What or who inspired your sense of humour?

I thought about this, and for me, it would have to be Bugs Bunny, as a starter anyways, like.. since I was a kid. And no, I'm not talking about the corny jokes, I'm talking about the dark humour. Anyone ever watch the show "Dead Like Me"? (see sig) That show is based on black comedy. So is Trailer Park Boys.

I have a very cynical sense of humour and I'm very sarcastic .. as said by others. I'm naturally a dark humoured person and I think I get some of it from my Dad too.

Anyways, what about you guys? I know a few people who was inspired by South Park or Family Guy.

Heh, I like this thread. I have a pretty out there sense of humor every now and again, but it changes with the circumstance.

I got most of my humor from crack addict television shows such as Ren and Stimpy and Beavis and Butthead growing up.

I watched a lot and I do mean a lot of Looney tunes. Animaniacs, Rockos Modern Life, and quite a bit of other shows. I was the class clown pretty much through elementery, being a down right retard to make people laugh. Through the rest of my life most of my friends have been strong influences on me, but like I said I have some crazy humor every now and again.

I use sharp sarcasm, as some of you have seen, when someone is being a re-re or I'm trying to make like of a situation.. and that comes from my brother. Most stand up comedians along with Old saturday night live episodes are my general make up. (Chapell, Bruer, Miller mostly)

I'll add more to this later, but for now that's all.

Ive no idea. Ive just always had the same sense of humour....probably get it off my dad though, he's off his rocker aswel. Im abit stupid, have a potty mouth and Ive never been afraid of poking fun at myself, none of my friends were as bad as me...so Im guessing its hereditary or some shit xD Actually, my mums pretty dippy aswel....I suppose I ot a combination of them both and its produced me :wacky:

I dont think anything Ive seen on tv or out has influenced me....

No one really inspired mine, it's just who I am. If anyone is going to inspire it, it will be the people who you hang around with and generally people will have the same sense of humour, I just have the odd habit of saying what I think, unless it's a serious matter then I'll think about what I'm going to say before I do. :awesome:

Actually, now that I think about it, I meant influenced more than inspired
Like I said: Bugs Bunny.

But people can be inspired.

Nothing on T.V has really inspired or influenced me, although I do enjoy the varieties of humour shown on T.V.

I have an odd sense of humour and sometimes it depends on who I'm around.

Like with my mum. We muck around and do stupid shit and talk about farting and stupid shit like that. XD

When I'm with workmates I'm a bit more normal and we share the same sense of humour which is a lot different to that of my familys sense of humour. XD

For me it depends who I'm with at the time and knowing what kind of humour suits the group I'm with.

Although I do have one friend who kinda influenced me. I find that we are almost identical. XD

Yeah Same And Also with some groups off people there are things I'd Be able to say that would be funny but with others they'd Find it the opposite and probbaly tell me off :kelly:

On Tv my biggest influences are People Like Matt horne and James Corden
:P

My parents, I suppose, who raised me on British comedies from the 1960-90s.
So I grew up watching Dad's army, Monty Python etc. I guess it turned me into a bit of an elitist, as nothing really compares with the best.
I also like jokes that are in really bad taste, I guess that's just because it offends and annoys people with bourgeois attitudes.

My family hates my sense of humor, they dont think Im funny at all. In any case they think Im daft or mad. My mad uncle who use to babysit me can find me amusing lol. But my mates get my humor more. Its unusual and bit random, kinda like Spaced, Father Ted, IT crowd and Mighty Boosh all pushed together to create moi lol.

I dunno tbh. I can be quite sarcastic at times, but i always let it be known that im joking, because honestly i hate sarcasm with a passion, i find it very irratating. Il laugh at almost anything, crude jokes dont bother me unless theyr on a topic which i dont find amusing. Im not fond of tupid comedy though, lame jokes and gags just make me raise my eyebrow. Gimme some frankie boyle, lee evans or billy connely anyday and im sorted.

My friends in primary and high school influenced my sense of humour greatly. These days I can find almost anything funny so long as it is done right. I like the kind of humour that can offend/shock me and make me laugh at the same time, it needs to be delivered properly though, otherwise it is just plain stupid.

You people. ;)

I love the sense of humour from most of the people from here (notably Chippy) and I guess I just absorbed that and tried to make it my own. And since most of the humor I've heard over the years has been a blend of sarcasm and witty comments, so have I adopted those. :hmmm:

Definitely my parents. I remember they would watch loads of comedy DVDs so I watched them as well and the humour in them just became my taste in comedy. My good friends also influenced me because they would find similar things funny but maybe with subtle differences so as time went on my taste broadened etc with all the people I've met.
I do think it's something inherent in a way though. My sister was brought up with the same style of humour and her favourite comedy now is Friends.

I really like humour that makes you think "ah yeah, that's so true :lew:" and witty jokes that take the piss out of real life. I've always liked rude jokes even if people find them offensive. I mean, people laugh at the expense of others all the time and then they get offended by certain subjects? Pffffft, you didn't care about the feelings of people you were laughing at earlier. The only thing that offends me is a crap joke.

Yeah my brother.......we share the same sense of humor which I passed on to niece and nephew, which has since been bastardized into some kind of name calling monster! Im not sure what inspired my sense of humor but its a mangled heap.

I think I have an omni sense of humor as in there is not much I dont find funny, except every and any sitcom developed in the last5 years........useless.

Cow and Chicken (the old Cartoon Network cartoon), and my dad I suppose.
Cow and Chicken because my style of making people laugh is through slap-stick (although, weirdly enough, I don't find the slap-stick sense of humour that funny myself).
And my dad because... he sees humour in everything. :elmo:

Basically, what sort of thing makes you laugh? Is it crude humor? Or something more complex that makes you think?

Personally, I'm into stupid humor. Childish jokes and the like can easily have me in stitches, where they'd make anyone else cringe. However, stuff like the Simpsons and Family Guy can have me laughing too. :wacky:

I like rubbish jokes, the crappier the joke, the more I'l laugh

I like toilet humour as well. Just general immaturity has me in stitches. I can luagh my head off at some kids shows, Ooglies, Dick and DOm etc. I'm just a massive kid

Tbf though, I do find pretty much anything funny

Everything makes me laugh. Everything has the potential to be funny as long as the attitude is a light hearted one.

Ooglies is so much fun. Household objects/food getting pulverized. What's not to love? Diddy Dick and Dom is funny too? :wacky:

I do love to see people on the street fall/sustain minor, comedic injuries. :8F: Slightly sadistic, I know, but when someone tripes and goes sprawling, (so long as they aren't badly hurt) it's hilarious.

there's nothing funnier than some cunt falling over, I'm not discreet about my laughing at them either. It makes a change from it being me. I have every right to laugh at other folks misfortunes :mokken:
