hey just started final fantasy 12 again yesterday, and as i have explored the license board last time and no whats on it i tend to do is exlplore the esthersand and gaining LP to get most of the Augments, once im about lvl 10 i start to explore the westersand as there are stronger enemies further in so i still go up levels.

i then continue the story till i get on the airship where i meet princess ashe, as i know of a good technique, as once you have rescued Ashe guards continully attack you, you meet them every 1-2 mins min, i can set my gambits up so that they can handle themselve, i then turned the tv off and went to sleep. i awoke the next morning with loads of LP.

anyone else have any interesting starting tips?

That's pretty lazy man. I mean, where is the dedication??? :zip: why don't you just pay a chimp to sit there and bash buttons for you :eek:uttahere:

I usually try to build up a massive chain and by the time I do that I have developed my characters very powerful due to the bazaar.

how am i lazy? i spend the first 4-5 hours getting ALL the augments, some of which are 150 points, that takes alot of dedication getting them all at the begginning of the game with just vaan

Actually id say its pretty clever. Gettin stronger without any boredom.
I prefer to just get through the story as quick as, i get really bored training characters and all that, also its more fun when the bosses are challenging

i remember once when i accidentally stumbled upon necrophis or what ever it is called, it is near that forest, anyways, lots of powerful monsters there and i was a very low level, about 5 hits and i was dead, i was cautious i slowly trained there and got high level and explored there, it was only till i left that i realised i wasnt meant to go there yet, and as i continued the story my characters were really high leveled up lol

any way, like i asked earlier, do you lot have any traditions or habbits you do at the beggininng of this game? do you tend to give each character a weapon and make them stick to that weapon class? ect

Please take note of this. Anymore non contributory posts will be deleted

There's a better trick to this.
You have to go to the stillshrine of miriam.
ANd there is one of those special monsters there. Kill all normal monsters wait 30 min and then you see him. He spawns undead. Set your gambits just right (not kill the big guy spawing, just the undead) and you can leave the ps2 on all night. I got from late 60ies to early 80ies in a night, swicht characters, went to school and in the afternoon the others where 80 too. So that night I finished the game.
Its basically the only reason I did this, just to see the ending. Because I wanted to start up another game and I didn't want to leave this one unfinished.

Clever as it may be it is still pretty lazy. You can sit there all day and claim that this 'starting tactic' is all your own work when in fact it isn't. As all you have done is leave it on an auto-pilot. What is the point of playing a game you do not enjoy? How can you possibly enjoy it if you want to get through it "as quickly as possible"...?

Tips eh? To be honest, I usually went into shops and found what equipment would be better for my characters, and I made a list of their prices, and did enough fighting, for licenses as well which I could get, to get the loot for selling, and LP points for unlocking stuff.

I tend to go for all the mist abilities first to get the bonus mp they bring and set up a steal gambit on two people so that I can get lots of loot. I also try to get the bestiary for each area as I go to get it complete and also for all the exp and lp.
