The Brilliant refers to the members of the Brillantezza Family. Strictly speaking, the Brilliant are humans, but at some point in their family history, they grew arrogant enough that they decided to distinguish their 'kind' from humans. Hence, the name. Members of the family are blessed by the bounties of a pact their ancestors made with a Grand Spirit centuries ago. These bounties grant them innate spiritual strength, or otherwise referred to as 'Aura', which can be manipulated to perform various amazing feats.

Appearance –

Annalisa is somewhat well known for her innocent beauty. Her big, puppy-like eyes just melts away any reservations that a person can have when meeting a stranger. Her eyes are a dark brownish hue, almost similar in darkness to her hair, which is black in color. She dislikes wearing and never uses any hair ornament to hold her hair in place, leaving it free and unrestrained as it reaches down to her waist.

She stands at a height of 1.45m, and weighs 47kg.

Attire –

Due to the nature of her abilities, Annalisa is almost always seen in her casual attire even in the moments right before a battle. Her casual attire comprises a turquoise blouse with lace trims matched with a small skirt and sandals.

Armour –
Her armor is a magical construct, summoned only in her time of need. It is strictly utilitarian, void of designs but with a heavy focus on maneuverability. The armor is similar to steel armor in durability, but differs in terms of the weight - Ananalisa's armor weighs about 13kg, almost half the weight of an average, well-tempered set of steel armor. This armor has no more defensive properties than an ordinary set of steel armor.

The armor comes with a turquoise cape attached to the layered pauldrons of her breastplate. Unlike the armor, this cape has no defensive properties aside from the ability to fall from heights without hurting herself. For instance, with this cape, Annalisa is able to leap off a two-storied building and land perfectly unharmed - instead of a broken ankle. However, she will sustain injuries if she fall from taller ground.

Personality –
Annalisa is an epitome of good-naturedness. She is easygoing in virtually every situation, no matter the severity. She doesn't let up this facet of her personality, even in the darkest of situations. As a result, she is always the person who encourages others when some sort of unfortunate circumstances befall them. In any case, she rarely lets any negative emotions show on her face. While she is occasionally roused to anger and sadness, she feels it is not right to let others see that, and that what others deserve to see is her best side - a warm, smiling face.

Because this extends to her battles, she is known as "The Good-Natured Warrior' as a result. Always smiling, always encouraging.

It has to be noted that her look of disapproval is a warm smile and a shake of the head - which only further adds on to the reputation she built up as the Good-Natured Warrior. Only a rare few have seen something beyond her smile or expressionless face. Those who did say they prefer her usual self.

First Impression -
Good-natured. That is the most common word used to describe Annalisa. Most people, whether they're seeing her for the first time or not, never fail to agree to this description. She is always cheerful and always so easygoing. It's hard to imagine there's another side to her.

Abilities –
Her abilities should help to explain her subsequent characteristics.

Aura
The Brillantezza, or simply 'Brilliant', are capable of manipulating the bounties granted to them by the Grand Spirit, an entity of immense elemental energy. This is known to them as "Aura". Using "Aura", any Brilliant is able to enhance their physical attributes, or invoke magical phenomena. However, depending on the person's affinity with "Aura" there is a limit to how much they are able to manipulate. For most Brilliants, their ability to manipulate "Aura" is restricted to one specific attribute, or one specific magical phenomena. They would not usually manage to expand their abilities to other attributes.

However, Annalisa is a special cases. As a tradition, the Brillantezza family always renew their pact with the Grand Spirit every century by offering the blood of the family's first-born. This first-born would act as a conduit by which the powers of the Grand Spirit is distributed to all members of the Brillantezza family. These first-borns are subsequently known as 'Avatars'. Avatars, unlike other members, possess the ability to manipulate "Aura" freely, using it to expand multiple attributes at once, or invoking multiple magical phenomena.

Annalisa is the third avatar of the Brillantezza and thanks to that, she is allowed a significant degree of freedom with the manipulation of "Aura". However, due to her youth, she has yet to develop the ability to manipulate "Aura" with as much proficiency as past Avatars had. At present, she can use "Aura" to manipulate three aspects at once.

Changing from Case 1 to Case 2 is not a simple affair, however. It requires full concentration for her to properly manipulate her Aura to remove the enhancements for one attribute. Should her concentration be interrupted at any given point, she may end up losing all the enhancements or the magical phenomena. The manipulation of aura for combative purposes last a maximum of 5 minutes.

Strength –
This should be fairly obvious from her outward appearance. Annalisa has hardly any exceptional strength to boast about. This, however, can change if she is able to channel her "aura" into this aspect. When she focuses her aura on her strength, she can enhance her strength to superhuman levels, being able to punch through a brick wall with no problems.

Vitality -
Without her armor, she is hardly able to put up much of a resistance. With her armor, it is an entirely different story. The armor is durable enough to help protect her against most attacks, assuming she moves enough to avoid letting it become a well-placed shot. That said, any well-placed strike to weak spots in the armor can ruin her armor's defensive properties. For instance, the area between the pauldrons and the gauntlets is unarmored.

The armor does not offer any additional defense to the wearer's magical defense. ........

Speed –
This is where she shines. What she lacks in strength and vitality she makes up for in speed. Annalisa is capable of reaching up to 15mph in sprinting speed. This speed assumes there is no obstacles in her path. While she is still able to make her way through these obstacles at relatively good speed, she is not capable of parkour, so she usually takes to running around the obstacle - which will slow her down considerably.

If Annalisa chooses to, she can enhance her speed, allowing her to boost her running speed by 3-4mph. More importantly, she can improve her attacking speed, which can be of greater asset in a battle.

Stamina –
Ironically, her stamina is rather weak. With little motivation to exercise, she did not manage to improve her stamina for the most part. As a result, she is only able to sustain her sprinting speed for about 15 seconds before slowing down drastically to jogging speed. However, in high-stress situations, this may improve only somewhat. This is differentiated from her stamina in battles.

In battle, she can last a typical 3-5 minutes, depending on the intensity and difficulty. However, with enhancements using her Aura, she can last longer. However, if she goes beyond her usual limit and holds on using Aura, once she released it, she'll suffer the after-effects. (Typically fainting due to the fatigue)

Reflexes –
Annalisa is weak in this attribute. Usually, when she is taken by surprise, she would be stunned for a brief second or so before she moves to react. This second or so opens a window of opportunity that her opponents can exploit. To give an example, if she were to talk along a road and a robber decides to ambush her. She may be stunned by the sudden appearance of a stranger looking so hostile and end up giving him the opportunity to grab her bag and run off with it.

With enhancements using Aura, she may be able to improve her reflexes. With the enhancements, she may be able to more easily dodge attacks in actual combat. Unfortunately, the enhancements will not reduce the impact of the element of surprise. However, it will allow her to react faster to this surprise.
