Name: Ray Auron Bradwin.
Title: Blinding Swordsman, Ray earned this name through combat for he uses his sword and crystal keys that are based on light as his main attacks.
Alignment: Good, Ray fights for anyone with an honest cause and will fight evil in a heart beat. Ray’s mother was killed and his father transform by evil and so Ray fights it in a hope to find a way to return his father to normal.
Race: Human, Ray would be completely normal if not for his exposure to key crystals which have given him enhanced senses, inhuman attributes and a slight appearance change. The exposure has also stopped his body from aging.
Gender: Male.
Age: 17.
Appearance: Ray doesn’t like to think of himself as handsome but anyone who sees him would disagree, Ray has developed a slim face that’s more streamline than a normal human and because of his pointed ears he can pass for an Elf; these changes and the fact that he can’t grow any body hair apart from his eyebrows and the hair on his head and his skin won’t darken from it’s very light colour have been caused by of exposure to key crystals. Ray has a fair bit of muscle because of how much traveling he does and because of exposure to key crystals but like elves Ray is very thin even with his muscles. Ray is about 1.8 meters high and weights about 58kgs. Ray like all key crystal uses has an elemental lock breaker which is a pattern across his skin that shows what type of key crystals he can use and the elements that person can use. Rays elemental lock breaker is on his right arm and covers his hand and forearm but stops short of the elbow, Ray’s symbol is a complicated set of curved lines that are white and seem to give off a light of there own.Rays face is slim and agile and has dark blue eyes that are intelligent but serious and kind at the same time, Ray has medium length brown hair that has a longer fringe on his right side than his left. Ray has this longer half of his fringe hanging over his face which stops just short of his jaw bone in length; the rest of his hair is a mess which is pointing toward the back of his head apart from the rest of his fringe which is just pushed back along with the rest of his hair and ends up next to his left ear.
Attire: Ray wears a black long sleeved top with a golden trim that opens at the front by undoing fours buckles down the middles of the top, Ray never tucks this in and because of it’s length covers his waist and black belt; this top is fairly lose and has straps running across the top where Ray’s waist should be to hold Rays sheath. There is also one strap going from his right shoulder to left hip to hold a small black and grey bag to his back which is normally hidden behind his dark green on one side and black on the other side cloak which Ray wears on one side or the other depending on when and where he’s traveling. This cloak is normally folded and in his bag when he isn’t traveling.Ray has a pair of light grey pants that cover the upper part of his brown boots which have steel heels and toes for combat. Ray wears black gloves that are mostly covered in a white metal across the backs which allow for defense and allows Ray to punch without feeling the impact. Apart from this Ray wears a gold stud in his left ear and has a necklace which is a white sapphire in the shape of a teardrop which is on a golden chain.
Personality: Ray is calm and careful but is always kind to those who support good people and causes. Ray is a very careful talker who has the ability to get people to obey his commands and answer question before they realize what there doing which he finds useful when he’s trying to find out information that he wouldn’t normally be able to get out of someone. Ray is a crafty person who uses his surroundings and any resources he has to the best he can which makes him a great leader and an excellent tactician. Ray is a sincere person who lies only to his foes and evil and is a strong willed and minded person who is loyal to good causes and anyone who is loyal to him. Ray thinks highly of his friends and will treat them with respect and will never take advantage of them, unless they turn to the evil side.

Ray is agile and flexible and spends most of his time running, jumping and dodging when he’s in combat which due to exposure to key crystals has boosted these attributes beyond human levels. Ray can move so fast that he’s no longer but he can only move at these speeds for the briefest periods and only very sparingly of time but normally he is slightly blurred to his enemies.
Endurance: Ray can take a fair few hits before slowing or faltering but when he starts to slow he will slow quickly that’s why he knows melee combat and uses his own moves to parry and interrupt attacks rather than take them. Ray can take as much damage as a normal human before falling but because of this he makes himself hard to successfully hit.
Reflexes: Ray has near inhuman reflexes that allow him to dodge the occasional slow projectile like arrows and throw objects but not bullet and such. Ray has a good reaction time and is always ready to move at the slightest hint of danger.
Fighting Style: Ray has constructed his own melee fighting style through his travels which he uses when his opponents get close, this is a mixture of different martial arts and street fighting but unlike street fighting Ray fights honorably and will never hit an opponent while there down. Ray is an excellent swordsman and that coupled with his speed and melee attacks makes him lethal at close range but he is violable to any ranged attack be it arrow or magic. Ray’s fighting style is to use his sword and fists and get in while being supported by the occasional key crystal shield or attack.
Weapons: Ray uses key crystals and his fists and feet as his weapons.
Key Crystals: shards of elemental energy created when Ray focuses during the day but they have a hefty energy cost to create, Ray can only make one every hour or so without tiring himself out. Rays Crystals are compressed light energy so he can’t make them at night, the key crystals look like small white diamonds with what looks like a miniature sun inside them but is just compressed light mana. When Ray throws a crystal and focuses the energy is realized into varying attacks, shields or just blinding spheres of light. Ray stores his crystals in his bag or in slits in his bags strap which allows him to get at them quickly.
Cappra: Ray’s sword which is a slim light double edged blade with a simple handle and hilt which is light blue with a single diamond on each side of the hilt. Cappra is about 1metre long and is held in a silver sheath with a golden trim.
Ray can only use key crystals when he’s focused and will tend to use the cover from the crystals to get close or just shoot at his foes.
Armor: Ray wears very little armor because it would weight him down to much if he wore too much. Ray has two small golden shoulder pads that are strapped there with black straps and only cover his shoulders. Ray also wears fore arm guards that are made of a white metal but are normally hidden beneath Ray’s sleeves.
Abilities: Ray’s ability allows him to trigger and create key crystals which he forms into several different attacks, shields or covers. Using and breaking key crystals has an energy cost that depends on the crystal does. Creating the crystals takes up a fair bit of energy as well that’s why Ray tends to make them as he travels rather than in combat.
Blinding Volley: when this crystal breaks it releases several beams of light that fly at there target and cause small elemental explosions which sting like hell and because of how bright they are they hurt the eyes if looked at.
Stinging Shield: when this crystal breaks it creates a shield of blinding like round Ray but leaves ray immobile, this shield can take a beating before it breaks and because Ray is immobile while in the shield it’s pretty strong but it will break after being hit a fair bit.
Esuna: when this crystal breaks it heals injury’s target person but cannot heal server injuries but can lessen them.
Sun Sphere: when this crystal breaks it creates a massive orb of light that fires off explosive beams at targets. The orb gets smaller every time it fires and will disappear after it fires several times.
Shining Blast: when this crystal breaks it creates an orb of explosive light that ray can throw at a target which will nock them back and leave minor burns on exposed skin and will blind whoever’s hit for a few seconds.
Searing Shine: when this crystal breaks it gives off its energy as a beam of focused light that cuts and burns light a blade; Ray normally uses this as a pointing beam to cut down foes at range.
Reflex Shield: when this crystal breaks it creates an unusual transparent shield that redirects any ranged attack that goes in it so it always misses who’s in the shield.
Solar Mines: when this crystal breaks it makes a flash of light that hurts nearby opponents eyes for a few seconds but makes several floating orbs of light that explode when someone gets to close, these sometimes cause minor burns but will normally sting and push back there target.
Shinning Brilliance: when this crystal breaks it causes a massive white phoenix to appear that temporarily blinds all who looks at it because of the impossible bright light it gives off.
Light Cure: This is a special crystal that gives it target the same immunity to blindness that Ray does so that they see only very dim flashes so they can fight in a mess of bright lights without fail.
Ray can create on the fly crystals which are ones he creates for the job then and there and will take more energy to create. Ray doesn’t use energy when he uses the crystals but uses a lot when he creates them, also ray can only have 30 crystals on him at one time because of the energy they give off. Ray uses key crystals more as a support because of there energy cost to use and create.
Other skills: Ray has one other skill and this is to do a brilliance curse as he calls them on someone which involves him touching them with his hand which has his elemental lock breakers on it and focusing. The curse causes the person to go blind until the curse is removed which Ray can do by touching them again and focusing. The curse shows up as a visible pattern of two suns next to each other surrounded in a circle which has curved lines coming from it at regular intervals. The curse’s image is only about 10cm by 10cm. Ray is also a good pilot who loves to fly airships and just being around airships makes him happy.
Brief History: Ray was raised in the city and received a good education till he was thirteen then he’s studies switched to being about the key crystals he could control. Ray’s father was his teacher and another man who was a friend of the family. These men taught Ray till he was fifteen then they said it was up to him to find out more but before Ray left for his travels a swarm of demons attacked the city lead by a sorcerer. In the attack Rat’s mother was killed along with his teacher. Then the attack stopped and the sorcerer entered the burning city and used his curse on his dad which turned him into a small white mouse like creature that came up to Rays knee in height. Then with this done the sorcerer left the city and its people in ruins. Ray found out latter that his father being transformed wasn’t the only thing the curse did for it also stripped his dad’s powers and made him vulnerable to age but not a humans age the creature he now was age which means he had ten years at most to live. So Ray set out to find the sorcerer and get him to take the curse back or to find a way to undo the curse which after finding out the sorcerer was killed is the only way to return his father to normal. Ray enjoys his travels and often completely forgets his goal like his father asked him but it does end up coming back on occasion. Ray's father knows the sorcerer's dead and so asked his son to enjoy his life and forget about him because he doesn’t think there’s another way to reverse the curse.
