I've only heard 'The Metal' and that's because of Guitar Hero III. To judge just on that one song...well, the lyrics are okay but the guitar is where the song is at. So...that's my input...

The fat bald guy( don't know his real name) is a good guitar player, the guitar in tribute is good.

I think they are okay, nothing great or special though.

I like them. I think the guitar is ok, and the lyrics are alright, but they really aren't to special.

My favorite song is Tribute.

JB and Kyle are absolutely friggin' awesome. The Pick Of Destiny is even better!

i think that Tenacious D are great, there are bands who are better, but there are also bands who are worse. i love wonder boy and Fuck her gently, the final showdown from the pick of destiny is also good. i loved the pick of destiny moovie and found it Hilarious

They don't take themselves seriously, they're out there for fun and I like what they've done with the project.

They are no Muse but they'll pass as a decent duo...I would say the best songs they made were: Tribute, Beelzeboss and Master Exploder...as for the film, well, it just looked like the stuck random clips in random places. Sasquatch wtf? :wacky:

I agree, they're out for fun and create funny lyrics that fit with great sounding songs, you dont really find other bands like that.
I wish they'de bring out more songs

Jack Black et Kyle Gass FTW

Edit: I knew there would be at least one male who liked Fuck her gently:P

This movie was lols all the way, one of the few musicales I like. And the part when that hobo dude said, "Get over here Im gonna stab you", and they just ran away.. man that was hilarious :D

They 're ok, some of my favourites by them are: Wonderboy, Tribute, Master Exploder, The Metal, Kickapoo and Fuck Her Gently.

Some of their songs are kinda catchy but they get old pretty quickly. Tenacious D don't really stand out as anything more than a comedy duo, luckily they don't really try to be anything more than that.

The movie was pretty funny, but I wouldn't be able to watch it again (with the exception of the "Master Exploder" scene and the "Kickapoo" scene).

The are okay but like others have said they are nothing special. My favourite songs from then are probably Tribute, The Metal and Fuck Her Gentley.

Musically they don't have a lot of merit, but some of their stuff is funny as hell. The Pick of Destiny was very well received in my corner of the world.

I think they're good to watch, but I no longer find myself listening to their music a lot.
I used to listen to Tribute, Wonder Boy etc a lot, but I haven't for a while.
The clips I saw for the movie looked good, and I liked watching the Master Exploder scene and Kickapoo intro scene.
But they're more gimmick and "lol we make you laugh" than music to listen to.

Don't get me wrong, I like humour in music (I listen to Voltaire a lot) but most of their tracks are 30 seconds long, mostly consisting of them talking, and there are only about 3 or 4 strong tracks on each album. So there isn't really a lot to listen to, but fun to watch.

I think my brother bought the album a few years back and I copied it onto my computer.

They're pretty funny.

Especially Fuck her Gently and Tribute.

Wonderboy would be another favourite too.

They're good for a laugh but I wouldn't listen to them all the time.
