Ahhh, FFVII and its many ^%#&*$% words. Gotta love the good old colorful vocab words that were thrown in throughout the game here and there to spice things up a bit, particularly 2 certain individuals. But the question is, whose the top swearer?

I have to go hands-down with Cid here. If he wants his Gah-Damn Tea: (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...spitality7.jpg), he lets you know it; immediately! Sure maybe Barret didn't shoot out as many curse words, but he was pretty blunt himself at times. But for reasons such as the following listed, I'm going with Cid:
Repitition always has a valued meaning to it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3.../ancients7.jpg
Drawing it out for a lasting effect: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...hedlaunch7.jpg

And...

My personal favorite:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v308/BustaMo/cid.jpg

Admit it. You just wanted to post that chocobo pic. I'd have to agree with you on cid. Barret only seemed to do it when he was mad. Cid did it way more often then that. Though I think Cid was always mad.

I agree that Cid was definitely more of a cursor, though both did it quite frequently, Cid did it just because hes Cid. Barret did it more because he was pissed off.

Cid: "Wait a little longer, I still have to teach this moron how to fly" (or something like that)

Cid: "Shera, where is the gooddaam tea!!!"

Cid: "$"#$%$%#%"#$"#!$#"!%$"##$!"#!""

out of words?

I say Barret since he was doing it all through the game. Cid did give it one *!#^ of a shot though. :holyshit::holyshit::holyshit: I guess though if they didn't code them out we'd know moreof what they are saying. Eh I'm trying to make my post long enough!

Barret. He was %&&%$£!'ng before Cid came on the scene. He even said the "S" word without symbols near the beginning, I always LOL'd at that!

I have to go with cid also. I think he has a farmer mentality and I think barret tries to watch his words even if he isn't an educated man. he just sweares when trhere's trouble while cid just sweares *period*.

Barrett was swearing first, beacuse like, duh, he was there first. That would be like putting me in a room with someone 10 hours laer and trying to say I swear less, just because I got there later. Every other word of Cids seemed to be an expletive, Barrett, just always appeared to be shouting

Call me immature, but Cids outbusts amuse me no end, and he does seem to be swearing more for the limited dialogue he has compared to Barret

So like, Im voting Cid, if I even made any sense there <_<

Nah I believe Cid kept swearing, Barrett was like that when he is mad and it's not that much, Cid just swear whenever he sees something weird or actions he doesn't want to see, just like the tea situation. so I'll go with Cid. :monster:

Definitely Cid. It's pretty rare for him to go five sentences without there being at least one curse in there. Barret was a pretty colorful speaker too, but he did limit it to times he was angry. I think most of that was because of Marlene, though he did spout off a few choice words in her presence when he was pissed off at Cloud in the beginning.

I voted for Cid. As much as I loved Barret cussing out everything that has to do with Shinra, Cid would cuss like a sailor. Plus most of Barret cuss words were %@#&, and while I have a good imagination I would more like too see the word and not a bunch of symbols.;))

I gotta vote for Barret, I enjoyed his tirades more, they stood out more to me, I guess cause Barret was larger than Cid, so he stood out more too me...although I liked back, I just dont remember that much of Cid

I'd say definitely Cid. You saw more of the !@#%!#*^#@#$^ out of him then you did Barret. I noticed that Barret only really swore when he got pissed off. As for Cid, I think swearing is just a part of his vocabulary. :wacky: So yeah, my vote goes for Cid. Plus his constant swearing was so humorous, it amused me to no end. I kinda think that might've been a comedy factor to the game, really.

Jaja o cid he is just normal like if you are in a situation that you are about to die you usualy dont say nice thing you just damn every single thing and when things go wrong to. Cid is the most trash talker ive seen in ages after my father jaja. He does gives a spicy feeling to the game.

I go for Cid as well.He didn't only swear in the game but AC too. He's got so many funny dialogues that I can't resist this guy.
Barret swears very often too but mostly when he's pissed at something but for Cid those are just his everyday words to use.

I'll go with Cid, I mean come on the sounds of his breath is like "hhh-shiiiiit-hhh-shiiiit"!! I bet when he was born he cursed his mom, and I'm sure Barret did not do that. GO CID

Cid's one pissed off old dude, gotta love him. He definitely cursed more than Barret overall taking into account he arrived on the scene much later.

It was hilarious wasnt it? It gave Barret and Cid much more of a personality, you felt like this was someone you knew in real life. Although funnily i noticed they never carried this trend onto AC:wacky: wonder why?
I preferred the way they used @&^%# as oppose to real swear words, they made me laugh every time i read them,.

It dawned on me that someone else was able to get away with a profanity with no censor (but only once) and it was Cloud

Conditions required:
PSX game (NOT Greatest Hits or any kind or release after that and PC? - if anyone knows that one, let me know)
Sector 5 boss when the bridge was blown away which left Cloud hanging on.
Dialogue Selection - "Don't know if I can't hold on" NOT - "Be strong"

Aside from the non censored line, you get a point for the dating game for Tifa (Barret for the other option)

Verifies it

Cid of course!
Come on now the guy swears for no reason!! xDD
It's hilarious!! Cid curses at anything that has to do with ShinRa and the entire world!! xDD

~Tifa~

I'll go for Cid xD Barret swore to express his anger / disgust, while Cid swore for the crack of it. It seemed more natural for Cid to swear than it did for Barret too.
