The once tranquil world of vestinalia is coming to an age of war, demons have been reported to be seen in many locations but everyone knows that the barriers the elves maintain are too great for this to happen or are they?

Coralle's dreams are haunted by visions, then when she goes to see the sacred tree it seems to be dying, this is impossible, that tree has existed as long as the barrier between the demon and earth worlds have, in fact the life of this tree is the life of the barrier. The tree must be kept alive but thanks to the barriers weakness a demon gets through and massacres the only people able to do that, but it missed one, Coralle as a girl was not supposed to be chosen and yet she was, though only she and the tree knew this, now she must find the heart fire and stop the swarm of demons that are trying to break through

And so it is that she sets off on her own adventure, and yours too.

[[you post your introductions first and only, i will return on the 1st to make Coralles post ok?]]

Location: Forest -> Town

Robert counted the coins from a large leather embroided pouch as he grinned to himself. It was another successful swipe form the local tax collector. He couldn't help but wonder how many wanted posters were up for people who didn't actually exist.

The town he had ran into the forest from was being heavily taxed, causing a great deal of suffering upon the people, especially the poor. Robert had become a sort of Robin Hood for the town, and he was always coming up with new and inventive ways for stealing coin from the collector. Each time he did, he always used a different form. This time around, he had turned himself into a female elf, coaxed him out for a drink, drugged him with sleeping powder and fled with the collected coin. At the moment, he was now in the form of a human male mercenary.

After transferring the coin from the collector's pouch to his own spare pouch, he headed back into town. He had waited long enough and tossed the collector's empty pouch into the small lake. It was time for him to go to the general store to drop the reclaimed money off with his associate at the general store and make a small purchase of supplies with his own money. He knew the lovely lass would redistribute the gold to the people during the dark of night. The two of them had worked together for quite some time, and so far, none of the guard had caught wind of what was going on. Of course, it helped that one of the guardsmen was actually on their side, turning a blind eye to the whole matter.

Alarian Silverstone Intro!

Alarian sighed to herself and patted her companion Rage. Tired after a day of travelling she stared down on the small city and felt the tug of her muscular legs begging for rest.

She had left the forest for the nearest human town, all the better a place to escape her parent's nagging and the pain her ex-husband had caused, he was sure to remain in the forest a little longer so she assumed she would be safe from him and the agony he caused here.

Upon reaching the forests edge outpost she inquired about odd jobs and was hired to track and find a local forest intruder, it was assumed whoever it was, was from the town and did not know that excursions into the elven controlled forest was forbidden via treaty.

It was only a few hours ago she had found the tracks left by the stealthy intruder and had been searching since this morning, now nearing noon Alarian and Rage had made it to the sleepy city.

She made her way to the tavern and rested a little before heading to the mayors office, he confirmed the existence of the treaty forged between men and elves and whom was also looking for the person who trespassed into the forests claiming they were a thief of some kind, stealing regularly from officials in the town. Again she sighed and accepted the role of tracking him down, a job she and her wolf were notoriously good at, she knew that her skills were beyond that of some...shallow human.

"Hmm, just after noon" she judged out loud outside, and began inquiring as to the whereabouts of this bandit group, a number of whom had there portraits hung all over the town. "This is going to be a long day"

Another night under the trees, with nothing but the blanket of the night sky to calm his nerves, and help him drift to sleep. He began to reminisce of the old days, when he was a hired hand by the king himself.

"When will this tormented feeling end!?" He thought to himself, restlessly tossing and turning from side to side.

He went from one day, being the Kings right hand assassin, to being branded a traitor by his own kin, for something he never even knew of...

Several hours passed, and Xilian eventually drifted off to sleep, awaiting to see what will happen tomorrow, hoping to head to the next city, hoping no one will spot him so that he may re-supply his provisions and be on his way without any trouble...

Alexistraz shifted the longbow on his shoulder so it would be more comfortable. It was an odd thing. Made of dragonbone; enough time poring over the library had taught him dragon anatomy and he recognized several pieces. Why would Riesera have such a grisly weapon?

His steps were leading him to a fortified city ahead of him. He could see stone walls rising up and merchants with their cars coming in and out. Luckily they weren't on his path; he was on a different road going in.

The sky was growing dim as night approached and his Elven eyes were already adjusted. As lanterns sparked up, he kept moving forward.

Mentally, he counted up how much gold he had on him. Enough to get him a room at the inn or tavern, whichever this place had.

Alarian slammed her hands on the Mayor's desk, it was lit with candles as evening desceded. "There's no-one out there who will give me a straight answer!!" she told the mayor sternly. "It's like the whole towns against my search! Like they don't want these bandits to be found! They just evade my questions and avoid answering me, now i'm being shunned as word of our search has spread." The mayor rubbed his brow and stared at her flowing hair. "Well Miss Silverstone, the chantry in the town centre... it's priests are sworn to the truth, secrets move fast in this town and if the public has had anything to say, i do not doubt that the chantry has least learned something." She stood, considering his response.

"Fine" she concluded. "But in less than a day i've gotten the impression that these folk don't like you being in charge much." At which she spun on her heels and marched out the door. "Like the whole town's against us" she muttered as she stood in the doorway of the town hall, watching the peasants mutter about her to eachother. "I'd better find some answers soon, or i think i'm going to find myself on the end of a farmers pitchfork for being nosey" she murmered to her faithful wolf.

She set off for the chantry, tired and aching, unhappy and now hungry. What a day..."I will find answers!!"

Town

Robert entered into the general store. His appearance was that of a human mercenary with caucasian skin. He had two gold pouches, one hidden and one in plain sight. He walked up to the counter of the general store and rang the chime bell three times. A lovely female half-elf lass came to the front desk and smiled to the man. "Welcome. How may I help you today?" she asked in a pleasant tone.

"I'll buy five travel rations." he spoke to the lady. As she placed the ration pouches on the desk, he would slip his hand into his cloak and and take the hidden pouch of gold coins, and then place it between the rations and his hand. The lady knew what to do. She took the pouch and placed it into a chest beneath the table.

Robert took the travel rations and placed them in his bag. With the transaction complete, he headed to the tavern to hear the latest on what was going on with the real criminals: the mayor and the lord the mayor served.

At the bar, he looked over to the barkeep. "Seventy-five percent still?" he asked. The female human barkeep looked over at the man. She poured him a mug of ale without even asking for the man's order. She knew Robert quite well, and was one of the few in his tight circle who knew that he was a changeling.

She placed the mug down before him. No guards were in the place, so they could talk openly. The townspeople were quite protective of their champion. Still, Robert knew that if anything was going to be solved, he needed to get the lord's son to become the new lord of the land. While the current lord himself was a vile and corrupt man, his son was not. His son sided often with the villagers, and was often punished for doing so.

"I'm not sure how any business is still able to survive. But since that guy keeps paying the king what he owes and hides what he steals from the people, the king is still turning a deaf ear to the people. Most folks can at least buy bread and fruits with what those good people recover, but the taxes aren't getting any lower, and collections have become weekly now." the lady explained to him.

Things were escalating fast it seemed. He knew he had to act, and while assassination wasn't something he wanted to do, at this rate it was looking like he was running out of options. The king's collectors and auditors weren't due to come for another two weeks, so trying to expose the lord for the scumbag criminal he was would mean allowing the people to suffer for two weeks. Robert took the mug and began to drink. "Delicious as always Lilly." he spoke with a smile.

Lilly smiled before leaning over the bar and kissing him on the lips. However, the followed it up quickly by whispering into his ear that an elven huntress was asking questions about the thieves. Robert chuckled a bit. "So their outsourcing. Seems like things are about to get interesting."
