SO:TSS have voiceovers. not that that means a lot to me but just curious

If you're thinking about buying it, make sure you have a good $60-100 dollars to spare.
SO2 is a RARE find.
I actually thought I lost my copy not too long ago, and I had &150 bucks ready to dish out. =x

Luckily though, I found it while I was packing up for college.
This game means...EVERYTHING to me. =x

Im not a die hard fan, but I do enjoy this game. I didnt like the PS2 release at all. For some reason it just didnt appeal to me.
