Okay, I've been posting alot of threads, mainly due to the fact of my return to Final Fantasy. But on FFXII, I have trouble with the Blood Gigas in the Stilshrine. My party can't beat the crystal bug, so I can't save and heal. I used most of my party's MP killing the three dragon aevis', so I can't cure as well. No ethers. I manged to scoot by the crystal bug, but I got damn owned by all the monsters. I couldn't open any new doors, so I was trapped. Help?

First of all hun, what are your levels going into there?
As for MP...you can run around for a while to restore it, and then you would have better chance at healing yourself.
And if you cant save and heal at that moment, keep going back outside, save there, and then go back. And repeat until successful.
The Blood Gigas are heavy hitters..so do you use Protect at all if you have that Magick yet?

If you can't beat that crystal bug you must be really underlevelled, or don't have a great set up on your gambits, I'd suggest going back to the paramina rift, doing some levelling. How's your equipment, have you updated recently...? Fight your way back to Bur Omisace, tock up on healing items if you are having MP issues

To Rulia: I do have Protect, but as I had barely MP left. Also, after a little more research on the Shrine, I found that I actually have two Ethers. They were naughty Ethers, hiding in the bottom of the inventory screen like that. If I return to outside, won't it reset the spawn? And as for MP, I usually do run around till it regains. But sometimes I don' have the patience for it all to regain

Meaning in most games I usually only level up the people already strong. e.g in the Pokemon games, my starter Pokemon is level 80+, while my other Pokemon, other than legendaries, are barely over 40. Balthier has a Betelguese, Vaan has a Demonbane, and Basch has a Flametongue.
Demonbane:59 attack
Flametongue: 54 attack with the fire element
Betelguese: 22 attack
I find that if I could find Balthier a 40+ attack gun, he would become my strongest as he is already keeping up with my character's damage now.

That's probably why your MP is draining so quickly.
On the green section, look for Warmage, Martyr, Headsman and Inquisitor. Once you have these your MP will last you ALOT longer. Also the "Channeling" Augments, they'll reduce the MP cost by 10%.
Thinking about it, I'm not too sure if Charge will be available for you to buy yet, but if it is, it allows you to regain MP, though it can fail, and when it does, your MP will drop to zero, so you'll just have to keep doing it until it charges.

Wow, thats amazing! I never knew something like that existed, I've printed out a copy. It should help alot, thanks DLFlux. I'm going to get right to working on my characters, thanks everyone for the help. I'll be sure to nag you all again when I need some more help, until then, goodbye.
EDIT: I bought Thief Cuffs and Nishijin Belts + Ice Shields. Will they come in handy at all? 1 Thief Cuffs, 3 Nishijin Belts and 3 Ice Shields. Turns out Balthier won't be able to equip the Ice Shield, with his gun and all.
