Final Fantasy 10. Sin destroying our lives our world. Its real life. "Sin" is real. It is every thing that we do bad. When the world produces to much sin we get in return punishment. Sin is what leads to wars, death, suicide, ANY NEGATIVE THING IS CAUSED BY SIN!!! How does war start? A bad sinful choice you know you should not do. Death? The killer is a sinner but the killed are often killed because of their sin. Suicide happens because of sin throughout the world and sin from other people in which you cause sin to end sin. All of this is REAL. I truly believe the only way to end "SIN" is by counter balincing sin with Faith/Holiness. Go to church pray follow your religion. But...What if there was a way to to put a big dent into ending sin. What if you went to every graveyard in your state(if you live in the U.S.A.) or have other people help you pray at all the graveyards in your country. What if this helps the world and puts a HUGE possitive impact on the world. I for shure am going to be one of the people to go on my own "Pilgrimage" to all graveyards in my state with my friends "Guardians". This game was made to show how poorly humans made the world. If we follow the story we can influence millions more into becomeing "SIN FREE" then we can finally live in a world of peace. Am I the only person who belives this? please respond with your oppinons.

Oh yes, I have noticed. Great explanation!
However, when we commit a sin there is always a reason for our mistakes. For example: If I was tired during the day I would be cranky and curse a lot...
We are forgiven because sins are mere accidents.

After that war between Zanarkand and Bevelle, a lot of people died. Dead people were angry at all those who lived. That feeling was so strong that all of the pireflies formed Sin. When Sin is defeated, those 1000 year old spirits were set free.
Quite confusing I think. Because something never appears out of nothing. As Lulu said that pireflies form fiends...

At least that's how I see it.

True, but there are people more than anyone can think that cause sin intensionally. Do you think Seymore caused his sin accidently? He wanted power he was jelous of people with greater power so he cause more unforgiving sin to gain more power. But a person does not need power. they need the ability to use their head and to pick and do the right choices. Sin is sometimes accendential but do you think its accedential after causeing the same sin over and over again? I think not. When you create a minor sin and are forgiven you find that most people like the feeling of sin "adreneline rush" this is the power or feeling that God gives you as punishment. Its your choice when feeling the rush to continue being a sinful person or to relise what you are doing is wrong and then you are truley forgiven.

Seymour was misguided by his parents.
His mother became a fayth and Jyscal - Seymour's father wasn't able to protect him from the "cruel world"

See?

Does that mean he has the right to cause total sin by killing and having all things go his way? Say for instense in real life... you are a homeless orphan. You dont have the right to grow up and kill somebody for jelously. when you go to court and say i never had the love of a family you will get no sympathy you will go straight to prison. I know Sin is always going to be produced but like I said if we can counter it with faith we can make the world so much better. There are people in the world who want to desperatlery make the world better but they do it by causing sin which actually makes their effort useless as they make the world worse. For Example "Anonomys" They belive scientolgy is a cult but they try to stop it with sin by using bomb threats and protests while hiding their identity. I have been doing research on this topic for 2 years now. I have plenty evidence to prove my point and please if you have the chance look up the group anonomys and see how aful our world has come to look at their videos on myspace look at the newsarticles and this is just a know group. Thousands mabey millions more of these sort of groups are bound to be out there trying to help the world by making it worse with sin. If only there were more people willing to take the lenghts to do the stuff I am willing to do in order to make the world what it used to be before human beings caused sin. This place I belive is "Paradise" Hevan is were you go when you die. Paradise is a place you can go to while alive and you get there by ending "SIN".

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I believe that there is no way to end sin. People can pray and be as altruistic as they want but while it may convince a few people to change their ways it will never completely end sin.

Things aren't that simple, there is always a cause for why people do what they do. For example, parents are often the reason for why people are racist, they teach their children their own racist beliefs and their children grow up to commit hate crimes based on those beliefs.

Or, say if someone who was sexually abused as a child, rapes someone. While they are still committing a crime, there is explanation as to why they do what they do. Yes they still have the choice of whether or not to commit a crime, but there are certain factors which will influence their decision greatly. These people still deserve to be punished never-the-less, but this shows that Sin really can't be stopped by faith and holiness.

Sin is often a result of circumstance, someone may kill someone else in order to survive. Someone may steal to survive. The fact of the matter is that faith and holiness simply aren't enough to end sin.

Pilgrimages are nothing new, even in modern times pilgrimages and other religious rituals aren't uncommon. In Hinduism for example, many people decide to go on a pilgrimage during their lifetime and to be blunt, it hasn't changed the world.

Good for you, but you shouldn't expect to end sin by doing this, whilst you may inspire some people to change their outlook on life I'm sorry to say that it will not put an end to sin.

I am sorry, but that which you wish is most likely beyond our grasp. "Sin is part of ourselves, it is merged with the core of our very souls. No matter how altruistic you might be, "Sin" will always emerge given the slightest provocation. We can not deny our human nature, nor alter it so easily. As a matter of fact, sin is sometimes necessary to give balance. Just like a hellish world would not be ideal, a paradisaical and perfect world would somehow fail to complete its designated purpose. Without evil, we would never be able to define good, just like we can not define darkness without light and vice versa. A completely perfect and ideal would probably drive humans insane, because it would take away the world as they see it now. If death were meant to not exist, then life would lose its meaning, its purpose. In fact, we would surely lose all interest in life at all. Just as we yearn for immortal life deep within our hearts, an eternal life would -ironically- make us wish for a peaceful death.

But there are those, like myself, who would wish to somehow "be and not be", it is hard to explain. Sometimes I wish I were a ghost while maintaining the ability to interact with other humans if I wished it. With the ability to disappear and reappear as I see fit.

Then again, that would be too perfect for me as well. Difficulty and harshness gives purpose to those goals we follow. Without it, why would we want to follow our dreams in the first place? Are not the most impossible of our desires the one we want the most?
:math:

It also depends on your definition of 'sin'. As some believe we are all born from sin, making us inherently sinful.
Personally I don't see lust as a sin, and greed to a certain extent is part of human nature, so is partially excusable.
Also your 'paradise' excludes everyone that isn't Christian.
I don't think that there can be a world that is completely good and nice and happy.

I paid more attention to counting the number of times the word "Sin" was used to be honest. :p

But to be fair, I kind of see what you are getting at, but I don't know, not really buying it.

We could never pray away Sin. Sin is an action or even a thought, and once you've done the particular action or thought that particular thought, it's too late. We cannot change the past. This is why in religion they talk about forgiveness.

So to pray and rid the world of sin, would be to remove "free will" from us all, because we are all capable of committing any crime and any sin at any time. Praying to make it go away isn't the answer, some might say redemption is.

This is where real life and FFX differ. Sin is thought to be a punishment in FFX, but in real life, sin isn't a punishment, it's an action, the punishment is result of the action.

Earth Without Problems = Humans Dead
Humans Dead = Peace
Peace = Near

Humans can't live without problems, cuz if we somehow could resolve all of our problems what would rest? What you will do if no problems were stand on you? Being on nothing is as bad of sin itself. Being alone makes part of it. Pain and problems makes us stronger and prepare us to bigger dangers. No one can live forever without problems. We breath Problems, we cry problems, we walk on problems....
