of that fookin chocobo that lives in sazh hair. And the mini game in nautilus, do they think the ff players are 3 years old.

well a mini-game is better than no mini game...........a lot of people were complaining about no mini games like the past FF's.

But I do feel ya.......the chocobo did piss me off......hiding around the corner and shit.......and when you find it you get nothing for it either (I think).

It's just another one of those "kiddie" moments in FF.........

and he probably keeps the chocobo for hope.........Dajh did love chocobo's and sazh kinda has a special relationship with them I guess.

I wouldn't even call it a "mini-game" to be fair, they just seemed to randomly throw it in there because they could, there was absolutely no point to it. I can understand the Chocobo Chicks to a certain degree since I'm Sazh was meant to have bought it for Dajh as a pet, only
Dajh was turned into a L'Cie
so it was never given to him until the end.

Being honest, the baby chocobo was probably my favourite character. Animals haven't been used very much in recent FF games, so it was great to see a baby chocobo being used as a Lassie-esque character.

I think the main point of the baby chocobo was that it was an awesome idea. A chocobo that lives inside of an afro? It can't get any better than that. They just really liked the idea and decided that the chocobo can be always present without always being seen. Therefore they can use it whenever they want to without it constantly following the party around.

If you're looking for a further point then I guess several for this character can be found.

It was a gift from Sazh to Dajh, meaning that Sazh's quest to
be reunited with his son
had the baby chocobo as a constant reminder of this. Since the chocobo was never
given to Dajh before he was turned into a L'Cie, then the chocobo is the closest thing that Sazh has to Dajh for the meantime. It's his one connection with Dajh throughout the game, and when he looks after the chocobo chick he is also helping himself get over the loss of his son, while at the same time being all the more determined to get him back
.

The chocobo also
saves his life at one point, as Sazh was going to blow his own brains out with his pistol until the baby chocobo landed on his gun and gestured to him that it wouldn't be a good idea
.

As for the mini-game, it was just a little thing they decided to do. There was a complete lack of mini-games in FFXIII, which was really disappointing considering that you got to visit a really cool theme park. The chocobo mini-game was just a way to use the baby chocobo to make the game slightly different from the usual structure for a few minutes. I quite enjoyed it because I was just glad to not have to fight lots of battles for a while.

I loved the baby chocobo. The only bad thing that I can think of about it is that it isn’t seen enough.

I love the Chocobo chick just for the noises it makes!

"Weeeeeeeeeeeee" "Weeeeeeeeeeeeee"

My girlfriend and I had my brother looking at us like we were nuts because we were imitating it.

All in all though, I thought it was kind of a neat idea to have the Chocobo chick always with you. Kinda like how Bartz had Boko early in the game.

Chocobo's are the most awesome creatures in the Final Fantasy universe, so a Chocobo chick is pretty cool :) The Chocobo chick makes more sense then the lack of Moogles

Sazh kept the chocobo chick because it reminded him of Dajh. Aren't we all sort of like that? When people in our family die we hold on to things of theirs because they remind us of them...so whats so wrong with that?

I will admit that his hair, was an odd place to store it but...I can't see Sazh keeping it in his pocket or a fanny pack because it wouldn't be able to breathe...but its got to be pooping in his hair. Regardless, I think the chick was a bright spot for Sazh during tough times. While it would be odd to us, FF is famous for weird creatures and etc..so I don't think keeping a bird in a fro is too far out of left field for them.

spoiler if your not at gran pulse

The chick really bugs me, big time. Slightly off topic is the chocobo a l'cie as well bearing in mind it was there with anima when they were all branded. Also at pulse vanille is holding it and she says 'he''s brand', they must be referring to hope as they run to him before fighting alexander. Does the chocobo have a mini brand under his wing. His eidolon would have to be fat chocobo from ff9, see that could of been a mini game right there.

No, I think the chocobo chick was trying to tell Vanille that something was up with Hope, and she realized it must have been something with his brand (since everyone else but her's up to that point set off the eidolons)

That little guy was a breath of fresh air. Not since boko in FFVIII had a tiny baby chocobo played an interesting part. I liked the little guy I did that sequence just the other day, no harm was done buy it, just a fun diversion.

I dont think Nautilis was a traditional theme park and more of Vegas type of joint.......lotsa gambling and such......stuff.
