It worries me no one started this thread.

The Legend of Zelda is my favorite series of all time! Ocarina of Time is my absolute favorite, and Adventure of Link my least favorite. Everything about the series is excellent, from its many music remixes to Links ever changing appearences.

I know there is someone out there who loves Zelda as much as I do!

I would not say i love it. It is a fun game to play. My favorite is also Ocarina of time. But ive been thinking how repetative the game is, but we can see that in other games as well (Final Fantasy?). Right now though i am playing through Link to the Past.

I love me some LoZ!
My favorites are a tie between Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past.

My least favorite had to be Wind Waker because of the searching for the triforce shards, but I LOVED the fighting, and a change in art never hurt anyone right?

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is by far, the best adventure/Role Playing game of all times. Ganondorf, is one of the greatest villains, specially the Ganondorf from Wind Waker, when he explains the reasons of why he wishes to rule Hyrule. He wasn't that bad, he just wanted his people to enjoy the same paradisaic environment that Hylians had, instead of living out in the rough desert, with the wind carrying death, sickness and pain.

I liked that they explained Ganondorf's reasons for doing what he did in Wind Waker. He didn't just want power, he wanted salvation. The Wind Waker version of Ganondorf is my favorite, he uses two awsome swords!

I gotta say, Ocarina of Time is THE best game ever. It had a great plot and amazing characters. I gotta say the Ganon from that one was the best. Also, some of the best villains and it had some of the best graphics for the time. Which is wierd, cause they seemed to lower the graphics for Windwaker.

Wow, I haven't posted in quite a while, but here it goes: I also love Legend of Zelda. It's my absolute favorite series besides Final Fantasy. And Ocarina of Time is absolutely brilliant and I also think that Ganondorf in the Wind Waker is his best incarnation.

The fact that the Wind Waker-Ganondorf was more human and less mindless, cruel and wicked really surprised me. I kind of felt pity, since he only wanted the same joy that Hylians had, and he was jealous of them.

And the Wind Waker graphics were cool in their own way :P
It was like playing the old games, but in 3D :gasp:

The thing about Ocarina Ganondorf was that he already had the joy of a Hylian, seeing as he was the kings like...right hand man. But the thing is that the Guerudo prophecy thing foretold that if a male Guerudo was born in the desert he would be the reincarnation of pure evil. Thus, Ganondorf.

I thought Wind Wakers art style was amazing! They use the cel-shading technique, the same they use in anime-based games to make it seem like a cartoon instead of a game.

The hardest Zelda in my opinion is Link to the Past. How great would a new Zelda based on LttP be!? :)

I was just about to make a Legend of Zelda thread darn.

But hay at least there is one.

My favorite zelda games are OOT and MM althought I have played and finished ALL the other zelda games except TP I think those two had good storylines and original ideas.

Have you ever heard of gaints holding up a falling moon before. I think not.

They be making one.

Y'know what they really need? to make a TV show. not like the crap from the old show, but a good one. OR BETTER YET: A MOVIE!

NO! They day announce they are making a movie is the day I die!

I have to say I am disappointed at how short the games have gotten. I was relieved TP was as long as it was. After Oracle of Ages and Seasons, it went downhill as far as length.

Link's Awakening gave me the most trouble, personally. Tough game.

But yeah, I love the Zelda series. Ocarina of Time, Link to the Past and Windwaker are my favorites. Great characters, soundtracks and epic adventures. Love 'em.

You can't go to a size arguement over Handheld game lengths. Games for handheld systems are always significantly shorter.

Game length doesn't matter much to me...unless a game turns out to be wayyyy too short. Aside from Phantom Hourglass and maybe Minish Cap, all the handheld Zelda games I've played have been of a reasonable length.

Link to the Past got ported to the GBA. That's a pretty lengthy game.

Diese Spiel ist zu gut das ich Deutsch von sie erlernt!

Well, I've played quite a few Zelda games, and I like most of them for the puzzles. In fact, it's so great I can even learn German off of the translation of Ocarina of Time.

I'd still like to try Twilight Princess sometime though.

It would fucking suck if Link (or anyone) spoke. Some games work with having a silent protagonist and these games are one of them, the games work fine as they are.

Now I hold the Zelda series in high regard, all of the games on Ninendo consoles were complete classics with LTTP, OOT, MM (artistically probably my favourite) and WW among my favourite games of all time.

However Twilight Princess was a bit poor for me personally, really slow to get into it and just feels weak compared to the rest of the titles. It's not bad but the series is starting to finally get a bit too stale for my liking.

For those who are interested I found on another site a link to some old-school Zelda artwork ranging from the first game to Link's Awakening. There's also a few other pieces including what looks like LTTP with most of his gear as well.
