London doctors have captured what appears to be twins battling for space in their mother's womb.

An MRI machine recorded the battle during a study on a potentially deadly condition called twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.

The condition in which blood from one twin moves into the other only occurs in identical twins and can lead to one child being born much smaller than the other.

In the video, the smaller twin looks cramped and repeatedly kicks out at its sibling with both feet.

The other twin responds to the blows by arching its back and pushing its knees out.

I've never seen anything like this. I've only ever seen one baby on it's own in the womb, but to see twins and how cramped they both look in there was quite shocking.

I feel so bad for the little one. ):

It turns my stomach to see babies move inside someone. I don't know why, but two creatures inside of you... Meh. I know it's a "good" and "gorgeous" thing most of the time to create life from just growing in a female's body, but... :lew: It does turn my stomach sometimes. I guess if I ever get pregnant, I better prepare to puke around the house. :sad3:

Didn't really look like fighting to me, just bumping and giving the mother a hard time. :gasp:

I know, I always think of the movie 'Alien' when I think of having a baby inside me.

I think 'Alien' is the movie when the babies burst out of the womans stomach. :hmmm:

But yes, looking at this really confirms my thoughts on either adopting or surrogacy. XD

With Alien it is even worse.

The xenomorph alien famously bursts out of a man's chest, initially. It is supposed to play with male anxieties. But it can take any host human or animal. It's a genuinely creepy alien.

Those two babies are slightly creepy too. Not for the wriggling about and such, but when that giant baby moved his mouth up and down it looks like a talking skeleton.

I think it is interesting seeing this though. Scans of babies are getting more advanced, and I'd sometimes wondered how twins react to the shared space as they are developing.

You will be puking anyway from all of the morning sickness. :lew:

And yeah, it didn't really look like a battle so much as the babies trying to move around a bit. Babies are typically very active in the womb so I imagine with twins and the lack of space, they end up bumping each other a lot.

hoho shes gunna have a lovely time when theyre ready to pop out her vagina. Her husband will have a hard time pleasing her after that :ness:

Makes you wonder about these weird cases in India where woman have had up to 10 kids inside theyre womb. When you think about that seriously its mental :rage: 10 wee kids in one lassies womb :| scary
