I was taking the revision quizzes to study for my Thermofluids exam tomorrow. Question 7 went as follows:

7. Steam turbine (Points: 10) How do you work out the temperature at the outlet to a steam turbine given the inlet temperature and pressure, the outlet pressure and the isentropic efficiency?

I selected the answer C.

When I got my feedback, I found this message:

i dont know what any of that means, but when i have a wank the stuff that squirts onto the wall is usually quite warm. does that make it a thermofluid?

Semen is a fluid and can undergo thermodynamic... stuff, so yes.

We don't cover semen this term though.

oh no. its not semen, that usually goes into your mothers mouth (sorry ), the stuff that squirts onto the wall comes from my mouth. i get very excited and scream and spit...

Ahh, the joys of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. It would appear you do have enough information to solve that problem, if numbers were given. I would have to look in my books to solve that equation though.

They don't give you numbers. The answers were just paragraphs detailing methods and I just had a guess. And I picked C.

We had a saying here, back when I was in school. "When in doubt, choose C". Regardless of whether you knew the answer or not, I'm thinking C definitely wasn't the right choice for this question.

I'm quite good at English and History.

But then I always seem to get the same letter in row in multiple choice questions. I get nervous if the same letter comes up more than 3 times.

I'm nervous if it comes up twice in a row, but we don't get a whole lot of multiple choice answers in our exams.
