So the teaser trailer is just out (you can see it here), and I couldn't find a thread for just the film itself. Anyways really looking forward to it even though it's almost a year away, the cast looks really strong, and I have faith in O.L.S. Christopher Nolan

The cast is here on IMDB, click

Marion Cotillard and Anne Hathaway = babes.com

I'm pretty excited for it. Though it sucks that this will be Christopher Nolan's last Batman movie. And I don't like that Robin won't be in it(because Nolan hates Robin apparently). Either than that, I think it should be good. Bane will probably get some well deserved justice after his character was totally raped in Batman & Robin. I'm also kind of hoping that the Batman movie will be like the Nightfall series. But we shall see.

That's the entire reason that Nolan chose Bane my man, for the fact that he is incredibly intelligent and cunning, not just for muscle. That he managed to work out Batman's identity then executed a plan to break his spine and put Batman out of commission for a long time.

He obviously isn't going to that in the film because Batman couldn't heal in such a short space, but by the look of the trailer Gordon gets take down by Bane. Christian Bale said he would not do a Batman film if Robin was in it

Psssh, if Christian Bale wants to be picky about what can't be in the movie maybe he should realize what a joke his "in costume" voice is. That aside i love the gritty frank miller feel of these new batman movies and eagerly await the dark knight rises.

First off, it is AWESOME that someone else knows about Bane. You get serious Rep. And second, I can't think of Batman without Robin. To me, Robin is Batman's balance. Without Robin, I think Batman would go insane.

You and Christian Bale are done professionally.

I think a robin would ruin that dark gritty vibe to be honest, and we would waste more time on 'origin'. Robin is oh so very gay/camp

Bane is a phenomenal villain, really great choice. Though I am worried about crowding, with Catwoman, Cotillard being tipped as Talia Al Ghul in disguise, I hope we don't have a Spider-Man 3 on our hands.

Spider man 3, totally crashed and burned as for as story went. I think putting the green goblin, the sand man, and venom all in the same flick was just too excessive.

I am totally game for this movie though, can not wait.

Another reason why it Spider-Man 3 sucked, is because Sam Reimi apparently hates Venom and only put him in it because everyone wanted to see it. So his heart may not have been 100% in it.

Seeing the Dark Knight Rises Teaser get me psyched each time I watch. I have a confident feeling that this movie will not disappoint.

i'm sure it'll no doubt be another brilliant show from chris nolan, as well as gary oldman who i think deserves an oscar for playing gordon.
i'm really looking forward to seeing tom hardy as bane, it seems the perfect role for him. i'm still wondering what role joseph gordon-levitt will play though.

I thought having two face in The Dark Knight didn't really work. I understand why they put him in, thematic reasons etc, but any other villain was going to be overshadowed by Heath Ledger.
I am looking forward to Tom Hardy, they should forget about Bane and just have Bronson as the bad guy.

I don't think they quite realised how much Ledger would steal the show when they began to film. Tom Hardy is a sublime actor and he will be an excellent Bane, not to mention Nolan's interpretation is bound to be interesting and well-crafted. He transformed the Joker from a camp villain into a genuinely disturbing sociopath.

Two face also felt like he was just added on. I can't imagine he gets much screen time as two face. The climax is Batman vs Joker, and then he has to go and sort out two face. I don't think having more than one villain often works. I agree about Robin though, Nolan's Batman is very dark compared to the previous movies or even the TV series with Adam West which was about as camp as Kenneth Williams.
They'll also have to have a romantic interest for Bruce Wayne, which will probably be Anne Hathaway.

I guess though, but he was a useful device for developing the plot between Bruce nad the Gyllenhal yoke. As well as asking the whole 'is Batman just a vigilante cunt? There are surely better ways of dealing with crime' question. Probably, she is playing catwoman after all, hopefully Nolan will make that character interesting and not a ham-fisted attempt at feline sexiness. I'd imagine Cotillard will also be a flirty little minx too

But I don't think an American playboy can get married to a sizzling French sexpot, so he'll be interest in Hathaway. I think she's an odd choice and I don't think I'd believe that she could be a criminal of any type, just like I don't think anyone could believe in Jennifer Anniston playing any other part than the girl in a rom com. I understood why they turned Aaron Eckheart into Two face, developing the idea of the hero and juxtaposing him with Batman. But I feel that it could have been done quite a bit better.

I think it was a good idea, but it dragged on too long

I would much rather see a Juxtaposition of Gordon and Batman, he is a well-developed character and is repeatedly pointed out to be honest and good.

Also I noticed in the trailer that Batman actually takes a slight step back as Bane approaches, I may be talking out my ass but as far as I am aware he does not do that in the the previous films. I don't mean retreat, but literally step back as one opponent approaches

all the pictures i've seen are practically the same. he definitely looks a lot more badass than the last bane though.

he's also tearing up a picture of harvey dent in that second one, which is interesting.

Pretty much, nothing strange or startling in any of them as they say

I didn't cop that was Dent, I was trying to put the face together in my head but I just guessed it was Wayne. In the comics Bane releases the inmates of Arkham, and in the last film Batman said if people found out about what Dent had done, all the criminals he put away would be freed. I reckon Bane is going to publicise the whole Two-Face thing

i didn't notice either until it was pointed out. i like the idea of bane being more of a leader villain than the henchman he was in batman forever.
