The white spot on their noses

could someone explain whats the deal with the white spot on everyones nose? i realised in most FMVs all characters had a white spot on their nose...so thinking it might have been a problem with my TV i asked Riku about it and her said that their was a white spot too o_0

its even in the pictures in the guidebook o_0

So does anyone know what its their for? does it have any purpose? or is it just a really really random thing?

Wow, yeah I've just realised that's weird, maybe it's an effect added by SE to show reflections of light? something they maybe couldn't do before

Hmm, I've noticed too. I'm thinking it has something to do with realism? They're probably trying to make the characters look more realistic, so maybe adding white spot to it makes it seem so? -Shrugs-

I say it's probaly the light, the realism in graphics and all.

Well actually I have no clue, I guess realism might be the reason or maybe the graphic artist has a fetish for white spots on peoples noses..

I'm ashamed at you. Brady wrote the article about this back on RPGPR. It's because of the low polygon count. There are actually less polygons per person than there was in FFX. They said they found a way to improve the graphics while lowering the polygon count... meaning that it required less RAM to run the game.
