I went on Gamefaqs.com to check to see if I could just input a code to unlock the bosses. Apparently you have to buy them from some shop, they cost "500PP". Does anyone know how much "PP" you get from beating storymode once? I'm hoping I don't have to do it more than twice, cuz to be honest I don't want to play storymode... because I don't understand Japanese. I just imported it to get used to the controls before the NA version is released.

Lol.

I suppose 1V1 might also offer some 'PP'.. (I'm taking referrence from another fighting game)...

Well, best, you go through the story mode, and look out for any numbers that shows up.. That should be the PP lol! And i thought you have to use the a certain hero in order to unlock his respective villain...?

All characters are brought from the store and cost 500 PP, Gabranth and Shantotto cost 1000 PP and you need to complete their Story Mode before they are avaible.

To unlock the Villains on the store you might need to complete the story with a Hero to unlock its Villain, not sure.

You can also unlock Chaos as a CPU playable character only.

That's exactly what I was going to say. It should be fun beating up old-school bosses with characters from another world. I just hope this "PP" is easy to get or else it'll take forever to unlock my favorite Onion Knight.

Onion Knight is already playable from the start. Only Villains, Shantotto and Gabranth are locked, however their alternate costumes need to be brought.

*sniff* Why does everybody call him Onion Knight? Luneth is a better name plus it doesn't make him sound like he was plucked out of the gound or something ;)

Because his name is Onion Knight, just like Warrior of Light. Onion Knight is NOT from FF III DS, but rather from the original one, were all characters(?) were Onion Knights. This was explained by someone on a Dissidia thread. The same goes for the Warrior of Light, he has no name so he is called by that.

Onion knight was his name in the NES version of FFIII, as was Arc, Refia, and Ingus. The DS version added a rich storyline and gave each character a name, past, and distinctive characteristics. If the DS version was never released, he would be called Onion Kid. The Onion Knight job itself would probably give Luneth the most power, because once you reach level 99 on your character, all of your stats reach 99, and you can cast level 8 magic up to 20 times.
But because of how damn popular Cloud is he'll probably be the main hero and because of how damn popular Sephiroth is he'll probably be the main villain.

Well... has no one here imported it? I have but its in the mail somewhere and not my house. I was just wondering how much PP you get per fight, story completion, ect. So I'd have some idea of how much work is required to unlock a few bosses. I'm hoping that when you complete a storymode with someone that you get 500 PP, that would just make it nice and easy to buy the bosses as you go through each characters story.

Lol, Alphonse... From what i know. The main villain is Chaos, and the main hero is Cosmos.. Chaos summoned all the baddies, while Cosmos called all the heroes in. For what reason? I don't know, or don't remember.

Maybe others did, but not me, I'm not ever going to get a game in a language i don't understand unless its for free =D

I'll be buying the translated version when it becomes available though.

Well i am playing it now and i did one on one battles and got enough PP to buy the villains but you can also unlock them thru story mode. The get 10 PP in one on one you could get more but you got to buy it and in story mode you can get anywhere from 10 PP to 70 the most i got so far.
