The Light Within:
The Journey Begins

Even in the darkest of places, a light always shines within. It is the eternal battle that has been raging since the dawning of time. Light and darkness always collide with each other one way or another. The key to the worlds' hearts is a place called Kingdom Hearts. Due to many experiments conducted by several scientists, there are now creatures of darkness called the "Heartless". They have been going around destroying the worlds.

To counter the Heartless, the Keyblade came into existence. There used to be one lone Keyblade master, but now the power has been divided to many Keyblade wielders across the universe. One of the worlds where there are many wielders are on a world called Destiny Islands. The Heartless and those controlling them have their sights set on finding the princesses of heart there. Only the princesses can unlock the way to Kingdom Hearts and the door to everlasting darkness.

Can the Keyblade wielders unite together in the fight against the Heartless and those controlling them? Or will they fall too deep into the darkness themselves before realising how deep they've sunk?

Note: Ok, so this is a Kingdom Hearts Role Play. You know the story, blah, blah. Just wanted to add some creativity in there. Adding the game's story would be a bit boring, eh? However, you don't have to be a Keyblade wielder if you don't want. There can also be up to seven princesses of heart, so three or four might just do ...

I wouldn't have time to join this for another week (finals asploding me), and even then, no guarantee I'm in, but can I ask some questions?

1) Cannon characters or no cannons? (I personally prefer no, if you're curious.)
2) Are you making all of the villains, or would a player be allowed to be a villain as well?
3) What universes are accessable? (All Disney? All Square-Enix? Invented? Other games?)
4) What power level do you want players to start at, and would you want them advancing from there as the story progressed? (I.E. do you want players to effectively start at a 'low level', barely knowing how to swing a keyblade, and gain power and abilities as they adventured; Or would you want them starting at an effective 'high level', flying around and killing 1000 heartless in one sitting, as expected of an endgame character?)
5) Does this story take place before, after, during, or as an alternate universe of the original games?

Anywho, good luck with this RP. It should be fun. ^_^

Well, according to his public profile, Xehanort's last post was on the 15th. If he doesn't show up soon, you might have to consider this one dead in the water. However, if he DOES magically reappear, I have teh most awesomest character I wanna use. ^_^

*sigh* fine, I'll share him, though the dood doesn't seem to be coming back.

Name: Twill
Age: 14
Gender: None, though he usually refers to himself as male, and uses the masculine pronoun.
Race: Animated clothing.
Items/ Abilities:
Akashic Journal: A book, filled with more pages and words than it could possibly hold, that automatically fills in every event that happens to Twill. This serves as his memory, and so long as the pages remain in tact, so too does his recollection in perfect detail. However, by that same token, any alterations made to the words in the journal are real and permanent transformations to his mind.

It is unclear how many times this book has been rewritten, but Twill is sure it has been edited more than once (due to some historical inconsistencies and holes). Furthermore, there are even chapters containing information that he never even could have experienced, which is an occurrence the troubled cloth often speculates the reason for. Whatever the case, every chapter of his life is sacred to him, and so it is understandable that he keeps the journal safe and hidden on his person at all times.

Mana spool: This large spool holds the thread which the ‘Nimble Weavers’ (see below) draw from. As enemies (heartless or otherwise) are fought, this artefact mysteriously fills and winds itself. It doesn’t seem to have any bearing on Twill’s energy itself, as he is never fatigued so long as he remains in tact, but it is a necessary material for him to keep in repair or use his other abilities. However, some correlation to ‘mana’ exists, as energy restorative items (such as ethers) will convert their energy into thread for the spool when used.

Nimble Weavers: These ten ornate, 6 inch long, sewing needle like relics normally make up the clawish digits of Twill’s hands. However, in order to repair or craft something of cloth (including Twill himself), these tools can disembody and dextrously pull along the thread of the constructs essence with impossible speed. Using these, even the most damaged of attire is repaired near instantly, and new clothes can be woven in not much longer. But, perhaps more often, these tools are used for their combat applications:

-Heartless Knot: By shooting threaded needles repeatedly through every nearby enemy, they can be pulled together and sewn into a clump (usually centered around the biggest, or otherwise most immobile of the bunch). Particularly powerful enemies can usually break free of the knot, but doing so will harm, or even destroy, the weaker ones tied to them. Given the amount of thread and complete concentration required to maintain this technique, it is not one to be used recklessly.

-Spell Tapestry: Some of the most beneficial chapters in the Akashic journal are those that involve the laws of magic. Though Twill can’t channel the mystical forces straight through his body into being as most living creatures can, he does have the capacity to weave arcane scrolls imbued with enough of his own essence to bring spells to life. As intricate as the tapestries are, basic elemental attack scrolls can be manifested in the moment it takes to swing out ones arm, and activated with the appropriate command. More powerful spells can be woven by extending the time and effort put into a piece, but Twill only knows the principles of the 3 primary offensive elements (fire, ice, and lightning) as of now.

The living suit: Twill mode
If things get too difficult for anyone to handle on their own, Twill can choose to fulfill his purpose as a battle accessory. As naturally as he can flex his buckles and fibers to move, he can open up and equip to a willing ally. However, it is not an action that comes easy to him, for he not only sacrifices control of his body, his consciousness, too, must go into stasis, leaving his journal (and therefor mind) to the mercy of his wearer.

-Enhanced Capabilities: Generally, the enhancements made to the wearer of Twill are an improved agility and defense (as well as a second keyblade). However, the mystical living threads that make up the suit also adapt and shift to reflect the personality and abilities of the wearer, so anything is a possibility.

Keyblade: Webscroll
-As his body is offered up as an accessory, Twills heart is separated and frozen into a weapon as well. This keyblade, which has his clasped shut journal hanging from a chain at the pommel, takes the form of a spider at the end of a blade. It’s legs and fangs consist of the needles that once made Twill’s fingers, and from each of their eyes, a thread connects to the large scrolling mana spool that lay between. As the keyblade is used in battle, thread is collected, and the spool is wound. Using this, the wielder can perform any of the feats Twill himself is normally capable of with but a swing and a word. Furthermore, inventive fighters may even be able to improvise new abilities using his power.

Personality: Usually speculative, hopeful, and somewhat hypercritical of others. Recently, however, he’s been finding himself vulnerable to the influence of dark thoughts.

Appearance:
Twillsmaller.jpg

Twill usually appears as a hooded figure, dressed in vibrant hues of primarily purple, green, and gold. Though it is rare for somebody to immediately realize that he is an empty suit of clothing, there is something about his posture and movements that can betray his secret.

Bio: Darkness comes to all worlds, but not all of them have enough light to shine through it. One man, too enfeebled to defend his dying lands himself, instead wove every fiber of hope left in the shadows into the creation of a suit, which he could entrust with the life of his grandson. But, simply making a powerful accessory wasn’t good enough for him. He couldn’t be satisfied unless the outfit itself was capable of moral judgement, and, more importantly for the old man, that it be a friend when all others reminders of his world were gone. Thus, the Akashic journal was created, and within it, was recorded the history of the world, and the feelings of the man who watched it collapse.

For years thereafter, the suit first took care of the boy, and then fought along side him. The words most dominant in his memories being those of compassion and love, which he relayed to the lad as they both grew up. Before long, the boy had matured into a young hero, and the pair were great keystones in the collapsing armies of darkness that would have otherwise destroyed all worlds. However, there came a traitor to the light who managed to overpower them, and the suit was captured.

The chapters that follow are full of holes and malign inconsistencies that may still threaten to drive Twill’s very mind into the darkness. However, against all odds, he miraculously found himself back in the light. He has no idea who rescued him, or why, but he is eternally grateful. Now, knowing there is no hope for his friend, all he can do is move forward, and seek to resume his role as a tool of goodness.
Theme Song:

Name: Kuroi Roze
Race: Human of the Hana Clan(Hana means flower)
Gender: Female(no, i am a boy, but... there's not many females in the rpg section so why not be one? i say?)
Keyblade: Animal's Rose- A keyblade that masters using animal and plant summonings in a either destrutive or herioic way. Some of the animals, Suigestui knows are snakes, slugs, toads/frogs, wolves and man-eating worms(50 ft. tall), Some plant summonings she knows are deadly roses, man-eating plants and a special trump card move in which she only used once when consumed by darkness, none know of it(common sense here ah, oi! When she used the move it killed all that saw it she then went to another world, the only person who survived from it was an old man who's now dead)
Items/Abilites:
-Summonings(explained above)
-Rose Destucta-Uses roses to make a person lose all senses for a peroid of time(lol!)
-White Rose Leaf-A large white rose is suspended into the air, it's part of her Rose of Love move(her special move) half of her body is put into it
-Black Rose Leaf- A large black rose is suspeneded into the air, half of her body is put into it, it is part of her Rose of Love move.
- Roze no Koi- Both leaves fold out showing Kuroi and she is in the mouth of man-eating plant, suddenly all oppenants are instantly transported in a world of flowers good and bad, fierce battles will take place but it's all genjustu and when a person dies in this world they see Kuroi one last time when the plant somehow kills them. If an openent doesn't die of this, then they are transported into a large pit, with Kuroi's pet, Ningen kuchini no hana which is a man eating plant, the user if controlled doesn't die of this but is sustened w/ the mark of whatever force controller and is sealed w/ it, thus making it stuck w/ it. If done w/ sheer force then the user shall die.
- Breeding Rose(last attack)- The user is quickly swiped w/ a mark which every time a plant hits will go +5, once this gets to 40 the user turns into a plant himself
Disadvantages-(for having a lot of moves, this is what I must do to be fair)
- If fire touches Kuroi, she will lose most of her health, unless if she summons her toad.
- If lighting touches Kuroi, she will proably have crictal damage.
