Ok so I was in town the other day and I was waiting at some traffic lights. Then a little girl started waiting at the lights as well (she was probably about 12-13 maybe younger). Then some old guy started waiting at the lights as well.

Now here is where it gets weird, the old guy then pulled out a camera and started (quite obviously) taking pictures of the little girl. It was really obvious that the old man and the girl didn't know each other because the girl didn't walk with him or even notice him.

As we crossed the road I kept an eye on the old guy to make sure he didn't follow the girl (he didn't). Now I could have quite easily misinterpreted the situation, but seriously what the fuck?

Ack, yeah that would be quite disturbing if I were in her shoes. I don't care if the guy was taking pictures in a non-kinky-related purpose (or maybe he was, who knows?), but for him to take pictures randomly just like that is certainly out of the norm. It's a good thing you tried to keep an eye on them at least.

The little girl didn't notice him taking pictures of her though...? She probably did but tried to ignore it...

Well that's not sick and wrong, the weirdo -__-

I was in Ashton yonks back with the mothership, I must have been in my mid teens somewhere I can't remember being old and decrepid myself now and some old man asked me for the time then decided he would like to cop a feel and gave my arse a squeeze. I called him a fucking dirty bastard and ran away. Eugh, creepy old get. I can't believe that girl didn't notice, I would have smashed his camera in his face if that was me and I saw him doing it. Pervert

Hmm that's kinda funny just how old was he? I don't think it is wrong though unless the girl was wearing something inappropriate or was revealing for a public place, still she is young for an old man to be perving on her. I would have been WTF? too though. Interesting story.

Ugh, that's disgusting. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's pedophiles. If I was in that girl's shoes, I probably would have flipped him off, kicked him in the nuts, and then run off.

But yeah, just how old do you think he was?

If I had a 12 year old daughter, I certainly wouldn't want her walking around town on her own. I'm not sure what that dude's intentions were, but still...that's creepy. It's good that you made sure he didn't follow her.

It's sickening, why would someone take pictures of a 12 year old girl for non-kinky purposes, it's just wrong in so many ways.

I'll be honest, being the kind of people we are, if he had done that over here in England and someone had seen him it's most likely that someone would have had serious words with him at the very least.

That does sound pretty creepy, but to be honest I doubt the guy was a paedophile. If he was, he probably wouldn't have been so obvious about it. Unless he had some kind of mental disability or was just generally a bit mad so didn't think about the consequences of being so obvious. Maybe he was just an over-excited tourist who thought the little girl was cute or something? >_> Mind you that's still a bit weird, but maybe he didn't think he was doing anything wrong.

The guy looked like he was in his late 40s/early 50s. As for the girl she was just in her school uniform.

ewww... gross... CHA!! If some creepy old dude started taking pics of me i wouldnt ignore him... id go freaking crazy on his dumb ass. CHA!! DONT MESS WITH ME!! CUZ ILL KICK U IN THE BALLS, SPIT IN UR FACE, AND SKIP AWAY!! CHA!!^^

thats sick!
i would've pushed him in front of a car or maybe a lorry
that happened to my friend, not hit by a lorry
but some old dude with a camera.
its Just wrong

People have problems. To the tell truth, I would of approached the man and asked why he was taking pictures (No, not hit him, for all I know, he might not have deserved it). It is completely out of the ordinary though. If he didn't know the girl, then why would he wanna take pictures of her?

People nowadays... ¬_¬

On the subject of weirds, a guy at the end of my street decided to walk down it naked whilst reading a paper, apparently he had a plastic bag over his man hood which blew off in to someones garden xD

I find it funny, but, at the same time it's just abit(lot) wrong because I bel;ieve there were kids about

I can't believe this guy lives on my streeet .....haha

im really glad you watched the guy.......if it had been me i would have confronted him...pedophiles are the lowest of the low

a similar experience happened to me in the 3rd grade...it was recess and a buddy and i were making cheesy poses for the shit of it....when suddenly we see this flash...we look over and behind the fence in the alley is this lady...she smiles at us and walks off.....believe me, we ran as fast our legs could take us to the supervisor. She then went in pursuit of her but never found her.

Yes, she was young, and he was old(er). And yes, he was taking pictures of this girl, and it didn't seem as though they knew each other. And yes, it's extremely odd, but that doesn't make him a paedofile. Let's try to avoid jumping to conclusions.

Were there any words exchanged between these two? I'm assuming not, as you didn't mention there were.

It is an odd/uncomfortable situation with all that's said, especially considering he didn't follow her. Now, it would have been a horrible situation had he followed her... but him not following her shows that they clearly didn't know one another.

It's really unfair to start saying, as if you confidently know, that he's a pedophile, that he's 'sick' and such... Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not sitting here saying he isn't either, but there are too few facts, and too many possibilities here to come to any sort of conclusion.

It's sickening, why would someone take pictures of a 12 year old girl for non-kinky purposes, it's just wrong in so many ways.

Also, how is that sickening? He could of had the most innocent reasons for taking the photos. Wouldn't it be "wrong in so many ways" had he been taking the photos for kinky reasons? Not the other way around?

I'm glad you kept an eye on the young girl to ensure that his man didn't follow her, SaShman. Hopefully, none of the negative thoughts resulting in this situation are true. I also hope he didn't have any sinister intentions behind taking those photos.

It is not right to take a picture of a person without their permission so whatever it is that the man was doing it is wrong.
Also, how far apart was the girl and the man standing? I mean, if I was the girl I would've obviousely noticed somebody pointing a camera at me.
It's strange, are you sure they weren't together?

The man was a few meters away from her and yes I'm quite sure they didn't know each other, they didn't talk to each other and they didn't walk off together.

That's why I didn't confront him then and there and waited to see if he would follow her.

^ Or in short, Public areas. Its illegal to take photos of people in Private areas; you can't take a shot of someone if they're standing in a shop or something. That at least applies to most countries.

i personally would have stepped in when he started to take pictures, even if you got the wrong idea, and it was for a legit reason, its best to find out and stop these perverts, god knows what he has done with the photo's :/

CCTV cameras are a bit different as you can request a copy of any image that shows you from the appropriate official. Hopefully that girl will never see that guy again, therfore the photo is entirely out of her control.

Saying that i do think that attacking some guy for taking a photo is a little off. As has been said no one has any idea why he took the photo, it might have been innocent. checking the girl wasnt followed ws the right thing to do.

Her saftey is whats important, not attacking the man.
