Combatants - Jacob William King and Vex (Hera Ledro vs. Soulcorruptor)
Arena – Earth: Savannah Desert
Winds roared and blasted up sand at random times, the scorching heat of the Savannah beating down on the sand dunes and valleys.
A fierce wind blew up a chunk of sand, spraying it on the cactus patches to the north and north-east. Not a drop of water was to be found as the sandstorm brewed and fell, creating twisters of dust and dirt. Snakes and scorpions roamed the land freely, their poisons fatally toxic to whomever their fangs or tails penetrated.
Not even an oasis was nearby to allow a bit of shade. Dirt, dust, and sand as far as the eye could see. A vulture circled above the epicentral sand dune, whose peak pointed southward.
In a great orange flash, three creatures appeared on the sands. To the south of the dune was a young human boy, teenage in appearance, and garbed in a black sweater. Atop the hill of sand was a human-looking creature, though tall with oddly coloured eyes.
“Heroes of the worlds,” an imperious voice called. A man floated between the two warriors, high in the air and garbed in light- and dark-brown robes. “You have been retrieved from your lands to combat in a trial of leadership. Whoever defeats all of the warriors they are pitted against will move on to become a leader in the fight against evil, a leader who will save our worlds from total annihilation.”
“Should you fail in this endeavour, you shall be returned to your home. There you will stay and live the rest of your life, until we are saved or destroyed by the Abominations. Die, and you will be reborn in your world, and be forced to relive life during the modern age of death and chaos.”
“Here, you will find your abilities aligned with Earth and Fire to be amplified to twice their strengths. Use these advantages wisely, and fight your hardest.”
“Do not forget, your battles will decide the fates of the worlds. Battle for your lives, warriors.” In a flash, the floating man vanished, accompanied by a sound uncannily similar to a rock being crushed.
The winds blew harder and faster, though the sand refused to move. It was as if the very world knew what was happening; what would happen should its combatants fail…
