Upcoming Marvel Movie release dates

well you can't forget the others now.

X-men Origins: Wolverine comes out in '09
Punisher:War zone and Hulk come out this year.

Punisher was a kickass movie. Glad they're making another.

Even cooler is the Captain America movie. 2011? Yikes. I guess I won't bother getting too excited for it.

the only thing I really wonder is which characters besides iron man thor hulk and captain america, and Nick Fury will they use for the Avengers. Maybe black widow or something maybe someone else. I don't know but I want to.

The Incredible Hulk comes out 13th June '08.
I saw the trailer in the cinemas for it yesterday, the whole plot looks like it will be great but when the Hulk kicks in...well, not so good. :wacky:

Glad to see they haven't forgotten ol' Thor, for a while it seemed like that movie was stuck in limbo. I can't imagine who they'd pick for an actor though...ugh, choosing right actors poses the biggest problem for these comic book movies.

There's also a Magneto movie coming out in the next few years, apparently. I hope so, since Ian Mckellen was a badass Magneto.

I got The Avengers at 2009.

How could you forget about Ant-Man :D

BTW, Captain America is NOT an original Avenger. He came after the core members united.

Thor, Ant-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Wasp and Iron Man.

All of which are having movies made after them.

Tony Stark will make an appearance in The Incredible Hulk :)

Also, i've heard that Ant-Man and Wasp will have their own movies AFTER The Avengers epic movie is released.

Thor, huh...I never really liked him much outside of the Avengers...I like Norse Mythology, but as a superhero?

Captain America for that matter...Cap was always cooler w/he was w/someone else...maybe cause he secretly needs his "Bucky"? How are they even handling Cap's past? Did he ever fight Nazis? Or are they just going to make him current and have him fighting Al Qaeda? *groan*

idk about the new Hulk...I haven't seen much of it so far, but it looks like they still need to keep him mostly in the shadows, huh?

I don't know how I feel about a Wolverine movie because I know it won't be rated R and thus won't give him credit where credit's due...He's got fuggin metal knives coming out of his fists! He needs to bloody up some bad guys somethin fierce!! But, no, we won't get something cool like the first Blade movie...we'll get something cheesy & lame trying to be darker like the Ghost Rider movie...

From what I've heard of The Avengers they're going to be using more of the ORIGINAL Avengers round-up...which would mean Iron Man, Hulk, Giant Man, Wasp & Thor...Now, they're also gonna have Cap (who joined not much later than the start of the original)...and if they do have Hank Pym they could use any number of his personas: Giant Man, Goliath, Ant Man or Yellowjacket (all lame if you ask me...Hank was a douchey wife beater & genius of the Marvel world if you couldn't get a hold of Mr. Fantastic was all I ever heard about him)...of course, they could be adding or subtracting a TON of people since the Avengers has one of the largest casts this side of Marvel's merry band of mutants...or even DC's Legion of Superheros, probably (especially if you count the reserves!)...>_>

There's also a Magneto movie coming out in the next few years, apparently. I hope so, since Ian Mckellen was a badass Magneto.
X-Men Origins: Magneto.

There's a chance Mckellen wont reprise his role, though, since it's going to be set back when he was a victim of the Holocaust and how he met Xavier.

I'm loving these new titles.

Also, i've heard that Ant-Man and Wasp will have their own movies AFTER The Avengers epic movie is released.

The info in the OP was from Marvel themselves apperently so I'd go along with that. The Avengers page on IMDb probably hasn't been updated yet.

Ant-Man is scheduled for 2010 and the second draft of the script has been worked on since March/Aril of this year. Should be a good laugh since it's Directed by Edgar Wright of Hot Fuzz fame and rumored to star Alan Tudyk (Wash from Firefly).

For Thor I'd imagine they may go with the more modern Ultimate version of him which would be pretty cool. Considering they've got SLJ to play Fury then this is a real possbility.

I've never heard a Wasp film was being made though, that's news to me.

Captain America for that matter...Cap was always cooler w/he was w/someone else...maybe cause he secretly needs his "Bucky"? How are they even handling Cap's past? Did he ever fight Nazis? Or are they just going to make him current and have him fighting Al Qaeda? *groan*

It could be that in the first film have it all set in WWII to explain his origin then have it finishing with him being thawed out of the ice in time for the second movie a few months later.

Screw X-Men: Origins... I don't like Wolverine. :|

But Thor! Yaaay! I'm glad this whole 'superhero movie' trend thing started, because I like most of the Marvel movies. I never really read the Thor comics, but I've seen him in some other things and it should be fun.

[edit]: But Magneto's movie should be sweet. I'll see it. :)

I see that the Wolverine film has Deadpool in it. This is a good thing. Sucks they don't have Brian Cox playing Stryker though.

it shouldn't be that bad, there will be others coming out to fill in the gap even though I myself have been asking for a remake of Captain America ever since the made the fist spiderman. And they better use Steve rodgers. sure the have the others to choose from, but Steve always had the best stories.

and also which story line would they used for thor, cuz there is quite a few of them now. there's straight up god thor, thor bound to a human, a human given thors strength and power, and of course now there is the return of thor.

Here is the Marvel press release from their own website, just so everyone is on the same page.

Geeze, whenever I see a movie w/a 3+ year release date that always means that they've basically just got scripts being written...which in turn basically means it's still in ****ing limbo and they should just put TBA on the ****er...>_>
