Just wanted to talk about one of my favorite bands =D They've had two albums, their first 'Hot Fuss' and their latest 'Sam's Town'. They sound a bit "80-ish" at times, and have rock, pop and a little techno-ish vibe thrown in.

I like both albums, but I feel Sam's Town has more variety. 'Read My Mind' and 'This River is Wild' are two of my favorite tracks off Sam's Town.

I dont own any of their CDs, but I see them sometimes when i scan through channels, and land on Much Music. The lead singer looks exactly like my friend, except with a mustache, ha ha. I also like their one video, where everyone is a skeleton, or something. And the two skeletons are running towards eachother on the beach, and then they collide and explode. I found that amazingly funny.

By the way, I must say I love you sig :P , lol.

I love The Killers. They're probably my second favourite band right now
I prefer Sam's Town to Hot Fuss, even though that one was outstanding. I just think Sam's Town has more variety, like you said. Mr. Brightside's the best song they've done though...

Not a big fan really, most of their songs I've heard of theirs are good, but not great. And Somebody Told Me and Mr Brightside were both wrecked for me by being played to death on the radio and TV etc. But two other songs off Hot Fuss I much preferred: Smile Like You Mean It and All These Things That I've Done - the latter was one of my favourite songs of 2004, the bit where the choir kicks in with its refrain of "I've got soul, but I'm not a soldier" is lovely.

, lol.

xD I wonder why x3

Mr. Brightside's the best song they've done though...

I love Mr. Brightside, I heard that track when a friend of mine popped their CD in, and I was like, "who is that?!" and the rest is history xD I really like 'All these things that I have done' too though....to many to choose from xD

Yep. I agree with ya there. Exactly why I love that song <3

Revived! I recently bought the Killers albums and I adore them. Sawdust is a great album full of great Bsides and such. Excellent performers.

Aha, I knew thee had to be a Killers fred :monster:

They are easily one of my fave bands atm, Mr Brightside is made of complete win. My favourite song by them, followed quite closely by For Reasons Unknown

I hae a fabulous bright pink top with shoes on it that I got from Allposters or whatever it's called :wacky:

I recently (well, a while ago) bought Sawdust which is basically covers, B sides and a couple other choons redone. I wasnt that keen on it at first, but it soon grew on me, Daddys Eye's is great stuff & that dancey version of Mr Brightside is pretty darn good aswel :wacky:

Bah I tried linking daddys eyes -_- Youtube PHAILS. Bloody maintenece my arse

I really didn't like Sawdust at all. There was just something about it that didn't impress me at all. Hot Fuss is their better album.

Mr Brightside is made of complete win.
Agreed there.

I really liked Hot Fuss, that album has lots of amazing songs on it, Mr Brightside in particular but I like them all (which is rare for me >>).

I have Sam's Town aswell, but I've never really gotten round to listening to it properly. Bones is okay, as is For Reasons Unknown, but I still wouldn't rate them as highly as most of the songs from HF. Like I said though, I haven't really given it a proper listen yet.

Oh you should really give it a good listen, it's almost on par with Hot Fuss, it's not often I like all the songs either but I do on these 2, well most of the one's on Sam's Town and all on Hot Fuss :wacky:

Read My Mind is really good aswel & Uncle Jonny.....:monster:

Jenny was a friend of mine just sticks with me for some reason.

Hot Fuzz is a better album then Sams Town IMO.

There are so many of there songs that I can say that about, it's madness
On Top, has that effect on me really bad tho lol, :wacky: I can't believe I forgot to mention this one actually, it's rather rather epic and sticks in my head aswel. 'It's like a cigarette in the mouth, or a handshake in the doorwaaaay!'

Oh dear, Im off *puts cd on*

And I agree hot fuss is better, but only marginally :monster:

I've listened to a few of their songs from the first album.

Such as 'Mr Brightside' and 'Somebody Told Me'.

I liked them a lot so I went and bought 'Sam's Town' when it came out.

My favourites would have to be 'When You Were Young', 'For Reasons Unknown', 'Read My Mind' and 'This River Is Wild.'

They're really talented and I enjoy their music a lot.

They've gone really down hill now though. Hot Fuss and Sam's Town are still brilliant albums, but Sawdust was awful and what I've heard of Day and Age hasn't been all that good either.

I haven't heard the albums, but I have to agree that they're kinda going downhill. Their early stuff was fantastic, but it got a bit strange and weird after a while. Whilst I do love Human, their other songs after weren't so good.

Ive not listened to much of their new album, still need to get it. So I use Spotify to see how Ill do with it. Humans is a great track from their latest.

The Killers is deff my type of band :awesome: I love their songs. Of course I haven't listened to all their music though a couple I like are "Mr Brightside' 'Somebody told me' 'When you were young' and 'All the things i've done'
There's other song that I like though, I can't recall the tittle :hmmm: Very talented. I should check them out again sometime soon though.
